Fantastic experience: Wonderful Dentist. Having been just once to the Dentist in the past 20 years I was very apprehensive about going to have my teeth checked out, particularly at my advanced age.. After some research I decided to book at Allied Dental Southern River. This has turned out to be the best decision I could have made. Dr Ranudi and Shelby have been amazing. They make you feel so relaxed and everything is done with the upmost care and understanding. They have given me a lot of confidence during my dental treatment. Everything is explained and I am kept in the loop throughout the sessions. My apprehension has also gone and the time in the chair seems to go so quick. Dr Ranudi has been fantastic. Dr Mel, the Oral Hygienist, was also great. The whole clinic is bright and relaxing and everyone is so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Allied Dental Southern River.

Negative experience: It was our first time booking a check-up with Dr. Kwok. She guided us to do all scans and photographs, including 3D x-ray, without explaining the necessity. A 3D X-ray is not a normal photograph, and we should have been advised before proceeding. We ended up paying over $300 for these photos, even after insurance coverage. Dr Kwok said she will get back to us for a quote for the following treatment. Unfortunately, we did not hear from her after such a “thorough checkup”.

Fantastic experience: After 35yrs of not going to a dentist due to a bad experience I’ve never felt as comfortable as I did at allied , ended up having a wisdom tooth removed and was very comfortable throughout.

Fantastic experience: It was a very comfortable procedure. I am usually very nervous when it comes to dental appointments but this visit was different. Dr Melanie was very professional in the way she treated me for my dental procedure. I highly recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: I have been looking for a new clinic to attend regularly as I haven’t had a consistent oral health professional previously. I was booked in for a full checkup, x-rays, and scale and clean with Oral Health Therapist Kobi, and I had a very good experience. The clinic itself is very clean and welcoming with friendly staff. Kobi was very thorough and detailed when discussing and diagnosing my x-rays. She was also very gentle when cleaning my teeth and would always check in to see how I was going. I felt very comfortable throughout my appointment and I am glad that I have found someone who I am confident in returning to for my regular checkup and cleans.

Fantastic experience: Super thrilled with the care I am getting here. I have been to other dentists, 3 others since 2021 and my last experience in Sep 2023 left me frustrated I refused to go back, again reinforcing my fear and anxiety..... until Kobi and Rachel and the team at Allied. I only went through having painful gums and turns out things are pretty ominous. Given my last visit to the previous place was 16 months prior, 7 visits in 2023 to that place I have just worked out, I need a bit of deep planing and have gum disease that Allied are working hard to rectify. I won't deny I probably don't care as well for my teeth as I should with having sensory issues with flossing, but still, to be this advanced in that short of a period makes me wonder what the previous clinic missed (who since there, I cant chew like I used to). I feel way more comfortable with Kobi and Rachel and turned up today, NO panic or fear whatsoever (my third visit in 2.5 weeks) so that in itself is a huge improvement and achievement for ME. The team are patient, caring, funny as heck and help you relax. They generally care and check, re-check and check again their work. I would absolutely highly recommend them and if they move, I will find them and go there (not like stalking lol but I will find them). I absolutely will tell everyone I can about this place as dentists like this are hard to find. FINALLY I am starting to feel okay about a dentist visit.

Fantastic experience: Full disclosure, I have a fear of visiting a dentist but this dental surgery restored my faith in dentists. I needed an emergency appointment on a Saturday. One phone call and I was in the chair that afternoon. Receptionist went above and beyond to accommodate me. From the moment I entered I felt at ease. Selina, the dentist, explained thoroughly everything she was going to do and the expected timeline. I had a temporary crown fitted and 2 weeks later the permanent. Kudos to the staff at Southern River for helping put me at ease and of course the great job you did. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Best dentist EVER! I felt like I was walking into a spa. The space is so aesthetically pleasing and calming, super clean and beautiful. Dr. Rachel saw me and she has a very calm nature and made me feel very relaxed. She is also extremely gentle and emphatic. I had to have an anaesthesia (needle ) to numb the area and I honestly didn’t feel pain at all, it was more of the thought that lead to the discomfort I felt. She gave me a stress ball to squeeze since I didn’t bring my hubby to hold. Throughout the filling treatment that I had to undergo, she kept reassuring me and apologising if i was in any discomfort. The whole treatment was so relaxing. And there’s a tv on the ceiling to distract me. Overall- WOW! Honestly, I had an amazing experience. Coming from a dentist phobic patient, I have to say that I am very impressed and will be bringing my hubby and kids here from now on. Thank you very much Stacey (very polite receptionist) Dr Rachel and Dr Melanie for a fantastic experience.

