Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Laura at Mount Lawley Smiles for a few years now, and after trying several other clinics that often felt overly pushy or upsell-driven, discovering Mount Lawley Smiles has been a breath of fresh air. Laura and her team are genuinely honest, professional, and trustworthy. Every check-up is calm and never feels rushed, and I have complete confidence in both Laura’s and Amy’s clinical judgment. Something I hadn’t experienced with previous dentists. I recently felt compelled to write this review after having an issue with a mouthguard which didnt fit correclty over six months ago. Despite the time that had passed, they were happy to fix it without hesitation or charge, which is rare these days and speaks volumes about their care and integrity. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mount Lawley Smiles to my family and friends.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Mt Lawley Smiles highly enough. Dr Laura, Louisa, Courtney and the rest of the team are absolutely lovely and incredibly skilled at what they do. Dr Laura treats your teeth with the same care and attention as if they were her own. She has a calm, reassuring manner that really helps if you’re feeling anxious about treatment. She’s also fantastic with my school-age children - patient, gentle, and kind. It’s a warm, welcoming practice where you know you’re in the best hands.

Fantastic experience: I would have previously voted myself the person least likely to leave a positive review for a dental clinic, let alone a 5 star review, but here we are! I have held on to previous dental trauma for over 30 years, and my teeth and confidence have paid the price. With the support and encouragement of the whole lovely team at Smiles, and with their understanding of dental anxiety, I have managed to get through 2 treatment appointments so far. They made a plan, worked with me to make sure that I felt safe, and I remained in control at every stage of my treatment. This allowed me to get through a lot more than I imagined I could. I highly recommend them for people with sensory issues, too, particularly ASD. They will not judge you at all for bringing a soft blanket and a stress ball if it helps you get through your treatment. In fact, they encourage it! So if you are like I was, and you think you'll never be able to sit through a dentist appointment, don't give up. Give them a go. You will be surprised at how strong you can be with the right people behind you.

Fantastic experience: Great Dentist. I recently had an old filling redone by Laura, was expecting some sensitivity for a few days but didn't have any sensitivity or pain. Fantastic job, very friendly staff.

However, I've had multiple appointments with Aimee and so has my son and partner. She is very gentle and patient, and she really makes sure her patients are comfortable. Fantastic experience: I have been going to see Dr Laura as my dentist for the last few years. I am historically nervous about seeing dentists but Laura has been fantastic and I am comfortable before and during all my appointments. During the appointment the team check in with me and makes sure that I am comfortable. I have my regular check-ups done here. I've also recently had a specialist fit mouth guard made for hockey. Previously I've also had a number of major dental procedures completed as well (root canal and crown, also a tooth removal). Most importantly I received a 10/10 at my most recent check up in December 2024, no work required and a well done for keeping my dental health in top order! Laura is the only dentist that is not afraid to work on my jaw. She genuinely cares about her clients. Even though I was extremely nervous they both made me feel comfortable throughout the whole procedure and even checked up on me after the procedure was done. Fantastic experience: Being like most people I was petrified of the dentist. I knew I had to start going to the dentist and get over the fear then all of a sudden I met these Angels. Laura is utterly amazing. Her ability to calm you, to reassure you and to genuinely care is something I’ve never had with a dentist before. My teeth are the best they have ever been. Laura is very kind and always checking in. It makes the world of difference. 1 year later and I love (ok maybe not love but I enjoy seeing the ladies) now going to the dentist. Not only do I feel fearless now but my confidence with my teeth is something I’ve never had. From the moment you walk through the door and are greeted by Louisa your nerves leave you. I have had quite a bit of work done and have never had any issues. It was also very reasonably priced as I expected it to be a lot more expensive for what I needed done. Fantastic experience: I am completely terrified at the thought of going to the dentist. It’s a paralysing fear.. However, the beautifully gentle Laura was recommended to me by a friend & I really needed to see someone. From the moment I made contact, I was put at ease. I felt seen, I felt heard & most importantly I just knew I was going to be held in such a heartwarming space. My instincts were correct. From the second I walked through the door, Louisa was welcoming, friendly & comforting. Then I met Laura & her band of merry assistants. During the initial consult, every fear was listened to & understood. You have no idea how much that means to someone like me. The next two appointments for treatment pretty much went the same way. Fantastic experience: My four children/tweens/teens have visited Smiles, Mt Lawley, for four years. Dr Laura gently educates and treats them. Each child is encouraged toward daily care of their own teeth, mouth, gums, lips and splints/retainers to the best of their abilities. They are engaged with respect and good humour, with careful regard to their age and stage. Unsurprisingly the children have become quite expert on dental care- ask my crew about flossing, Picksters, brushes/brushing techniques, fluoride treatments, fissure seals, plaque versus calculus… they are practically encyclopaedic. True, they might not always walk their talk. The plaintive ‘have you brushed your teeth please?’ as a teen shoulders a backpack to leave for school or slinks upstairs to bed is still heard here more than once a week- but I am a parent and they are children. They do know what is ideal, and this empowers them. Dr Laura is also part of the Governments Medicare Dental Scheme- to care for eligible children’s teeth. My eligibility means each child can have checkups and work done which is paid for by this benefit. Not all dental practices take part in this scheme. My children’s dental health is every bit as important to me as their physical, emotional and mental health. I cannot overstate my relief to have found such a thoroughly professional and friendly dental practice. Dr Laura and her team are always kind, courteous and reliable. I am entirely happy to recommend this practice.

Little things like warming up the water before washing your mouth (so that the cold water doesn't hurt sensitive teeth) shows you how considerate this dental clinic is. She came out to me for a chat to see how I was and then invited me in her room if I was comfortable. Kind and understanding, easy to chat with and very reassuring.
