Negative experience: Absolutely appalling experience – would give zero stars if I could. I visited this clinic on 15 January 2022 and left feeling completely taken advantage of. I was originally quoted $150 for a consultation, but was charged nearly $500 with no clear justification. I was forced to take an X-ray, despite the fact that I had provided a perfectly valid one taken just two weeks prior – the X-ray they took was identical, and completely unnecessary. The consultation itself was a 20-minute session where the dentist showed me YouTube videos that I could have easily watched at home. It felt like the appointment was intentionally dragged out just to justify the outrageous charges. To make matters worse, the dentist used scare tactics, insisting I needed a long list of treatments for TMJ dysfunction, leaving me anxious and confused. I later texted my concerns and asked for a refund, and to this day, I have never received a response. I’m still furious and feel completely ripped off. This clinic clearly prioritises profit over patients. I demand a full refund and will not rest until this is addressed. Avoid this place at all costs.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had chronic TMJ pain for 6 years and been to multiple dentists, orthodontists, TMJ specialists, jaw surgeons, physios, chiropractors and more. Dr Lisa was the first professional to acknowledge and diagnose ALL of the issues that were causing my TMJ pain. Within the first month of seeing her, my pain was already significantly reduced. She has treated me holistically, taking into account my skeletal structure, muscle habits, posture and etc. I highly recommend seeing her if you experience TMJ pain.

Negative experience: I came to this clinic hoping for a compassionate approach due to dental anxiety. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and unsettled. The tone felt transactional, and when I brought my mum in to help me process a $10,000 treatment plan, the dynamic noticeably shifted. A comment was made that we both found inappropriate. I also woke up with a large sore inside my mouth, under my lip — in an area where I don’t believe any work had been done — and felt judged for coughing during sedation, which I couldn’t control. For such a costly visit, this was not the supportive or professional experience I was hoping for. I’ll be going elsewhere for the rest of my treatment — I refuse to be treated like a cash cow.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency broken tooth at 5pm on a rainy evening in Sydney. I don't live in Sydney and had flown in for a conference. The team at Pain Free Dental waited for me past their usual closing time and absolutely sorted out my issue. They were kind and informative and I am really grateful to them. Highly recommend :)

Negative experience: My experience at this dentistry was a horrible experience , when i rang up to make an appointment I was advised by the receptionist that the total cost would be 150 dollars too see someone foTMJ . When I arrived Dr Lisa Chong told me that it was going to be 350 dollars she then said to me that 150 dollars was for only 15 minutes i agreed and went in to only take 2 photos ,she told that for my TMJ would cost me between 10 to 20 THOUSAND DOLLARS ,not even explaining what the procedure was going to be, she was rude and all she was concerned about was the 15 minutes , she just wanted my money. I will never go back ,one star is too generous

Fantastic experience: I avoid seeing dentists before but when I couldn’t take the pain anymore, I went to Dr Lisa. She walked me through every step patiently and explain that I had an acute issue on top of chronic neglected teeth. Once the infection was treated, the pain disappeared. Fantastic experience: Dr Chong is the best dentist I have ever been to. I’m extremely anxious around dental visits and have in the past put off going for long periods so when I first came to her my teeth were a mess. We worked out a schedule to get them all fixed, and her calm demeanour and ability to provide calming aids in clinic have meant my teeth are now much better and I no longer dread dental visits. I now live an hours drive away and still keep coming to Dr Chong as her work is great, reasonably priced, and she is so nice and supportive of my anxiety issues. Also had severe tooth pain build up before my wedding and due to an extended trip immediately after, I ended up visiting Dr Chong about 4 days before the wedding. I had to have a wisdom tooth removed (wouldn’t have made it through the honeymoon trip) and she was so careful and good that I experienced only the most minimal bruising and swelling - couldn’t even tell come the wedding day!

I had a tongue tie and lip tie release and so far I am so pleased with results and follow up care from the clinic. Dr. Chong's holistic approach is also greatly encouraging in that my crowded teeth and underdeveloped jaw is sure to improve under her guidance going forward. Negative experience: I would probably avoid. She's way overpriced and not particularly friendly. I had to have work redone by someone else and her methods weren't recognised by the new dentist.

