Negative experience: My wife and I visited this dental clinic (Comfort Dental Gymea), but I regret going there. The dentist, Suraj (Raj), questioned why I came, as I had mentioned I was previously with another provider. He even asked if I was there just because of my wife, which felt unprofessional. His attitude was dismissive, and his way of speaking made it seem like he was making fun of me. The cleaning was rushed and too harsh, causing me pain. When I asked for rinse water, I was ignored, which added to the poor experience. I also had a conversation with the dentist regarding the “gap” payment, explaining that I have Comprehensive Plus insurance and usually either pay under $100 or have no gap . His response was, “Then you can go back to them.” What kind of business and service talks to a customer like that? Compared to other clinics where the dentists were polite and professional, this was a huge disappointment. Not a good service at all, Unprofessional, I would never recommend this place. John

Fantastic experience: I initially experienced some issues with the procedure I had, but I was truly impressed by how kindly and efficiently the clinic resolved everything and took feedback into consideration. Today I went for the 25% peroxide teeth whitening, and the results were absolutely amazing. The professionalism and care they showed made the experience worthwhile!

Negative experience: Fastest check-up & clean I’ve ever had (in & out in less than 30 mins). Michelle, the dentist who looked after me was lovely & very professional throughout - however her dental assistant couldn’t even bother to say a simple ‘hello’ to break the ice before jumping into my mouth with tools. Not pleasant for my first and last visit. For the public record - they tried to charge my health fund $520 (for 25 mins work…!!!), then when I paid for it myself, the gap was only $250… Scrupulous use of the Australian private health insurance system??? Will not return. Felt purely transactional. Edit: no, my health fund didn’t work (luckily!) - which alerted me to the fact they were trying to charge $520 for 25 mins work. What a joke! And trying to pass this off as “okay business practice” - I don’t think so

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Dr Raj and his team. The dental assistant Grace was kind and attentive, making sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. Dr Raj was thorough, explained everything clearly, and was gentle during the procedure. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. The practice was clean and well organised, and the whole team worked together seamlessly. It’s not often you leave a dentist’s office feeling this positive, but I did! Fantastic experience: I’ve been for a checkup and clean and then back for whitening. The whole team is great. They’re the gentlest dentists I’ve ever had. They talk me through what’s happening (I’m not normally great with dentists) and don’t recommend unnecessary procedures. Fantastic experience: Dr Michelle was very knowledgeable and had great communication, clearly telling me what she was doing and what the treatments will help with. The cleaning and check ups were quick, painless and surprisingly very comfortable! Whitening treatment was quick with the Phillips Zoom, though my teeth were more sensitive, Dr Michelle was very nice and turned down the strength settings and also gave me additional gel to combat sensitivity. Overall a very good experience, relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable! Will definitely be recommending to friends!

Fantastic experience: Dr Raj is a fantastic dentist. I had 2 wisdom teeth slightly pushing through the gums (growing sideways). This was not an easy procedure as it required breaking the tooth to pull pieces out through a small hole in the gum under local anesthetic. It took about an hour for both teeth and I had recovered within 24 hours. Other dentists wanted oral surgery so they could clamp my teeth open and cut my gums (increasing the risk of infection, the recovery time and costing $1,000s more).
