Dr Nita Pai’s Kids Dental Practice

Fantastic experience: Dr. Pai was incredibly clear and professional in explaining all the treatment options for my child when we first consulted her nearly 5 years ago, which really put us at ease during a stressful time. Fast forward to today, my child now has the best teeth ever! Her expertise and gentle approach with children made all the difference. She’s been consistently excellent throughout our years of care.Highly recommend for any parent looking for a skilled, professional pediatric dentist who truly cares about her patients’ long-term dental health and encourages good dental hygiene.

Negative experience: I’m surprised there are so many positive reviews for this dental clinic. I took my 2 year old here for her first ever dentist visit. Naturally, she was terrified. The dentist did very little to put her at ease, and as my daughter screamed and thrashed around the dentist’s only technique was to go faster and try to hold her still. The dentist was visibly annoyed and I felt quite guilty for causing an inconvenience, which is ridiculous as my daughter was understandably very scared of this unknown experience. Will not be returning, the only star is for the other staff who were much more supportive and kind.

Fantastic experience: Nita and her team are excellent. They were clear about the different options for treatment, including the pros and cons of each and the cost. Most important, they also took really good care of my son who no longer has any pain in his teeth.

Fantastic experience: Dr Pai has looked after my son for 10 years . I have never seen a dentist work with such speed and calm disposition in my life, I wish she was my dentist. My son has now outgrown his time with her but I cannot speak highly of Dr Pai. Her patience, kindness, wealth of knowledge, and professionalism is above and beyond.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding work from Dr Pai and her team. We have an autistic four year old who required significant dental work and from first consultation to post surgery check up we have felt well informed and taken care of. A brilliant practice for families with special needs children where you’ll receive positive and highly proficient work without judgment or delay. Despite our nerves with our son going under general anaesthesia for the first time we felt confident in the surgeon and anaesthetist. We had seen a family dentist prior but only Dr Pai was able to communicate and diagnose our sons issue as well as treatment. She is very well informed and her understanding of children’s dental is far more modern and up to date than other medical professionals we have seen. Cannot recommend Dr Nita Pai’s Kids Dental Practice enough.

Fantastic experience: Dr Pai & her team were amazing. They took such good care of my young son from the first appointment through to the follow up sessions after his surgery. He was completely at ease, and the process was super smooth and really well communicated at every step of the way. Negative experience: We are very disappointed with the advice Dr Pai gave us for our 8 year old daughter! She had a very visible cavity, however Pai said she was too young to have a filling done in the chair, and it was fine to leave it as an open hole! During the 6 week school holidays our daughter was in excruciating pain so we tried to make an appointment, but were told the clinic is closed for the duration of the school holidays! Thankfully we could get her into another dentist where we were able to get experienced and professional treatment. Due to the severity of the cavity, unfortunately she needed the tooth extracted and a wire spacer - all done in the chair! Not only did she suffer a lot of pain than if she had just had a filling done in the first place.... We were out of pocket over one thousand dollars!!!

When we first consulted with Dr Pai, we had already seen several dentists for our daughter's dental issue, but with no success. However, Dr Pai's knowledge and expertise in evidence-based pediatric dentistry enabled her to provide a precise diagnosis and treatment plan. She underwent a complex dental procedure under general anesthesia. Fantastic experience: Our daughter had multiple issues that required dental surgery. Having seen a number of general dentists in the past, we noticed a big difference when we saw Dr Pai. As a specialist paediatric dentist, her knowledge, experience, and attention to detail are at a different level. She and her staff are lovely with kids and highly professional. Fantastic experience: My 2 year old had problem in her teeth which needed an intervention as soon as possible, Doctor Nita has advised us to take decision as early as possible to save teeth on timely manner. As my 2 year old hav to go under GA and I was terrified with that thought. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Dr Nita! We have experienced such a high level of care for our children through a worrying situation and we really appreciate the time and attention we were given. And our children love going to see her!

Negative experience: Think twice and seek a 2nd opinion if Dr Pai recommends your kids to go through a dental surgery with full anesthesia. Dr Pai recommended surgery for our 3 yo since she felt the kid is too young to try the normal way even though there is only one small decay observed. The cost of the surgery is over $4000 (a lot of other items are added) and full anesthesia is required. We later saw another dentist in Bondi Junction, who fixed the problem in 5 minutes with cost $150. More importantly, a surgery is avoided. Now one year passed and the teeth are all good. We thought we should share this experience.