Negative experience: I have never received such an awful service as the one received with Dr Lisa. She was so rude. I took my 3 year old son in for an examination (he had never been to a dentist before) which of course I advised Dr Lisa of. She inserted a syringe into his mouth without any warning to either of us. He automatically got upset she told him to go home she then advised me in front of my son that I will need to take him somewhere where they will have to knock him out to work on him. She then asked me if I was an only parent as my son was crying. I'm still shaken up about the whole experience. Now I have to find a way to fix the damage she has done to my sons opinion on dentists visits.

Fantastic experience: Suddenly had wisdom teeth pain and searched up on google. Got same day appointment. Doctor chong was extremeley nice and extracted the teeth without any pain. She also talked to me about implants and other procedures for my teeth. Overall the whole experience was nice and pain free.

Negative experience: I went to have a cosmetic procedure which I hadn't got a quote for in advance. I found out it was going to be at least twice what I've paid the past 3 times (done both by a doctor and at a skin clinic) I also asked about other procedures which were extremely expensive so I said I'd think about it. I was in the place about 5 mins - and when I went to leave (after not having anything done) this dentist Chong wanted $150! For a 5 minute chat! I didn't like her attitude, and she seemed to be telling me I'd need lots of cosmetic procedures for thousands of dollars due to my age. I wouldn't go there for anything - what a rip off.

Fantastic experience: I had been to a couple other dentists before and developed anxiety due to constant pain during procedures. When I visited Dr Lisa to get my filling done, I had an absolutely pain free experience and she was the most friendly dentist I had been to in a while. She discussed my future treatments and other things I was interested in like teeth whitening, my impacted wisdom tooth and possible root canals or implants with great patience. I didn't quite get it, until I too was laughing and joking around after my first session, and every session since. There's a level of quality, care and humanness that Dr Lisa Chong and her team bring, that has permanently changed what I accept from dental professionals. My only complaint is that my teeth are in such great shape, that I only need to return a few times a year

Fantastic experience: I have suffered from TMJ pain for a few years and have spoken to other dentists about the issue, but none of them were able to help. Luckily, I had found Dr. Lisa Chong who gave a proper diagnosis and provided effective treatment. I'm so happy with the results thus far, as I have not experienced any clicking of the jaw ever since I started wearing my splint. I wore my splint consistently, day and night, and this is what helped me achieve the results. I highly recommend this specialist, she is amazing.

I couldn't open my mouth and it hurt to talk for a long time. ears were ringing and made me hard to sleep and work. Luckily last year I was browsing about my TMJ disorder, and found this pain free dentist clinic. And it works like magic!! I got recovered after using a splint at this clinic. Now I can eat and no longer have migraines. Dr. Lisa and team is the most professional dentist I have ever been to. She has always been open to me about the process and doing the procedure extra carefully and it’s totally PAIN FREE at all. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Negative experience: I visited this practice at the end of last year for some jaw pain and clenching. And never in my life has a medical professional treated me as badly as Dr Lisa Chong. She bombard me with a shopping list of things I “needed” done like cutting a tongue tied (which I’ve seen two specialists since who have said otherwise). She was rude. She was demanding. And she’s incredibly judgmental. Insulting what my face looked like, my side profile and even my weight. To top this off while I was in the reception paying she yelled out to me in front of other patients “good luck with the baby making.” An incredible breach of my client patient confidentially. I have since found an incredible dentist who has helped me immensely at a tenth of the cost. One star is generous. Do not go here.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend Pain Free Dentist Sydney! I had four wisdom teeth removed, root canal treatment, fillings, and keep coming back to Dr. Lisa and her wonderful team. From the moment you walk in the door you're greeted with a smile, and feel immediately relaxed. Dr. Lisa is incredibly gentle, and talks you through the entire treatment and makes you feel instantly calm and is a dentist you can trust. I previously had a fear of visiting the dentist, but since finding Dr. Lisa any fear has gone and happy to say I enjoy going to the dentist! The lavender oil diffuser and playing music throughout the treatment are nice touches as well!

