Especially after I had had some not so great work done somewhere else. I’m really grateful that she took the time to explain what had been done and how we could move forward on a better path. She was also super kind when it comes to teeth sensitivity, with lots of check ins and breaks when needed. I would recommend her to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Just had a really pleasant experience at Lygon Family Dental. I had contacted the clinic yesterday due to an emergency, and was booked in straight away. Dr Surabhi was kind, professional, and immediately put me at ease. I would highly recommend her service!

Fantastic experience: Super happy with honest high quality service here. I had been doing the opposite of what I thought I had been doing and was actually over brushing my teeth to the point of damaging (eroding away) my gums on the top right side. Dr Su identified this before I had even taken the seat in the dental chair and because my teeth were so clean said that I didn't have too much need for a scale and clean this time I should book again in 6 - 12 months for that. So for a very small nominal fee she sent me on my way with advice to use a softer brush and be careful to brush more softly preferably with an electric toothbrush. (And sensodyne as an extra option to add some barrier on my exposed roots) Really excellent advice that impressed me so much I was compelled to write her this positive review. Highly recommend!

It dawned on me that my attitude to going to the dentist has changed a lot throughout my 20’s and I don’t think it’s a coincidence it’s been since seeing Dr. Su. My experience at Lygon Family Dental has been wonderful. I’m always greeted by a friendly team, I’m made to feel comfortable and I pay extremely reasonable prices. The first time I visited I was half way through a root canal which I had waited three years to finish - I was at another dentist back then and it was anxiety inducing and expensive. I went to Lygon Family Dental because I thought I was still on family insurance and was about to head abroad for two years. Thank god I did. Dr. Su looked after me. She finished the procedure and gave me the knowledge I needed to look after my teeth following it. Since returning to Australia, I try and go every 6 months so I am on-top of everything. I also get my teeth whitened on occasion. She’s a dentist I trust. I pay reasonable prices, I know my teeth are ok and what to expect in the future. Honestly, I look forward to visiting the dentist these days and having a nice smile.

Fantastic experience: First time in, and I have always had a fear of dentists my entire life. But I must say Dr. Surabhi gave me plenty of breaks and her voice was very soothing and made the entire experience less of a nightmare. Highly recommend, especially if you have a fear of dentists. They’ll take great care of you.

Negative experience: I attended this clinic less than one year ago and got 2 fillings, I have to get them redone as they were not done correctly. This is not a good experience for someone that gets very anxious attending the dentist.

I always put off the dentist because its never been a good experience before as its been very expensive and the service has been awful - they have been unfriendly and made me feel ashamed but it has been a couple of years since I last went and I noticed some spots on my teeth so I thought I'd better go. Because of my previous experience, I decided to research the best dentist in my area and immediately it was clear everywhere that this place was the most highly rated and most popular. From the moment I walked in I realised why. I was greeted with a really warm and friendly hello from the dentist, when I said I had not been in a while, I was not shamed and felt very invited and in good hands. This dentist is extremely lovely and most of all very gentle which is what I was looking for considering I am nervous about dentist trips. She made sure that I was the most comfortable I could be, she used numbing creams and anesthetic (where as other dentists I have had to beg them for it) and she was constantly checking I was okay and taking breaks for my comfort. The result was the least uncomfortable teeth clean and fillings I have ever had. She did a great job. When giving me advice and instructions on teeth care, she was very caring and inspiring, not telling me off or making me feel bad. I was also shocked out how reasonably priced it all came too, especially when considering how great the service I had just received was. For once I can say I genuinely look forward to coming in for my bi-annual check up and clean at this dentist and will be starting to do so from now on.

Fantastic experience: I was impressed with this clinic for my yearly check. The receptionist went the extra mile to call me back when I was having phone issues so I could arrange my appointment, and I was offered a next-day slot! I'm not sure if the special $139 check + clean + fluoride treatment is permanently offered but it filled in the 2year gap between public dental checks perfectly. In only half an hour (after filling form), I got a comprehensive review of my habits, history, thorough explanations for all my questions, and of course highly professional service. Excellent chairside manner from all involved! Highly recommend this clinic :D

Negative experience: Went in for a wisdom tooth extraction, walked out with the tooth still in my mouth and in twice as much pain as when I arrived. No x-ray was taken before the extraction, she just referenced a 3 year old x-ray. The gum was removed from round the tooth and then she tried to lift the tooth out. The pain was excruciating as there wasn't enough anaesthetic used. I was not prescribed any pain relief after then procedures even though my tooth had been partially lifted out and there were lesions on my gum. I was in agony for a week before getting into another dentist who successfully removed the tooth pain free. When requesting a copy of my old x-ray to pass on to another dentist, I was sent a photo of my x-ray taken by a phone. This picture take with a phone was not clear enough for any other dentist to use. If the dentist had taken a new x-ray they would have realised the size of the cavity, that there was an exposed nerve and there was also an large abscess. I was also charge for a clean that took less then 5 minutes.There are still stains that are very visible on my 4 bottom front teeth.

Honestly, I look forward to going to see her, and I am someone who usually finds the dentist stressful, but Su makes the experience as pleasant as it could possibly be.
