Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with my experience of Helix dentistry. Very poorly managed. Will never recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism, empathy, care shown to me by Dr. Nathan Turton here at Helix. He was totally aware of what I had been through with a previous practice and the traumatic treatment I had been through. He then carefully navigated the best solution communicating each thing he was doing every step of the way. The staff are all extremely friendly & helpful. I travel one hour to get there and will keep going back for this fabulous service from Dr. Nathan Turton. I cannot thank you enough for helping me and restoring my faith that there are dentists out there that truly care. Forever grateful Highly recommend Helix

Negative experience: Over the past few years, I’ve had a pretty frustrating experience with this clinic. I originally started doing myotherapy there for about a year. It helped a little, but it wasn’t really addressing the main issue I was dealing with. Despite that, I kept being pressured to buy this $800 splint they said would fix everything. I eventually gave in, but it didn’t help at all. Later on, I saw a sleep-focused dentist they work with in Erina. He told me the splint was actually useless for my condition, meaning I’d been misdiagnosed from the start. He suggested I do a sleep study and said the wait would be around two months. That sounded reasonable—until months went by and I hadn’t heard anything. I followed up, only to find out he’d gone overseas and never told me. What’s worse is that he could’ve just referred me to a proper sleep apnea specialist from the start, but instead, he had me wait—apparently because he was trying to start his own sleep testing business. So not only was I misdiagnosed and sold something I didn’t need, but my care was delayed for months for no good reason. When I tried to move forward, the clinic told me I’d need to see another dentist and start over with another consultation—even though I’d already done all that with the previous guy. I told them I wasn’t going through the whole process again. Overall, I feel completely let down. I was misdiagnosed, pushed into spending money unnecessarily, given false timelines, and kept in the dark while people made business decisions behind the scenes. It’s been a massive waste of time and energy, and it’s really disappointing to be treated this way. I went to a other dentist and have been immediately referred to a facial surgeon and I'm honestly in awe that Helix did not once consider this an option as I have been dealing with horrific migraines for several years. I was hesitant to move clinics since I was in the middle of a diagnosis but I'm so glad I did as Helix has proven to be incapable and unreliable. I wouldn't recommend anyone coming to this clinic, better to find another dentist who won't pressure you into upselling whatever bullshit they think will earn them money. The dentists are useless. The only redeeming quality about this place are the receptionists who are kind and understanding.

Negative experience: Ridiculous pricing, quoted $380.00 for a zoom consult!! Not even to look in my child's mouth, just for a ZOOM CONSULT. Keep looking, there are far better places out there.

Fantastic experience: Such a nice experience today. I’m quite an anxious patient, but the friendly staff made me feel right at ease as soon as I walked in the door. They were flexible with fitting me in, their prices were fair, and the dentist explained everything very clearly. I’d highly recommend this dentist and would gladly go back here again.

Negative experience: Queried the cost of myomunchee's, of which we purchased two. I expected them to be the cost on the myomunchee website or similar ($94 each). The cost was significantly more at $220 each. This cost was sneakily attached to our bill without discussion and it wasn't until they emailed our receipt that I learned how much we'd been ripped off. I emailed back to query and I was ignored. I was planning on bringing my children back for all of their treatments, with a follow up recommended by the practitioner, however no follow up appointment was booked and voicemails were not returned. Disappointed in this clinic as it didn't meet my expectations or live up to its reputation.

Negative experience: Contacted this dentist multiple times after emailing a complaint through about being charged a fee for a service that was not completed and not agreed to on my son. No response was returned. Extremely disappointing service as I have recommended them to family and friends for years.