Negative experience: Please AVOID this dentist. They don't care about you. They want just make money. The doctor was really rude and unpolite. The anaesthesia wasn’t working and I told the doctor few times during the procedure and she only listened to me when I lost control and had to get up in the middle of the procedure and burst into tears. My gums were bleeding a lot and I was suffering and she just ignored me and said I was exaggerating. I had pain on my mouth gum for more than two days. PS: Answering your reply dated 10/02/2023. The fact that you respond to my review after 3 years saying that I have never been your patient proves that what you are saying is not true. I was your patient but for obvious reasons, I am not anymore

Fantastic experience: Lisa is skilled and meticulous in her work. My old bridge was causing gum problems. She fixed them and the new bridge she made is pretty much perfect. Dentistry is expensive but for Lisa's service it is money well spent.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Dr Lisa for the past year for TMJ pain and general dentistry. I have suffered from TMJ pain since I was a teenager and tried physio, massage, dry needling, acupuncture, etc. All of these treatments have limited effect. With Dr Lisa, however, I notice my pain decreasing with each visit. She has treated me with a combination of Botox (and don't worry, you won't look like Nicole Kidman afterward), bite realignment through the Myobrace adjustable mouthguard and rebuilding some of my back molars. Each Botox treatment reduces pain and relaxes the jaw muscles for about 3 months. It is quite amazing but isn't a long term fix, so we started exploring the option of adjusting my bite through the Myobrace and rebuilding molars. Admittedly, I was skeptical about the Myobrace as it is quite pricey and requires weekly adjustments (initially but not later). In the end, I'm glad I did it! Dr Lisa practises tough love, but you do need commitment and trust to get through TMJ treatment. Since coming to Dr Lisa, I have been less reliant on massage and dry needling from physios, so that has worked out well.

Literally all of my treatments were pain free, and Dr. Chong never forgot to give me detailed post instructions, so that I don’t end up having any more difficult complications :) I went to have a tooth whitening treatment with her last week. I already saw a noticeable change in my teeth colour, and was extremely grateful despite them being a little sensitive (but only temporary). Negative experience: I was nervous upon arrival as I was extracting my first tooth and Lisa did not help, i found her to be intense and rude and when I questioned her methods or suggestions(she kept pressing for root canal after I told her several times, no. It felt like she was trying to make a sale) for my own personal interest and because this is my body and I want to know what's going in it, she would get in my opinion quite snarky and belittling, like I was insulting her intelligence. Due to this I felt rather anxious through the whole treatment as i did not feel safe with her, but due to my pain I proceeded with the treatment otherwise I would of walked. It honestly felt like an angry salesman was breaking and extracting my tooth and I could do nothing but sit there. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the nurse was lovely and the tooth was extracted.

Fantastic experience: Dr Lisa is a dentists dentist. I get my aged teeth cleaned every three months by her and they get a thorough clean, believe me. Dr, Lisa is a perfectionist who uses her considerable skill to really help people keep their teeth and improve their smile . I have had fillings,root canal therapy and crowns over the years with her and I am always impressed by her work and her attitude. Dr Lisa is a master and I would recommend her with complete confidence because she just wants to do the best possible work for her patients. It amuses me that she shows me my newest crown as if she were showing me a rare jewel and the excitement is genuine, She is a dynamic dentist with a serious mind and and an eye for the smallest detail. I found Lisa while desperately searching for a solution to my worsening TMJ pain, which made eating unbearable and caused crippling headaches despite seeing many dentists and wearing various plates/splints with no success. Finally, after only one appointment, I knew Lisa could help. Lisa’s deep understanding and experience specialising in TMJ disorders made me trust her implicitly. I went to so many places and saw so many professionals to treat my jaw pain due to which had restricted mouth opening, tinnitus, jaw clicking and migraine. Negative experience: I visited this clinic many years ago after a back tooth cracked while I was eating, I was treated and felt better but I'm not sure what happened during tooth extraction because I just found that a fragment of that tooth is dislocated in my sinus and causing chronic inflammation, I'm going to have a major surgery to take it out!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lisa Chong is the best cosmetic dentist in sydney. My sister had porcelain veneers and porcelain crowns done here before. A complete full smile makeover I gotta say. She referred me Pain Free dentist to have my dental implant done for missing teeth and it was actually all painfree. So i did come back recently for some lip fillers to plump up my skinny lip as well and had been loving my smile since then. Fantastic experience: My husband snores so much so we could not sleep well for a good year. Waking me up all night. Dr Lisa made him a sleep apnea mouth guard. He wears the sleep apnoea guard every night and the snoring just gone. He sleeps well and does not wake up tired anymore. She is very thorough and got the most difficult curvy canal through. All her machines and equipment is high tech. Painfree dentist is definitely true. Fantastic experience: I just had my dental implants done here at Painfree Dentist. I have always had bad teeth and havent been confident smiling, thanks to Dr Lisa Chong, I can finally eat and smile. The implant surgery is computer guided and so precise. I didn't feel any pain during the surgery. Implant surgery is done with some bone grafting and highly skilled dental implant dentist.
