Coolangatta Dental Group - Runaway Bay

Negative experience: I had a dental cleaning and check-up that was, unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. For $200, I received a rushed 5-minute check-up and a 10-minute cleaning, which felt incredibly brief for the cost. To make matters worse, I wasn't even able to rinse my mouth after the cleaning; I had to clear my own saliva using the suction tool. On top of that, I was charged $80 for two X-rays taken with surprisingly old equipment. While I appreciate that I received an $80 refund for the X-rays after complaining, I still feel ripped off, and the overall service left me feeling that I didn't get the value or thoroughness I expected.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mamatha at Runawaybay has been absolutely wonderful with my three children and me. From the moment we walked into the clinic, we felt welcomed and at ease. She is patient, gentle, and explains everything clearly, which made a huge difference for my kids, especially the younger ones who were a bit nervous. Her care is thorough and professional, yet kind and personal. It’s rare to find a dentist who genuinely takes time with each patient, and you can tell she truly cares about our long-term dental health. Highly recommend Dr. Mamatha to any families looking for a trustworthy, caring dentist. We’re grateful to have found her!

Fantastic experience: The team at Runaway Bay have made a huge difference for me in treating my (very sensitive) teeth, especially as I've had extremely crowded teeth since childhood. They've guided and cared for me throughout the Invisalign process and the difference in my teeth and smile is incredible. It has been six months and my teeth are no longer crooked, overlapping and sharp. I don't get migraines or ulcers anymore. And I am so grateful. If you're wondering whether aligners is worth it, the answer is yes. 200% yes. Thank you so so much Mamatha, Tanya and team ❤️ you're all amazing.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Mamatha and her assistant Tania for over 15years. They are amazing to say the least. Nothing is too much trouble. I have an absolute phobia about going to the dentist from a bad experience in my early childhood years and in fact am a real sook They totally understand and at all times throughout the years have taken measures to ensure I am as comfortable as possible. I can honestly say my next visit I will certainly be alot more calm and relaxed and me even saying that is a true miracle on its own. Fantastic experience: Has to be equal to any dentist I have been toad at 74 that is quiet a few. Exctracted a tooth stump yesterday which had been left by my previous dentist 2 years ago as it was too hard to get out. All done in no time, injection worst of pain, all good today. After finding this practice through my wife, I made an appointment and when they knew that I had this problem the dentist Mamatha and her assistant Tania were very caring and made me feel comfortable. Fantastic experience: I have been going to this practice for a few years now, and for someone who like many others was not a great fan of visiting the dentist, I had no choice but to make an appointment to have some dental work done. Both Mamatha the dentist and Tania her assistant and receptionist have always made me feel comfortable and at ease and they are both very caring and friendly. I had 2 extractions done last week, and I admit I was not looking forward to it at all, as it was my first time to have this done in a chair. But it was quick, and not at all as bad as I thought. Mamatha is very professional, did a great job and both her and Tania made me feel at ease once again. I highly recommend this practice and I will continue to go there for any future dental work that is needed.

Fantastic experience: For more than 10 years I have been taking my mother to Tamb Mtn and then Runaway Bay practice. Mamatha is the most caring and professional dentist that either of us have ever been associated with. All of the staff are so efficient and kind. Caring for the individual is not a slogan for this practice - they care from the heart and genuinly show it. Mamatha has such a warm caring manner and you know your dental hygiene is in the best of hands. Can only highly recommend this practice and all of its wonderful staff.
