Negative experience: The bad experience rating is for the nurse named Clare beside Dr Coulson. She is so rude and she thinks she knows better than Dr Coulson. Dr Coulson is the most kind and genuine dentist but the abrupt and rude nurse made all good vibes collapsed !! She should not work there. Receptionist is lovely too.

Fantastic experience: I relocated to Goldcoast with a terrible toothache.Not knowing where to go and how long it would take to get an appointment I was feeling desperate. Dr Coulsen and his excellent team took me in immediately and although thinking at first that I may lose the tooth, he managed not only to fix the toothache but I kept the tooth which now seams perfect. Thanks for the very professional,constructive and caring approach .

I had gum and calculus buildup issues so reluctantly had regular dental checkups, but was always stressed before and during appointments UNTIL my husband convinced me to try Maven Clinic at Southport. All the staff there are wonderful. Janet and Stephen are skilled and friendly. They instill confidence. I no longer feel stressed about dental work because of the Maven team

Fantastic experience: Love the staff here, they are great with my 2yr old. Have worked with me on strategies with my ADHD and inability to remember to brush my teeth, they also helped my husband who has a lot of trauma around dentists and fixed issues he had that were cause by his previous dentist. 100% happy and am in a 6m schedule at the moment.

Fantastic experience: I’ve never liked going to dentists but Dr Stephen Coulson makes the experience painless. I love his manner, he is fun and an exceptional dentist. The receptionists are also lovely. I’ve recommended him to many of my friends. I tell them I love him and they look at me as if to say “WOW you like going to the dentist?” I don’t want him to ever retire.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing the lovely team at Maven Dental for 5years they are highly recommended due to the quality and precise dental care they offer. My Teeth were extremely damaged from years of using Apple cider vinegar and Lemmon water as my morning ritual, to the point I had no enamel left on my teeth. With care of Stephen and his team my teeth are now sparkling and have a beautiful smile.♥️♥️

Negative experience: Amazing staff. Every single one of them was amazing. Quality of service was perfect! BEWARE the possible price gorging when using PRIVATE health cover. Unfortunately, maven dental as a group seems to massively increase charges based on whether you have health cover. A price comparison of one itemised item, approx $103 without private health cover vs approx $150 with private health cover (nib) I attempted to contact maven head office to ask about this but they did not respond. I have waited approx 3 weeks before writing this.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time coming here today and I'm glad I did. Janet was wonderful, talking through the condition of my teeth and advising me on how to best take care of them. As I am quite anxious about the thought of experiencing pain it really wasn't that bad. I got to listen to music and had a warm cloth over my eyes so it was kinda like a beauty spa, very relaxing. Janet kinda has that soothing voice so I felt really comfortable in her presence. Thank you for a wonderful experience, I will definitely be back in two weeks time with my son's.

Negative experience: My front tooth had broken off and I went to Smile Plus because the reviews were so good. Unfortunately Dr Jack was rude and unprofessional. He made me feel discriminated against because I am a pensioner with no health insurance. He wouldn't listen to me and got annoyed when I was trying to explain my dental history to him and he told me to listen to him instead. He bonded my broken tooth back on and couldn't give me any idea how long it would last. He drilled into my broken tooth without anasthetic and hit a nerve. He ground down my bottom front teeth without informing me. I left the surgery in tears...and with a quote for $3834 to properly fix my front tooth along with info about applying for their finance.