Fantastic experience: I can not recommend Helix Dental enough! I spent 3 years getting Invisalign/braces treatment to correct my bite and straighten my teeth. After investing so much time and effort into my treatment, I went to see Matt and Tom at Helix to seek their advice regarding composite bonding to do the finishing touches 'so to speak'. Fast forward 4 weeks later - Tom has just finished my composite bonding today and I couldn't be happier. The level of perfectionism that he had was outstanding and I really do feel like I got what I paid for. If you're considering composite bonding, I would say that based on my experience with Helix Dental, it's 100% worthwhile making the investment and getting the work done by Matt or Tom as the finished product will exceed your expectations. Thank you Tom and Matt. You guys were awesome the whole way through and I am so glad that I trusted you with the finishing touches on my teeth. I'm convinced no one else could have done a better job! Fantastic experience: My experience with Matt and Helix dental has been incredible. Matt has completely changed my teeth through my Invisalign journey and I’m now confidant in my smile. I can’t recommend Helix Dental enough. If you’re after a quality and thorough process with the professionalism to match then look no further. 10/10

Negative experience: Was very happy with Helix upon my son’s first visit and the out of pocket charge was reasonable (around $50). Just six months later, he visited for a routine checkup taking a maximum of 20 mins and we were charged $174.60 out of pocket ($301 before health fund benefit). Considering there were no X-rays this time, as had been done last and less was done, we were shocked at the charge. Have contacted management but no response was received. Just a heads up for others considering using this practice.

Fantastic experience: I’ve just had my first check up with the team at Helix and I can’t praise them enough. All the staff were lovely and Krystal was extremely informative. I appreciate the level of detail she went into about what she was doing and the reasons why. Love the holistic approach. Would highly recommend the team at Helix to anyone looking for a fresh approach to dental care.

The staff are extremely friendly and super helpful. The vibe in the clinic is super calming. Your appointment is also very informative and thorough. Negative experience: My daughter visited and needed a filling but we had to to wait over 6 months for a appointment, when we attended the dentist informed us that we would need to see someone else as she would need to be put under. The dentist and everyone else could tell my daughter was terrified as she was crying but continued on telling her how painful it will be. As a dentist that heavily markets at this age I was shocked, my daughter had to see a different dentist to get this referral as they never sent it and made it hard to get it. His bed side manner was horrible, I felt like I was holding him up and a huge inconvenience even though he was running over 1.5 hours late. They seem to try and hide the fact they got taken to court over not having qualified dentists do dental work

Negative experience: When I first came I was impressed with everything but to experience this horrible thing until my crown cap fell out other day which not even old definitely under 5 years old. Had so many times coming here and telling this dentist that crown cap is very sensitive and no Crown cap should fall out in first place, was gonna come back but they want to charge me for the damaged they done. I went elsewhere to get it fix, unfortunately I’m left with crown made fall out again due to this place grind my actual tooth down too low and their no retention for the crown to grip on. Please get second opinion, you don’t want to end up like my situation. Be very vary

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant dentistry practice. I had terrible dental anxiety and hadn’t seen a dentist for 6 years prior to seeing Bettina and her gorgeous hygienists. They did what they could to ease my pain and were so gentle, kind and reassuring that I had no issues going back a second time (big deal for me) not to mention the wholistic approach. I’m very grateful. I had a filling in one of my front teeth and you cannot even tell! Amazing work!

I can’t recommend Jenna enough and my kids look forward to their visits just to see her. My teeth have never been in better health thanks to both Jenna and Steven. Negative experience: Staff very friendly place very professional. I had a clean done. No where near as thorough as I'm used to. I mentioned this to clinician where I'm used to all teeth being attended to specically with all instruments used for a clean. My response was because teeth are so clean. I thought the idea of a clean is to prevent build up not wait until it appears.

Fantastic experience: Love the holistic approach used for my 6 year old daughter here, we are using the myobrace to prevent the need for braces in the future by working on orofacial development now. So informative, I was so we'll educated and so glad to find a holistic approach, rather than traditional dentistry.

Fantastic experience: I had such a severe case of periodontitis my teeth were basically flailing in the wind. One time I sneezed and one fell out from the force of my sneeze. My friends and family couldn't be around me because of the smell. I'm so thankful for luminous dentistry for being so kind, caring and generous to me. They have restored my smile to a perfect state and my friends and family finally hang out with me again and are always giving me compliments on my smile.

Fantastic experience: Love these guys! Once I fell off our roof almost face first onto a tree stump, you can imagine the mess they had to clean up, but honestly they did such a good job that my mouth looks completely normal. Had to have a fair few visits and they are all really lovely.

