Positive experience: I would have given 5 if I didn’t have to ever deal with Rebecca again! So unprofessional when it comes to talking to you, she makes you feel like she knows everything and you are just an idiot! Is only new to practice but isn’t what they place needs that’s for sure!! My first call was with Roma - she had no clue who I was and was amazing she understood I was in serve pain got me an instant appointment for next day and even the dentist Shalin he was amazing, he could see when I met him the pain I was in and how bad my tooth was he refused to let me leave till I did treatment as he could see I was in pain, he fitted me in between patients and his lunch break to help me!! He was amazing, I wanted to be put to sleep as I have bad gag reflex he said no time for that I will work with you and help you, well he did! I had to make changes to my follow up appointment and sadly Roma was away. It was a mission to get hold of staff left 5 messages no call back and then to get Rebecca who had no idea what Roma and I had organised and wouldn’t listen to me was just a nightmare!! I ended up waiting to be able to speak to Roma to deal with it all again as I knew we had booked my follow up a 5 weeks and could be between 5-7 weeks so I was safe with moving it after having 2 losses in my family! There was no compassion from her just we can’t warrant your temp filling, which was a lie, and Roma when I finally got hold of her promised it was all ok to have changes and warranted. Roma you are a beautiful young women and I thank you for your care and compassion towards patients. The nurses are all amazing too so understanding with gag reflex and how to support you while in chair. Thank you again ladies & Shalin But NO thanks to you Rebecca…..

Fantastic experience: I had to get a re-treatment for an infected root canal and Dr Jimmy and his team did a fantastic job. It was painless, they accommodated me after learning I was afraid of needles and checked up on me throughout. Amazing experience, 10/10 recommend, especially if you’re anxious these guys know how to handle it. Even the receptionist are extremely kind and knowledgeable. A big thanks to the team once again.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Norwest Endodontics by my regular dentist for ongoing sensitivity thought to require root canal treatment. I found a modern friendly practice with staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Dr Jimmy Chan is an excellent specialist who tested the problem and found my problem was more simply an old filling that needed re doing. His explanation was simple, logical and easy to understand. His knowledge and patience ended up saving me thousands of dollars in treatment costs which quite frankly he could have done and I would have been none the wiser. Not only did the modern equipment, clean and modern rooms and the friendliness of the staff impress me, but the integrity of the practice is of the highest order. No hesitation in recommending Dr Jimmy Chan and his team.

I had such a great experience here, I have very complex and problematic teeth and the team were super supportive, extremely professional and gave first class service. They squeezed me in at a moments notice, gave follow up phone calls to check on me, provided last minute help and made me feel really valued and supported. Fantastic experience: As an older woman with a long standing fear of dentists my experience of Dr Desai was a welcome surprise. In addition to his quiet professionalism and obvious skill, he completely overcame my fear and stress about the root canal procedure and allowed me not just to relax but actually enjoy the procedure.

Fantastic experience: Whilst visiting a dentist is never pleasant, the people at Norwest Endodontics made my visit not unpleasant. The venue is clean and bright, views from the 4th floor windows nice and most importantly the dentistry was (completely) pain free. I had root canal work. I do recommend this establishment. Also they had free car parking!

Negative experience: I would never go back here for root canal treatment. The only person that had empathy was lovely Roma. After few thousand $$$ I had the tooth pulled out. My dentist did better root canal than here. This is just MY experience.

Fantastic experience: Had to have my first root canal and after many people telling me that it is painful, I was prepared for the worse. Had to have pre-meds 24 hours before. Went for my first of two visits. Stage 1, 90 minutes and 5 canals later. Was given pain meds to take once needles wore off which I did not need. During the whole 90 minutes, I had one tiny bit of pain that lasted a split second. Stage 2, 45 minutes. No pain. The whole process from the time I walked in and met the amazing lady, Roma at the front desk to my specialist, Dr Jimmy Chan and the dental nurses was the best ever experience I have ever had and we all know how much we love going to a Dentist. If you have to get a root canal done, I highly recommend this place. Everyone who works there are amazing, professional and really look after you! Even follow up calls to see how you are going. 10 out of 10!

