Templestowe Dental Group

Negative experience: I've been coming to this practice for many years and recently had some dental scans done that were not cheap. I was meant to have another follow-up appointment two weeks later, which was cancelled because the place suddenly closed. If I go somewhere else, I'll likely have to have those scans redone. I've tried calling (disconnected) and going in person, as well as looking for other contact information to see if it was possible to transfer my patient records someplace else, but that seems to be impossible now... I hope someone knows of a way to get our records back other than making a complaint to HCC. They have an obligation to let their patients know what will happen to their records and how to access them if they close down.

Negative experience: Super disappointed, after 14 years as patients, they have just closed. No communication, no nothing. Last week we called multiple times to try and get ahold of them with no luck. We needed an emergency appointment for my son who loves to See H and the team but literally nothing. My mother in law went to see what was going on and she told us the blinds were down, gates were closed and nothing on the door to even notify what has happened. It’s very sad to see such a great dentist just disappear, how do we get ahold of our records ect now. If H and the team read this, we hope that whatever has happened you are all ok. Wishing you all the best. We will miss seeing you all for our check ups.

Fantastic experience: The best dental clinic in town! Update: it appears the clinic has suddenly closed. Possibly due to financial difficulties. This is very sad.

Fantastic experience: My previous dentist retired and I hadn't been to one for over 20 years. My bottom molar chipped off while crushing an ice cube so I carefully selected this one in my area. I was not dissapointed. It's evident Dr. H and the staff here love their work they offer a great service, were very professional and made me feel very comfortable. The ambience is pleasant and also suited to children who may be concerned about dentists. Very happy to use this as my regular dentist going forward. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: We came here to get a second opinion on our family dentist who had given us a very expensive and extensive list of treatments we needed. Dr H. broke this down and explained what was necessary and provided us with more options and competitive prices. He explained things thoroughly and was very reassuring. Dr H. was great with the kids and all the dental nurses and receptionists we have dealt with have been friendly, welcoming and professional. This will be our dentist clinic now.

Fantastic experience: I'm really anxious at the dentist, but I've finally found one that doesn't belittle me or make me feel stupid for needing a filling. H is very caring and actually has a sense of humour. Who knew a dentist could have that!?!? He fixed my broken front tooth so I can smile again, and replaced two crumbling old fillings. He's definitely going to be my permanent dentist from now on.

Fantastic experience: A HUGE Thank you to all the lovely staff at Templestowe Dental Group! They are fantastic with kids, and all show genuine kindness and compassion, especially those who are anxious about visiting the dentist. My 7 year old daughter needed some serious work, but was extremely anxious getting into the dentist chair, so much so, we were initially reffered to a specialist that recommend she go under general anaesthesia. But, an emergency absis meant we were left with little choice and have that tooth extracted immediately by our local dentist here. They managed to calm her enough to go through with this procedure, and eventually made that experience a good one for her, that we were able to come week in, week out to have crowns and fillings in place. Big shout out to Miss Chloe & Miss Ashley, Gemma, Sophie, Dr. Hoang and all the staff here who were very patient with not only my 7 year old, but also my cheeky 3 year old daughter who I had to bring in every appointment ..Also, appointments always ran on time, and the waiting area is clean and comfortable. Amazing team!!

He has a good understanding of the level of anxiety that making a dental appointment can create and knows exactly how to create a soothing / calming atmosphere. He is extremely sensitive with a light touch and after many visits I can say that I have never experienced any pain or discomfort. The clinic staff are pleasant and welcoming and the service price is very reasonable. He clearly outlines your dental needs but never ‘pushes’ for you to go ahead if you are not ready. Fantastic experience: We moved to Melbourne recently and needed to find a new dentist. After doing some research online we came across the Templestowe Dental Group and my wife and I decided to give them a try for our general check-ups. We were greeted in reception and booked-in by Bec and were seen by Dr Louise Thavarajah and her assistant Gemma. Both my wife and I were absolutely delighted with the whole experience from the new client registration to the thorough dental examination and clean through to the extremely professional and friendly bedside manor. I returned two weeks later to have some minor cosmetic work done and once again was really impressed. We are so so grateful to have found such a wonderful dentist in our new neighbourhood.

Fantastic experience: I went to Templestowe Dental group today,fornthe first time,for an emergency broken tooth etc. Dr Michelle looked after me, and her lovely animal loving assistant. Fantastic experience: Dr Louise Thavarajah is the best dentist EVER!! I'm a self-confessed dental-phobe, I haven't seen a dentist in quite a number of years. Dr Louise and her fabulous assistant Georgie were so kind and patient and incredibly professional in dealing with all my fears. Dr Louise took the time to explain what was happening at each step, which I really appreciated and she consistently checked in with me to make sure that I was comfortable to continue with the appointment. I felt very well looked after. Lovely, caring, professional staff. I would highly recommend this practice and, in particular, Dr Louise Thavarajah.

From the second I phoned Templestowe Dental, the receptionist was very informative, warm and empathetic. Dr H’s bedside manner (especially with children) is second to none. He did not make me feel pressured at all for any treatments, and took as much time as required to address all of my concerns. I am so pleased with Templestowe Dental, and will be recommending him to all parents I know in the area for their children’s needs, and will also start going there myself. Such a bubbly man!
