Fantastic experience: I’ve now seen Dr. Fataneh twice—most recently for a scale and clean plus a crown filling—and both times have been excellent. Her anaesthetic injections are completely pain-free, which I’ve never experienced before. She’s so patient and gentle, always checking if I’m okay or need a break. I truly feel at ease in her care. Even my partner, who has always avoided dentists due to bad past experiences, agreed to see her—and he was amazed. She did his root canal and it was pain-free. Negative experience: A note of caution: If you are going to choose to have veneers done, know that the software that shows what they will look like doesn't tell you how your smile will feel having extra volume & length added to your teeth and the way it will change how your top lip sits when you do smile. Regrettably I went ahead with the veneers process, without fully understanding what it entailed and that it was irreversible. Yes, I am the one to blame for proceeding, but I should have been asked the most important question “do you like the way your smile feels?” One would also have expected a brochure explaining the entire process. I had a smile I loved prior to veneerification. Now I don’t smile much anymore due to how unnatural it feels, which has led to depression & a desire to take a sledgehammer to my top teeth.

Fantastic experience: It has been a few months since I had veneers fitted by Dr. Lily, and I can wholeheartedly say it has been one of the best investments I’ve ever made in myself. I’ve spent most of my life feeling self-conscious about my smile and had been considering porcelain veneers for the past decade. The entire process took about three months from start to finish and included a 3D scan, temps, the final fitting of my porcelain veneers and a post procedure check up and fitting for a retainer. I love that my veneers were crafted specifically for me. Dr. Lily took great care to ensure my new teeth complemented my facial features and even enhanced my feminine appearance. I am so pleased with the end results. From the intricate detailing on each veneer to the perfect color, everything has come together beautifully. Positive experience: Update: The masseter botox completely changed the look of my face for the worse, and I now look 10 years older, gaunt and just weird. Despite changing my face so drastically, it surprisingly didn't really help with the grinding/chipping as I chipped two of the bonded teeth within the first week and needed to go back in to have them redone (which Dr. Taheri and staff were super sweet and accommodating about). The composite bonding on one tooth chipped AGAIN two weeks later once I returned to LA, and I need to now pay another dentist here to redo the bonding on that tooth. I'm now extremely self conscious and sad because of my weird facial structure so please keep that in mind if you are thinking about getting masseter botox for grinding! I really hope that my masseter muscles come back (I read that for some this did happen after 6 months and for others their faces were never fully restored). To also keep in mind that the "5-8 year" duration composite bonding is advised to last does vary, as mine chipped twice within the first week and again in the 3rd week, after repair. Dropped my review from 5 stars to 3, as the composite bonding did not do what I needed it to (it chipped 3x) and the botox ruined my facial structure. ----- I came into The Applecross Dentist as quite a few of my teeth had chipped following years of grinding and clenching. It had gotten to the point where I thought I'd need veneers, but I was delighted to learn in my consultation with Dr. Lily Taheri that tooth bonding along with zoom whitening would be a better option for me. I live in Los Angeles but was in Perth (where I'm from) for just a short amount of time, and Lily was able to fit me in for the treatment the very next business day due to my tight schedule. That weekend, I read a LOT about zoom whitening and sensitivity/pain (in some cases, for years) on reddit, and was anxious when I showed up for my appointment. Lily eased my fears by advising she would cover any parts of my teeth that might cause pain - she did such a great job of this that I had virtually NO pain either during treatment or in the hours/days after. A couple of days later, I went in for my bonding, and again experienced no pain or discomfort. Lily's bedside manner was fantastic, and she regularly asked me if I was doing okay. She's also an incredibly talented artist and crafted my new smile with ease and expertise. As advised by Dr. Taheri, I also had masseter botox injections as a preventative measure against future grinding and clenching, which she administered painlessly. I'm so looking forward to the relief I'll feel in a couple of weeks once this kicks in. Dr. Taheri is truly one of a kind. She's masterfully skilled at what she does, genuinely cares about her patients and their wellbeing, and extremely generous with her time. Her staff are wonderful as well. Thank you so much!!

Negative experience: Dental negligence by removing so much of my natural tooth to complete 20x porcelain veneers. Shaved my teeth down to little stumps. Porcelain veneers fell off 3x times on the bottom due to the fact so much of my natural tooth was removed so the veneers had no hope of bonding correctly and for a durable time, the work I had more inlign with crown prep than porcelain, now trying to fix the issue.

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank these ladies enough for their help in finding me an oral surgeon in just a few days to take out my painful wisdom teeth, they have been so kind, gentle, thoughtful and so much help. I will forever be grateful, and recommend them to all my friends. Also the place its self is absolutely stunning!

Fantastic experience: I had been wanting veneers for a long time but wanted to make sure I went to the right place where I felt comfortable and at ease. The Applecross Dentist was that place for me. The practice is beautiful, clean and inviting. The staff are friendly and also you can have a laugh with them and they make you feel totally relaxed, you know you are in good hands. My experience was painless and my results are stunning, I am constantly complemented on my teeth and smile. My veneers look so natural yet perfect, I couldn’t recommend highly enough! Fantastic experience: I am so happy I have found a dentist that I feel comfortable going to and know that I will be taken care of. Lily is knowledgeable, kind, caring and a perfectionist. I had veneers put in this week and I am so happy with how they turned out. They look and feel natural and I have already had several compliments on them. Fantastic experience: Had my veneers done with Lily Taheri 2-3 years ago now and was a seamless experience end to end. My teeth look amazing but perfectly natural which is what I wanted. I consulted with a number of dentist and noticed some popular ones in Perth produced veneers that look ok in pictures but in real life, they look overly fake, too opaque, thick, bubbly, the gum line looks obvious and they don’t mimic the anatomy of a natural tooth at all. It’s all in the details. With anything aesthetic, details make a world of difference. My advice to anyone would be to not compromise on something as prominent as your smile.