Fantastic experience: I have been to see both Selina and Rachel, they have lots of patience as well as amazing dentistry skills. My 1st visit was only a couple of weeks ago because I had a revisit of toothache, bit of background info here is that I had not been to a dentist for many many years due to my fear of them. At my 1st visit Selina advised that I needed to have an extraction of at least one tooth. My response was no way not today I am not ready for that. Selina proceeded to spend an hour and half with me taking images and thorough tests. I could see how bad the decay was in my wisdom tooth and the molar next to it. ....no wonder I was in so much pain. When I left I said I would make an appointment to have the extraction done, with no intention of doing so....Fast forward to last week and the pain was unbearable they asked me to go in that same day, and if I needed to they could give me laughing gas or send me to sleep (which I didn't use !). Last Friday I succumbed to the pain and went in to see Rachel for not one extraction but two. I was so nervous I was shaking and almost vomiting, but Rachel and her wonderful assistant put me at ease and said I could listen to my music with my wireless headphones and I watched the TV scree on the ceiling as I lay there. I DID NOT FEEL A THING throughout the whole procedure, they numbed my gums before they gave the local needles, I listened to one song and then my tooth was being shown to me, it was out. The next one came out as quickly and painlessly.....I asked is that it !!!!!!!!!. They followed up with a call on sat to see how I was going and to advise to contact them anytime if I have any questions. I will now be regular patient to this Dentist and I cannot recommend them enough, they are amazing ! Thanks you ladies and to all of the practise for your care, patience and understanding with me and NOW I will be looking forward to coming to the Dentist and will not put any appointment or procedure off :)

Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending this practice for roughly two months. I decided to make my smile a priority and decided to try allied dental. Now this place is by far the best dental practice I’ve ever been to. All the staff are super friendly and extremely professional. If you’re looking for a place to get your teeth right but also make you feel welcomed and comfortable I highly recommend allied dental. I’m in the process of removing my wisdoms to then have Invisalign and these guys have made the process so easy and so comfortable for me so thank you allied dental. Appreciate you guys.

Negative experience: Really unhappy with this dentist and I believe they give warped advice… I took my son because he needed a checkup and clean, he ended up having to come back to get a couple of very wobbly teeth removed which is fine. I was then asked to come back so he could have a protective solution put on his adult molars they did some that day and wanted him to come back to finish the rest. So I made a 3rd appointment and we came back this time she asked my son if he wanted his mouth numbed this time and I questioned it and she said she needed to remove some more baby teeth I was blindsided and agreed I then watched her rip out 3 baby teeth that weren’t even wobbly yet. It felt really unnecessary as those teeth would come out naturally when the adult molars push them out. My fault for not saying no I guess but I just felt she would do what’s best and realised it seemed wrong after thinking about it. I was asked to book him another appointment to take out 2 more teeth.. I guess they want to drain the dental scheme money in any way they can… not happy and I won’t be returning.

Fantastic experience: I walked into this dental practice after a phone call with one of the dental assistants Gillian,who booked me in swiftly for a repair of a snapped tooth and a filling which had cracked and come out. I was seen by Dr Rachel, who performed a swift procedure on both of the presented issues. She did a wonderful job,making my tooth look like new again. I highly recommend Rachel and her assistant team. I will be returning in the future. I can't suggest a nicer practice and service. Great facilities, modern technology, fantastic customer service. Fantastic experience: AMAZING SERVICE They managed to squeeze me in on short notice and I found Reception and Dr Rachel couldn't have been more polite, professional and just plain nice to deal with. I've just had the most pain free tooth extraction (if there can be one?) that I've ever had! Didn't even feel the needle going in and her whole work ethic far outweighed anyone I've ever dealt with previously. Highly recommend if you're a bit squeamish about needles and dentist in general. The practice is immaculately clean and modern with an ample seating area. I'm with HBF and the practice uses the HICAPS system for instant claiming, to make paying the bill easy without having to chase up a rebate. I'll now be transferring my dental records over and this will be my dentist of choice going forward. Do yourself a favor and get registered with this dentistry, before they grow the client base and are unable to accept new clients!!!

Fantastic experience: I definitely enjoyed my dental check and cleaning session there. Rachel and the team are very caring, helpful and the tv on the roof is so nice to watch. Think kids will love fishies and forget about the dental check. Definitely my regular dental visit.

Fantastic experience: I visited Allied Dental Southern River few months ago for some dental works. Dr Chia is very gentle and knows her scope well. I was basically pain free throughout the whole treatment. Happy customer I was after the first visit! I then went back to Dr Chia knowing that her clinic offers Invisalign treatment. She spent time to discuss and outline the best treatment plan for me during the initial consult. Now I’m into my third week of braces life and I can already feel the changes! Very satisfying! Thank you Dr Chia for your professionalism.
