Primary Dental Norwood

Fantastic experience: I came to Primary Dental in Norwood for the first time yesterday due to emergency. The clinic is inside Norwood Medical Center on the Parade. I had received a best service and treatment forever. I had two tooth extractions and Dr Amr Bassiouny did the treatment for me. He is very gentle and had a good hand. I did not feel anything after extraction, even when the local anaesthetic wore off. Nurse and reception there were also very nice. Thank you very much Dr Bassiouny and the team. I will come back for regular check up and treatment plan.

Fantastic experience: Dr KyuHee Kim was extremely knowledgeable and has demonstrated her professionalism when she took care of my baby girl's cavity. My baby girl has needle anxiety and has always been afraid of visiting the dentist. Dr. Kyu calmed her down with plush toys and gave her cute stickers 10/10 would recommend Dr KyuHee Kim to anyone who is seeking dental treatment or check-up.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kyuhee Kim was one of the nicest dentists I’ve ever been to. I have dental anxiety and was scared of the whole process, which led me to procrastinate my treatments. However, Dr. Kim was extremely patient and gentle with me. I was scared of needles, but I barely felt anything. The entire process was smooth and even quite enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kim for any dental procedures

Negative experience: I booked Dr. Kyu for wisdom tooth infection and toothache. The consultation of this appointment was brief. She did not ask many questions regarding my situation. I think I was expected to just "trust the process". Dr Kyu rushed the appointment straight to taking an x-ray and had no consideration for the pain caused by jamming the x-ray film into the floor of my mouth. When I was not able to close my mouth completely (because the film was not positioned right) she proceeded to push it down deeper into my tongue and swollen area- it felt like a knife cutting through my mouth. She was visibly frustrated with me when I sat up to breathe and explain that she was being rough. I've had many dental x-rays and have never, ever had an experience as stressful as this. On the upside, Primary Dental Norwood offers Afterpay. Dr Kyu, please work on being gentle with your patients. I cannot stress enough that I have never, ever panicked like that at the dentist before. I will not be booking here again.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental check up and clean with Dr Kyuhee Kim and I cannot recommend her enough! She was professional and friendly throughout the appointment. Made the whole check-up and clean comfortable and stress-free. She was also very thorough with her explanations. I will come back to see her again, and will definitely recommend her to my family and friends.

Negative experience: Very rude lady on the reception. I was a prospect customer but was put off by the way the lady on reception spoke to me - quite condescending Belinda. Please do better at least with first time patients to your clinic.

Fantastic experience: I don’t have the words to express my gratitude for Belinda and Dr Kyu Hee who fit me in for a consult at a time I was experiencing extreme tooth pain. Dr Kyu Hee was kind, attentive and patient with me, and it meant so much to have a dentist take the time to explain what was going on and my options, without feeling like I was wasting their time. Particularly when I was experiencing such pain, it was amazing to not be rushed in and out of a consult, but to have someone actually care. Patient care 10/10. Will definitely be back. Thank you again.

Negative experience: Hard to find words to describe the experience, stay well away, I had two visit's to fix a really simple issue (filling) and ended up having to walk out as they did not seem to know what to do after paying $426 for one filling that was not completed correctly or in the correct area of the tooth. I still have the issue I went there to fix.

Negative experience: They promised to send Xray in email for last two days but admin staff is very unprofessional. It takes less than 5 minutes to send email. Doctor Chan mentioned that he is sending referral to surgen and xray right away. It has been 2 days and yet not sent.

Fantastic experience: Dentist Chen asked me why I went to the dental clinic and listened to me, which made me feel valued, and based on his professional judgment to help me develop a treatment plan and price that I can accept, and taught me tips on protecting eroded teeth. I am very satisfied with the professional service attitude in the dental practice.

Price was completely reasonable and fair for weekend emergency work and the dentists were extremely professional and friendly. For something that could be a traumatic experience it turned out to be a pain free and stress free experience for me. Would definitely recommend and i will be going back.

Fantastic experience: I am new to Adelaide. I recently broke two front teeth. So to Google I went! We live in Norwood and wanted a local dentist. I found Primary Dental Norwood, and decided that Dr Michelle Lum might be the right dentist for me. I was able to secure an early Appt with Dr Lum. Well, what a find? 1.5 hrs in her chair and my teeth have been fixed to perfection. And with such understanding re my fear of dentists, highly sensitive teeth, and anxiety re the various needles and drills. Dr Lum is now MY dentist; and I have now booked an appt for my husband. Excellent dentist, excellent dental care, and friendly helpful receptionist.

Fantastic experience: Dr Prab Kaur is just fantastic! I highly recommend seeing her for all your dental needs. She is very knowledgeable and so polite and caring. Kate, the dental nurse was fantastic as well!  Overall 10/10!!!

I'm glad I was referred to him by another trusted doctor. The receptionist (sorry forgot her name) is a wonderful lady, supportive with good customer service and has a nice sense of humour. Finally, they have plenty of easy and free parking.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time at this dentist and the staff all made me feel very comfortable, and we’re very welcoming. All procedures were done efficiently and painlessly and Ryan explained what he was doing and why, which helped my understanding and helped me feel comfortable. Will be going back!

Fantastic experience: A wonderful, affordable dentist clinic, we have been coming here for years. Dr. Prab is a fantastic clinician, who is incredibly competent, skilled and kind to her patients. She is great for children and always makes them feel comfortable at the dentist. Belinda is a great receptionist/admin who is friendly and supportive of patients. Bonus is that primary do 25% off for emergency services personnel.

She was so so good in handling my nervousness and same time demonstrated a skillful steady hands in performing her task. Very comfortable and delighted by her job done on my terrible state of declining gum and quick build up of tar tar. Fantastic experience: Primary Dental Norwood is my first private treatment as I have always been going to Government clinics throughout my life, and I can honestly say that my time with this firm has been beneficial, smooth, and welcoming. I have received excelllent hospitality and compassion - especially from the manager, Fatim and Doctor Bassiouny. And they have an excellent set of support staff members, like Tina, always going above and beyond for the patient. Overall, I definitely hope to make use of their clinic for as long as I live in Adelaide and would and did recommend them to my family and friends.

Fantastic experience: My mum had a lower and upper denture at Primary Dental Norwood last month with DR AMR. She totally is very happy with her denture. DR AMR is very gentle and quick. We will be regular patients at Primary Norwood for check up and dental treatment. Highly recommendation.

Negative experience: Went there on a Saturday afternoon for a dental check and clean. This is not usually my dentist, but it was a convenient closer location for this kind of appointment as I have a newborn baby at home and I like to not miss my 6 monthly cleans. In under 45 minutes it was all done in what looked like not a very up to date setup, dark, gloomy, dirty . It was the most painful dental clean I ever had, she didn’t use dental floss as part of the process either, I didn’t get the usual gift pack I get from my dental hygienist, I got charged extra for using fluoride despite that being done normally as part of the clean and got charged a gap of $118 despite having a gold membership with Medibank. I called earlier in the week to see if they are a Medibank primary provider and was told that I would be covered. Got there and the receptionist said there would be a gap because I am not with BUPA, the provider they usually use. She said she didn’t know how much it would be. I expected $40 at most as a gap. My usual dental clean takes 1 hour, I get fluoride applied on as part of it and a gift pack and pay no gap. I got charged $250+ for an amateur job in a basic facility by a dentist with no people skills who didn’t do a proper job and charged me a premium cost for a painful rushed job. Plus , I left with grit and blood still in my mouth. Not acceptable. I will never go back there again. I do not recommend it at all.