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t have asked for more from ALL the staff here. So fantastic with my 6 year old daughter and me as I suffer with anxiety. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone took their time to fully explain her hypermineralisation and what it meant and the work that would need to be done. Also explaining it to my daughter and what she could and couldn’t eat. She had to have teeth removed and Dr Pai came and sat with me after surgery and explained it all to me. Fantastic experience: My daughter was referred to dr. Pai by our local dentist to fix her cavities. She has been amazing from the start, very patient with kids and confidently know what she was doing. Her explanation was very thorough and her advice made sense. During the surgery, she constantly kept me updated whenever something unexpected came up. Post surgery, she was very attentive with her progress, and another detailed advice during our post surgery checkup. All of her staffs were amazing too, so friendly and know how to handle and distract my not so brave daughter. Thank you Dr. Pai.

Fantastic experience: After my daughter had a serious fall down the stairs Dr Nita Pai and her team were very accommodating in fitting us in on the day for an appointment. I was superbly amazed by her attention to details and how quickly she examined and grasped the entire dental problem, as its really difficult to get kids of this age stay still for examination. She is very calm and explains the entire procedure and other viable alternatives in good detail. There is no rush when you are with her and she listens attentively to you. My daughter front teeth were in real bad shape and she had to be operated at hospital. Dr. Nita Pai has done a wonderful job!! They look so beautiful and healthy now. Fantastic experience: My daughter developed an abscess on her front tooth after a fall, so it had to be extracted when she was 2.5 years old. We were referred to Dr Pai who was the first dentist who managed to get my daughter in the seat within seconds of being there. Her warming and caring nature was very apparent from the start. The extraction went far better than what I expected, so as sad as it was to have her front toot removed at such a young age, I'm grateful that we were referred to Dr Pai to do it.

Although we live quite far from the clinic I decided to go with Dr Nita Pai after seeing her amazing reviews and I am happy to say that she and her team did exactly what I had expected. Fantastic experience: We just returned to Dr Nita Pai after COVID for well overdue appointments for my daughters. Dr Pai is so calm, patient, efficient and amazing with kids. My girls responded so well and I’m thrilled to have such a professional Dr looking after their teeth. I’m grateful my girls can have a positive association with a dentist. Fantastic experience: Dr Pai and the entire team are wonderful! Both my girls have 'grown up' with Dr Pai. She is gentle and patient with nervous kids; explaining options and procedures to kids and parents alike! She truly consults and discusses options so every decision is made with full information and her expertise in more complex areas such as hyperplasia mean she guides children to the best dental health possible at every stage. Her clinical and surgical skills are outstanding and I trust her implicitly with my girls dental care. She is also a warm and caring person.. who remembers the little details about your children. I cannot speak highly enough about this practice.

Dr Pai and her wonderful support staff have managed our son's dental care from major surgery to referral of an equally gentle, caring orthodontist and continued regular examinations which have instilled great dental habits for life. Fantastic experience: We took our four year old to Dr. Pai for her first dentist appointment. We wanted a paediatric dentist because our daughter was very nervous. Dr. Pai and her staff were fantastic. They took their time and explained every little detail before proceeding with anything - even showing my daughter how the chair goes back before putting her in it. I highly recommend Dr. Pai if you're looking for a dentist for your little one (especially if they are shy or nervous).

Fantastic experience: Dr. Pai’s office is the best. All the staff are so warm and friendly and they know exactly how to handle wriggly squirming kiddos who are wondering why you’re making them go to the dentist. They are fast and efficient, and caring.

Fantastic experience: Dr Pai has the perfect office a demoenour for children. She is soft and gentle and has a way of including the patient in the process. Going to the dentist is fun for my 2 year old, she looks for to the big orange chair, glasses and special treat after her clean :) amazing service!

Fantastic experience: After calling several paediatric dental practice for an emergency appointment, they were the only ones who were able to accomodate my 3 year old daughter. The clinic is kid friendly, the admin staff are so pleasant and Dr. Nita was thorough and amazing with kids. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Dr Pai’s surgery. Admin staff are welcoming and friendly, there are toys and books in the waiting room, everything is immaculately clean. Dr Pai herself works quickly and efficiently so that little ones aren’t in the dental chair for too long (there is a Disney movie playing in the ceiling for them anyway) but she takes all the time needed to explain everything to parents and put your mind at ease. I have really appreciated the care we have been receiving here.