Fantastic experience: At Norwest and Coffs Endodontics I found the dentist specialist to be exceptionally professional who explained the procedure fully that was conducted in a relaxed calming environment. All assistants treated you with a smile and a good sence of humour. In particular special note is to be mentioned about the follow up post procedure and the caring nature of Roma that was very much appreciated and I would not hesitate in recommending family and friends to the practice. Negative experience: Poor experience. 1 hour parking with only 10 spots and they are all full when I arrived. I was getting a consultation at first, when Jimmy said there’s nothing wrong with my teeth and he wants to take a “3D graph”, he went straight to going to preparation without asking my permission. I stopped him and ask how much is this going to cost? He said roughly $600. I said with this much cost, you need to check with me first so I’m willing to pay. So I refused to proceed. Later on he gave me a piece of handwriting paper (with the other side already used) of my symptoms and records saying that I can use for other consultations. I had to ask him to provide an official medical record myself as a patient. So he can do it the right way. I rarely write any bad reviews but this time I feel very frustrated and upset, not only I couldn’t find out what treatment I needed, but also getting a bad experience. Overall, I don’t feel Jimmy is professional or helpful.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with my experience with Dr Shalin Desai at Norwest and Coffs Endodontics. Shalin has looked after two of my teeth over several years. We are lucky to have him come to Coffs Harbour every fortnight.

Negative experience: I sought a second opinion from Dr. Desai when another dentist recommended removing a problematic tooth. Dr. Desai confidently claimed that removal was only suggested/done by those incapable to treat the issue, and he reassured me he could successfully treat it. Initially this sounded like good news. Unfortunately, after following his advice for around a year, which included lots of back and forth and treatment (all the while the Dr assured me he was still hopeful) the tooth continued to cause persistant infections- just as it had before. In the end, Dr. Desai advised that the tooth indeed needed to be removed. This ongoing issue turned out to not only be a waste of time and money but also a detriment to my health. In retrospect, seeking treatment from Dr. Desai failed to meet my needs and resolve the issue effectively.

The consult was so professional and informative where I felt completely at ease I was at the right place. Then the procedure, well I would have to rate that as the best major dental procedureI have ever had. In out, no pain no fuss from a great team. The pain pretty well vanished immediately after the snesthesia wore off. Able to start chewing softly and even drink normally again which I haven't been able to do for months. As I said came in with extreme pain and feeling very lucky and grateful to you all, having it all completed so quickly as well as it did which was well above my expectation given the time of year leading into Christmas. Fantastic experience: Wow! I had 2 root canals that needed to be fixed. The receptionist was friendly from the moment I made an appointment to the moment I walked into the clinic. The nurses assisting the doctor on both occasions were lovely. The doctor was wonderful! Very clear about what work was required, the risks involved and was very professional. I'm so glad Dr Hamza took care of my teeth. Both root canals were completed without any issues and I didn't feel any pain after the procedures. I would go back to Dr Hamza in a heartbeat! He and his very competent assistant worked so quickly and efficiently it was over well before I expected. I did develop a slight infection after the 1st visit which the good Dr attended to very swiftly by sending a prescription direct to my pharmacist, so I didn't need to print it out. I highly recommend Dr Desai and his team to anyone considering having a root canal done.

Fantastic experience: Dr Desai and his beautiful assistant. Lorraine both made feel relaxed and safe. The procedure took less time than I had anticipated and I felt comfortable at all times. I was expecting bruising but had none and only a tiny bit of swelling. The next day my face felt a bit like a brick but I had no pain. I highly recommend Dr Desai.

My daughter was very anxious and scared to visit any dental places due to previous trauma. However after the first visit with Dr Humza she walked away saying "I like him and trust him" which was amazing and such a massive relief. We went back for the root canal procedure, the nurses, anaesthesiologist Shane and Dr Humza were absolutely amazing, looked after my daughter throughout and after the procedure, took care of her like their own which I am so appreciative for. My daughter woke up and was so emotional and thankful to all that helped her today!! These guys are amazing and have restored my daughters faith in dentistry.

Fantastic experience: This was the most unusual dental experience. Dr Shalin is very funny, and gentle and the process is quick and painless. The staff are empathetic and compassionate. I assumed it would be expensive but the prices are equivalent to regular dentistry. I would highly recommend Norwest Endodontics and I will use them again. ❤️
