Fantastic experience: First time visit/referral to Wide Bay Central Dental (WBCD) to see periodontist Dr Alan Zhu. The customer service provided by Kirby at reception was excellent. Kirby provided a very person centric delivery of customer skills which is highly commendable. Dr Zhu and his dental assistant were outstanding throughout the course of my periodontal procedures over the 2 days. It was the little things they did that made my experience most enjoyable. I was highly impressed with Dr Zhu's dental assistant. The dental assistant was very personable & very skilled in her role as she made my time in the chair most comfortable. Dr Zhu was excellent. He was very thorough, customer focused & articulate. He provided me with some great information for post dental care and answered all of my queries. I would highly recommend Dr Zhu and the team at WBCD for any periodontal work required in the Wide Bay region.

Fantastic experience: Visited here for the first time, receptionist Kirby is very courteous. Both the assistant nurse and dentist Dr Chris were exceptional, very gentle and listened to my concerns. I endeavour to make it a regular 6 monthly visit. Due to my mouth being always dry from autoimmune conditions. I also believe Dr Chris is referring me to a specialist that they are genuinely caring for my teeth and gums condition could be deteriorating and affect my health. Thank you Lynette

Fantastic experience: I am not one for posting regular reviews but this one I am very happy to share my experience. I suffer with gag reflex and related anxiety associated with this. My past experience with other dentists has often been stressful due to their lack of understanding and/or patience with this issue. I have now had two visits with Dr Chi (Siqi) and she has been extremely patient and supportive on both occasions. She has constantly checked with me, if I was ok, did I need to stop for a sec etc. This has made my dental visits so much more relaxing and has eased my anxiety. I cannot recommend Dr Chi highty enough, especially if you are nervous, suffer from anxiety or gag reflex like myself. I think she would also be a brilliant child dentist because she is so gentle, patient, supportive and understanding. Thank you Dr Chi for being so patient and PLEASE do not leave the bay .

Fantastic experience: It’s so very refreshing to have complicated dental issues and be treated by a practitioner that is excellent in his field but still has 100% consideration for a patient’s circumstances. I’m so glad that Dr Ash was the specialist that I was referred to.

She helped me through the Medicare billing process @ IMed & quickly prioritised my need for an appointment. Jake was courteous & efficient on my visit & guided me through the medical information required by the surgery. I found Tiago, friendly & knowledgeable & easy to relate to. He explained in great detail what was occurring with my troublesome tooth. I am now well informed to take the next step. Thankyou all.

Fantastic experience: I’m very nervous going to the dentist but both Dr Ash and his assistant (the lovely blonde lady) put me at ease. It was the receptionist who told me I had a tooth removed, I didn’t realise so the numbing must have been great.

Fantastic experience: Chris farrelly is Absolutely the best dentist I've been to and been 52 I've seen a few.he is very friendly and easy to talk to but most importantly he explains everything to you including best and worse case scenario with out making you feel like you have to spend a fortune would not hesitate to recommend this dental practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I took advantage of the $149 New patient special i saw advertised on Google, and am so glad I did. As it is so easy to do, I put off seeing the Dentist for far too long due to being scared. Dr. Chris was so understanding, and even offered me options to overcome my Dental fears. His Nurse Giulia was also amazing at helping relieve my nerves. Unfortunately due to it being so long between my Dentist visits, a deeper cleaning was needed. The next time I saw Dr. Chris for my deeper cleaning, I was scared, but need not have been as it was not as bad as I thought it would be. Amber his Nurse that day, was also so gentle and caring. The TLC call by Kirby to check in on me the next day was a really appreciated touch. If I had of known it would be such a positive experience at the Dentist, I may have not left it so long between visits. Now that I have found such a great Dentist, I know I won't leave it so long again.

