Negative experience: Very disappointed in my service. Came in for sensitivity of my teeth on the left side of my mouth and to fix up my retainer wire by re gluing it down again as it has lifted up. Went in on 11th August and paid $291. Has been three weeks and the glue has not been able to hold the wire. I called back up to see if they would fix it as its been only 3 weeks. They blammed it on the manufacturer of the wire. This has cost me alot of money to do this. If you couldnt fix it to begin with why did you try then. In addition still having sensitivity to the left side of my mouth where I cannot drink water. I will never be recommending your services to anyone and for sure wont be coming back to you ever again.

Negative experience: Waste of time needed a filling not a root canal...ended up paying $172 for getting stuffed around do not recommend.

Positive experience: A clean turned into my bottom teeth being disfigured. My privacy was breached while I was getting my teeth cleaned. Very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Dr Eshraghi is amazing! I have been upset by my smile since I knocked my front tooth out 19 years ago. Being a fan of always opting for the most minimal and natural option, I have put up with the imperfect cap and root canal that was performed thinking that my only option was an implant when the time comes and not being happy with this. Dr Eshraghi confirmed this to be true but also explained why. Also advised me to leave it be until necessary though too. Then suggested an option to still improve my smile by performing a very small and inexpensive treatment to three of the adjoining teeth. This option required no drilling or filling down of my perfectly healthy though not so cosmetically perfect looking teeth. The result, a smile that I am overjoyed with! I cannot believe that no dentist in UK, Germany or capital cities in Australia that I have visited has ever suggested this! I'm a client for life! Also recommend my friend who is petrified of the dentist and he too had the best experience! Reception staff also lovely. Thank you with a big smile! She has left but I now see Mo and he is also amazing!

Negative experience: The dentist that I wished I never had gone to I can't express just how bad this whole experience was In the dentist near North ward and the 2 Indian nationally women who I had were the most rude and most aggressive people I have ever come across in the whole health industry they didn't even care when the numbing agent was not working and continued to drill and to make it worse the assistant was pushing my head away from the dentist with the suction tool bruising my mouth and the dentist I don't know what she done but she must have drilled to far and to the nerve and put a pacth over it and it have left me in excruciating pain once the medication has worn OFF WOW the pain is like I have had my tooth ripped out with pliers don't ever go to this dentist I will be reporting them azwell .

Negative experience: I was overcharged $87 and was only notified of this by my private health insurer after I manually filed my claim because their HICAPS wasn't set up for my dentist.

Negative experience: 1300SMILESi have jaw problems from my last appointment there. I can not open my mouth properly or chew properly and my mouth gets stuck open if i yawn now. The last dentist i saw caused me so much pain and suffering.

Fantastic experience: Being travellers from Newcastle and today being out last day here I was lucky to get an appointment at 8.45am as I'd chipped a molar. Dr Mo was very professional explained the procedure was going to be bigger than first expected. Absolutely surprised when presented with the account. It was half what I was expecting. Definitely recommend this practice. Desk staff were lovely and welcoming

Negative experience: I have got done a small filling in one of my front teeth and not happy with it. It was my first visit to the clinic and WON’T be going back again. Extremely overpriced.

Negative experience: Have had many teeth fixed prior this coming to 1300 smiles. Overpriced and not very good. I was told it would cost $400 on the phone. Then when it was done I had to pay closer to $700. 6 months later I received a message to say a booking had been made for me. And when I called about it and asked why they said it was a check and clean and once again didnt’ t tell me the price would be another $300-$400. Scam. Would not go back or recommend to anyone

Negative experience: Worst Dentist! Butchered during failed tooth extraction and rushed away without even whiping the blood of my face. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

Negative experience: MY GOD! Not only were they 25 minutes LATE, she was as rough as guts. The dentist must understand people need to BREATHE! I rate them them down there with the "cash cow" processing centre GP Superclinic!

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful treatment of my tooth yesterday (8 April) from 1800 Smiles on Flinders street. De Farnaz Eshraghi was terrific: attentive, calm, caring and skilled which made the treatment pain free. Dr Farnaz dental assistant was equally caring as the eu both observed my anxiousness before the dental treatment and helped me overcome it. The reception staff member was wonderful too, very courteous and helpful. I highly recommend this dental practice and Sr Farmaz to anybody, especially if you feel anxious and apprehensive about dwntal procedures.

Negative experience: If you are getting more than just a clean done I would steer clear of this place. I have had two cleans here with different dentists and both have been fine, no real issues. On my second clean the dentist informed me that I would need some fissure seals fixed. She then took some X-rays which showed that I had no decay in any of my teeth so it would just be the fissure seals. Because I am from Brisbane and this is not my regular dentist, I got the quote from the receptionist and ran it by my regular dentist. He agreed that all sounds about right. So I booked my follow up appointment at 1300 smiles. This is when it all went down hill. I went in and while my dentist had her hands in my mouth she informed me that she actually did a filling instead of a fissure seal. I gave absolutely no consent for her to do a filling- she just did it. She also did not explain to me why I had a filling done, especially when my X-rays showed no decay. I then got to the reception desk and the filling cost over double the price they quoted me for the fissure seals. I felt taken advantage of, extremely disappointed and I felt very violated. The fact that I had absolutely no informed consent for this procedure really really upset me. If I was actually asked about getting a filling I would have gone to my normal dentist in Brisbane. I feel like a filling was done just to get extra money from me. I also think if she was going to give me a filling anyway then why bother taking X-rays which cost me more money. I am so disappointed and will never be returning to this dentist.

Negative experience: Biggest waste of money in the world! $135 for a script of 400mg ibuprofen and a referral. Put a mirror at the end of your bed and wake up to you selves! At least ned kelly had the decency to wear a mask when he robbed people unlike you maggots

Fantastic experience: Visiting the dentist has always been one of my least favourite things. I have very sensitive teeth and find even the simplest interventions in my mouth difficult to manage. Well, that was the case before I met Dr Farnaz who takes the time and care to attend to my sensitivities. Her delightful manner allows me to relax and to tune out while she does her work. I travel from Charters Towers to see her in Townsville and it is well worth the travel and expense.

Positive experience: The dentist was thorough and explained everything that was being done and why and answered all questions I have. The only negative was that when I arrived I checked in at reception and was asked to be seated without being given a new patient medical form which I thought was odd but thought maybe I’d be filling it out in the consult. The receptionist and another staff member were unprofessional in my opinion sitting in the reception area discussing personal matters, new glasses and taking photos of each other to compare their new glasses. Nothing major but having worked in a medical setting myself this kind of behaviour is generally something for the staff room at lunch not in front of clients. It was evident at the end of my consult that I should have filled out a medical history and new patient form prior to my consultation however it was the dentist that picked this up instead of the receptionist who should have given me one initially.

I have needed to have a decent amount of work done and Dr Crystal John and her team of assistants, Jesse, Chloe & Jacinta have been very informative, patient and caring with each visit. The work on my teeth is second to none and very reasonably priced. I can highly recommend this team of professionals….you won’t be disappointed.
