Negative experience: I previously had a great experience here, which is why I left a positive review. However, I feel it's important to update it after my second visit. I called to book an appointment for a Friday, which was initially confirmed. But just an hour before the scheduled time, I received a call saying there was an emergency, and my appointment had to be moved to Saturday. Despite being in severe pain due to a wisdom tooth issue, I agreed to reschedule. While I understand that emergencies can happen, the issue arose when it came to payment. I was unexpectedly charged an additional $20 because the appointment was moved to Saturday — a change that wasn’t initiated by me. It would be much better if pricing details, including any day-specific charges, were clearly communicated upfront so that patients aren't caught off guard. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I can no longer recommend the clinic.

Negative experience: Dr ritu!! What a shame. We waited 20 mins past our appointment to be seen. Appointment was for check up and clean. From sitting in the chair to getting up was a total of 10 mins. Was charged $176 for the ten minutes. And when I questioned the amount the response was ‘I worked so hard’ with a smirk. Completely unprofessional. Have reported her to Medicare and cancelled all future appointments. Disgraceful.
Hi Hicham, I am Tej , Practice manager here. Its quite unfortunate that you experienced unsatisfactory service. however I have discussed the case with Dr ritu and other staff members and here is my perspective.
I really don't understand what expectations you were carrying while visiting a dental practice.
Waiting time - It is quite normal that you wait before you are seen. The dentist was not sipping a cup of coffee and keeping you on hold. She was attending a patient and every patient is as important as you are. No one will drop an extraction half way and attend you. You were informed that we are running behind schedule and if it was getting too late for you, unfortunately rescheduling was the best option.
Duration - The total treatment cost is based on items and not the length of time spent. For eg an extraction will cost 300$, doesn't matter it takes 5 minutes to take it out or 2 hours. It will cost the same price.
Your kid was government funded for the treatment. The prices are not decided by us for it. We have to follow the fee schedule provided by the govt. You were not charged for it privately. Govt will pay us once we submit the claim.
Don't bother to report it to Medicare. We ourselves do it every day. That's how we get our claim money from the government. We get our claims based on the item numbers and not the time spent.
Service - They are dentists working on alive humans not some car engine. It is a well known practice to keep the kids as much less in the chair to avoid anxiety and do all the post treatment talks at reception.
Dr ritu is the best dentist around with kids. Her 100s of testimony from mothers and our almost 2000 kids patients database is a witness to it. I am really sorry that you found it otherwise.
So after considering everything its for the best interest for you that you find some other dentist for your family as we really can't address any issues you raised. Good luck with finding a practice which can do medicare claim for cheaper , playing up with the govt prices and keep your kid longer in the chair so that you can have your peace. We have made you inactive in our database and feel free to let your other dentist know where we can transfer the records of the patient when requested by them officially.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dentist in reservoir. I take my autistic son here and it’s such a wonderful experience. I have had a root canal and tooth extraction and have not felt a thing with each and I was in and out so quickly. They are so caring and reassuring. They also walk you through the cost beforehand so there’s no surprises. I saw the accept afterpay also which is so great. I recommend everyone come here.

Fantastic experience: Wouldn't have expected to be giving a review for a dentist but this place is actually really good. I needed to find a local dentist after moving and this place gets almost unbelievably good reviews so thought I would give it a shot. I can see why. Fantastic experience: OMG! I can’t thank enough. Dr. Ritu is the best, I went in today with a tooth ache, she looked into it, and was so calm and composed and explained what she was going to do. And did it with out any stress, my stress just went off once she got me on the chair for the treatment to start, she is the best. Thank you soo much Dr. Ritu and the dental assistant who helped. Highly recommend this dental clinic.

Fantastic experience: Been here a couple of time in the last few years. Always been great. No massive upsell. Just fixing problems and general advice. Also, upfront about costs. Only clinic I have visited where I didn't have to say, "OK, that all SOUNDS like a good plan... but how much is it going to COST?" They spelt out my options clearly, without me having to enquire exactly how much that's going to set me back. It's a little thing, but appreciated. I will be back. I mean, I have to. In two weeks. For a general checkup. But that aside, I will be back in future...