Fantastic experience: ‍ Thank you Rose for your experienced calming strategies you used for my recent implant. I found them calming, given my nervous state. Such a beautiful nursing gift to give us patients, when in surgery. Dr Ash and Wide Bay Central Dental are so lucky to have you. What an asset they have in you Rose. All three of you were so tentative, prepared and experienced! Fantastic experience: I was sent to Wide Bay Central Dental via referral from another Dentist in the area. I was originally referred to see Dr. Ash for a full mouth rehab, however also ended up needing to see Dr. Tiago for some root canals. It was a relief to not have to drive to Gympie or the Sunshine Coast to access these services, but also be able to have then done in the one place, with Dentists who knew me, and my history without me needing to re-explain everything each time. The level of care, patience and understanding I experienced, was something I have never experienced before. Also the way they described what treatment I needed thoroughly, in a way I was able to understand, with out making me feel judged was something I had never experienced before. Dr. Ash, his Nurse Rose, Dr. Tiago, his nurse Amber and Kirby on the front desk, have always been friendly, helpful and always greet me with a smile. I have been so impressed with the practice that the rest of my family now sees the other General Dentists for their check up and cleans, to which they have been finding the same level of care and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: I was visiting Hervey Bay and went here for some dental work. I was very nervous as over the years I have had some bad experiences at other dental clinics. From the beginning of the experience here to the end I was treated well. The girl at the front desk was welcoming and absolutely lovely. I think her name was Kirby. I don't remember the names of the other staff there, other than Amber. She also was lovely. Both Amber and Kirby had very good people skills to deal with me in such a kind manner. I recommend this dental clinic if you have a fear of dentisits.

Fantastic experience: Recently I had a toothache and called to book an appointment. Kirby was amazing and fitted me in that day. Dr. Chi was so gentle and caring, and her dental assistant Amber's humour made the experience a positive one. I never thought that I would laugh so much in a Dental chair, but I did. My tooth was fixed and has not been an issue since. I am so glad I called Wide Bay and that I saw Dr. Chi and Amber.

I can not remember his name the dental specialist who treat me, and all the staff specially Dr. Ash who check my treatment week after are all lovely people to dealt with. Fantastic experience: A big thank you to Jake, Dr. Luiz & Dr Sarah for the prompt treatment & emergency referral to Maxillo Facial Surgeon Dr. Jim McGown in the Sunny Coast for a very complex & painful tooth abscess. Two days later all the issues & excruciating pain resolved! Can most definitely recommend Wide Bay Dental for good aftercare service :)

I came across wide bay central dental offering $149 consult, dental clean and x rays if required for new clients so I phoned and booked. Fantastic experience: Having my holiday interrupted by severe tooth pain, I was very pleased to be seen almost immediately by Dr Luis. His care and concern was amazing and organised a follow up scan and appointment with Dr Tiago the periodontist. After successfully treating an infected nerve under a crown,he explained to me post procedure affects and showed amazing care and concern. The follow up phone calls from staff were also appreciated. Fantastic experience: Dr Sarah is amazing. She is straight to the point and spoke to me in terms that I could clearly understand. I’m glad I got recommended to her by everyone at work. Admin staff are bubbly and friendly. I’m glad I made the switch!

Negative experience: Would never go back to this dentist after my son being quoted $2,240 on paper for a root cannel for both visits and then being Charged half of that again. This was not also for the crown which was quoted $1,750 for. This procedure was done last year. He ended up travelling to Brisbane for his crown which cost him $800

Fantastic experience: Wide bay central dental is a lovely dentist with amazing staff. Everyone was so friendly. As much as i hate dentists the staff made this experience some what enjoyable. Would 110% recommend :)

I've been in the bay for more than thirty years and trying different dental place is not new to me. The Comprehensive clean experience I had was EXCEPTIONAL, something I never had from other dentist and dental hygienist before. I then made an appointment for other dental issues. I will highly recommend this place. The staff are both friendly and professional. A special thanks goes to Dr Ash who replaced most of my old dental crowns to new ones. Fantastic experience: Really lovely and professional team :) Didn't judge my excessive carbonated beverage consumption too harshly, even though my enamel may disagree.

Negative experience: I came to this dentist for help after being traumatised by multiple other dentist, the dentist I saw who I will not name told me I need a psychiatric assessment before he would consider going ahead. I was already an absolute mess and that tipped me over the edge. Absolutely horrible experience and even charged me after the appointment. There were no scans that were included in the price, no treatment! Nothing! But I was still charged to be told I need a psychiatrist. Fortunately I found a good dentist who listened and i have just had my all on 4 implant surgery with NO psychiatric assessment as their "standard practise". Horrified by this experience and would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: It has been 6 years since I went to the dentist and this time I had a few problems with teeth worn out and a cavity which needed to be filled. I was lucky to get a quick appointment and my problems fixed in 2 days. Very happy with the service and quality of work. Thank you.