Negative experience: I recommended this dentist to my partner and it’s the worst thing I ever did. When I attended the original dentist was brilliant, but unfortunately he has left and his replacement is terrible. Similar to another comment on here his tooth was not anaesthetised properly when needing crowns, but sadly that wasn’t the worst thing. We paid around $10,000 for teeth to be capped and top and bottom dentures. The dentures are so poorly made and so thick he can’t even keep them in his mouth. After going to a real denture clinic we discovered that these dentures are so bad that they can’t even be modified so we have to pay for new ones. We also discovered that we aren’t the first ones this has happened to. Avoid them like the plague - we won’t ever recommend or return. If I could rate this as no stars I would. I’m so disappointed as my first few visits with them with their original dentist was fantastic.

Negative experience: Unfortunately my experience here was horrendous. I had a chipped filling and as I had recently moved to the area chose this dentist as they were local and there were a number of good reviews (but also 1 bad review). At the initial consultation I was impressed .. the surgery and staff were lovely and the teeth clean was excellent. Root canal therapy and crown were scheduled for subsequent appointments. However the following appointment to commence root canal was horrible. The painful affected bottom tooth was not anaesthetised properly despite alerting the dentist who administered 2 further injections (3 in total). I let the dentist know only my upper cheek and lip was numb and the tooth was still extremely painful. I was advised this was because there was a bad infection. When drilling started I nearly hit the ceiling and had to endure the procedure in incredible pain. Against my better judgement I returned for the second follow up root canal appointment and informed the dentist if my tooth could not be numbed entirely I couldn't go through with another painful procedure. 2 needles later (administered in the same spot as the previous appointment) only my entire upper cheek, face and eye were completely numb (I couldn't close my left eye at all) but no numbness in teeth or gum. I had never experienced this before at other dental surgeries. The dentist had to attend to another patient and after some time the nurse returned and informed me he wouldn't be long. I advised the nurse that my mouth was not numb. After another long period the nurse returned and informed me there was a bit of an emergency with a standard procedure but the dentist shouldn't be much longer. It had now been 1 and a half hours from when I had arrived for my appointment. I decided to leave and I let the dentist know on my way out that the anaesthetic was not administered in the right location and was ineffective for completing the root canal and I would need to go to another dentist to complete the work. I drove home in great difficulty as I could not blink with one eye at all which was blurry. I will not be going back to this dentist.

For many years Due to unpleasant experiences with previous dentist I avoided and ignored issues, after walking into luminous dentistry in a very anxious state I was put at ease very quickly by the pleasant staff, After having a treatment plan organized by Dr. Steven I returned to undertake the work, Dr. Steven was more then accommodating to work to my budget and tackle the issues one by one. Can not fault the service or professionalism of luminous dentistry. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I used to have an immense fear of going to the Dentist and avoided it at all costs. After not having been to a one in 6 years, I discovered Luminous a couple of years ago. From the second you walk in the door you are met with the beautifully designed and almost spa-like feel of the surgery and the friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff who help you sit back and relax in one of their spacious and naturally-lit rooms. Don’t like the sound of the tools? That’s not a worry here as each of the rooms has a smart tv on the ceiling equipped with Netflix so you can catch up on your favourite shows or even watch a movie. Each Dentist I’ve had there has been welcoming, open and honest, ensuring that I know I am in nothing but the best, very qualified hands. They chat to you and share their knowledge and experience so that you are well-informed about whatever procedures you may need. Luminous is the non-dentisty Dentist that I had always dreamed of, and I am so grateful to have stumbled across them. As I now look forward to my 6-monthly appointments, I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone!

Fantastic experience: I was recommended here from a friend, I was talking to her about getting a second opinion on my daughters hole in her molar after being told she will need to be admitted to hospital and put to sleep for her procedure and was gana cost us a lot of money. Jess was amazing with my daughter and explained lots to us about fixing it up and helping her teeth with some vitamins so they can hopefully get stronger in time. She filled it straight away with no needles or any pain and saved us lots of stress and money. Thankyou
