Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to enhance dental for several years. First as an Invisalign patient, then as a regular dental maintenance patient. Joe is an excellent dentist, not only did he make my severely crooked teeth straight, he throughly checks my overall tooth health and tracks any changes in my teeth. I had a filling recently and he made it as comfortable as possible and he X-rayed my teeth to make sure there was no hidden cavities and that my gums were at a healthy level. He is so gentle, caring and talks you through the entire process, whatever it may be, so you are aware of what is required. The needle system he uses is all computerised for numbing - you don't even feel the needle going in. If you have doubts or fears about Dentists, i highly recommend visiting Dr Paino. I came to him with extreme anxiety and a whole list of issues to work through both medically and mentally. To qualify this review I have to firstly say that a trip to the dentist is about the least favourite thing I can think of to have to do in life! Together with having some complicated teeth issues, to say that I am a challenging patient is an understatement. Joseph and his team are absolutely amazing and I can't recommend them highly enough!! It's an intimate team that feels like family and I never feel like I am just another number when visiting. Preplanning for any work done is thorough and all options are clearly and honestly presented. The work done is then exactly as described and shows a really high level of expertise. The follow up phone calls after procedures are really appreciated and you can tell they genuinely want to get a positive outcome each and every time. I've been going to him for many years and he's helped me with everything from wisdom tooth removal, to crowns to teeth whitening. He is never pushy with treatments / x-rays, etc and is always open and realistic in what can be achieved or expected. He even shows me any x-rays / scans so I can see for myself what is happening with my teeth. Fantastic experience: Dr paino did an excellent job with my Invisalign treatment! I had braces as a child but it relapsed (I think when you don't understand and do the upkeep work ie retainers this will happen). Dr paino really takes the time to explain the process, treatment, upkeep (to prevent future relapses) and expectations of the outcome. He's very meticulous in his work as well and really cares about the outcome. I felt really taken care of by his team and I definitely recommend enhance dental!

Fantastic experience: Dr Paino has been my dentist for about five or six years now and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for first rate dentistry. He has seen me through quite a bit of complicated dental work and his expertise, attention to detail, and warm professionalism, along with that of his staff, has been exceptional. He also went above and beyond anything that could have been reasonably expected to assist me with an extremely painful infected gum while I was housebound waiting for a delayed Covid test result during the more restrictive stages of the pandemic. Excellent dentist.

Fantastic experience: I have been consulting Dr Paino since around 2007 and I would not even consider going to see anyone else. I have no hesitation to recommend him as a dentist. The quality of the work performed is of the highest possible standard. My crowns and other work have lasted for the long term, so in the end I have been better off getting my dental work done here rather than somewhere else, or some practice run by a health insurer who would probably treat you like a number. He is very personable and skilled in his work so I can definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I love my dentist! Around 20 years ago I came to Enhance Dental with badly crossed front teeth, crooked bottom teeth and a mouth full of old amalgam fillings. Dr Paino straightened my teeth with Invisalign and (wearing the aligners at night) they have remained straight all this time; this is a much better result than I could expect with braces. Over the years he replaced the old fillings, as they failed, with zirconia crowns that matched my existing teeth perfectly. At first, I would take a sedative to avoid back pain from tensing up with dental anxiety, but I have come to trust Dr Paino so much that this is no longer necessary. Unlike my previous dentists, Dr Paino has NEVER caused me pain. I truly believe that dentistry is not work for Dr Paino, it is his calling. I don’t know anyone else who is so committed to excellence in what they do. Thank you, Joseph!

Fantastic experience: After ten years of avoiding the dentist due to extreme fear and traumatic experiences in the past, Dr Paino couldn’t have made me feel more at ease. From the first call where I explained how scared I was, I felt so at ease, respected and understood. Before starting work, Dr Paino explained the tools he would use, what it would feel like and made it clear that anytime I needed a break, all I had to do was lift my hand. Initial cleaning and X-rays went so well and not for one second did he make me feel embarrassed for neglecting my dentist visits for so long Just went back today for a regular 6 month check up and clean and I walked in with absolutely no anxiety or fear because I know I can trust Dr Paino and his team. The environment is so welcoming and warm that you can’t help but feel at ease. Negative experience: Only cares about money and not treatment. Had an overbite and was told I need Invisalign. Spent years on it and never improved my teeth. Refinement and refinement then they stopped contacting me. Should of gone elsewhere to get metal braces

Fantastic experience: Really good dentist. He works quickly and efficiently - because he's experienced and knows exactly what he's doing. He talks openly and honestly about what treatments are available - and the relative pros and cons. I've been seeing him for years and his answers and thinking is always consistent and thorough - an open and honest operator. As far as pricing goes, I really can't comment as I have not shopped around - but considering the consultation time, responsiveness, and methodical care taken, I actually consider this a good value service (one needs to consider that all dentistry, as a bespoke profession operating with high-end medical equipment, will always cost more than routine day-to-day expenses). I only wish I'd discovered him sooner - being a 70's kid I came in a bit scared - but the professionalism and friendly vibe of the practice makes it a positive experience. My wife and son now use him too. It really is a good investment (and will save you money in the long term) to maintain your oral health - don't put it off and book in! Your future self will thank you for it.

I went to Dr Paino initially to have an assessment for Invisalign which I then went on to have the treatment. Dr Paino has continued to be my dentist since that time because he provides amazing service, including fitting me in to see him when I cracked a tooth. Dr Paino is clear with the treatment he provides and offers options according to your budget when you may need that extra bit of work done. He is never judgemental on the option you choose and has never pressured me into getting any treatment done I'm not comfortable with or can not afford. The staff at Enhance Dental are also exceptional! They welcome you into the practice and make you at ease, have a laugh with you and always have a chat. Most importantly, they remember conversations you've had with them, whether is was six months ago or a few years. It's also great to get updates from them on how their life is going and updates on how their families are. I can highly recommend Dr Paino and his fabulous team, you would be hard pressed to find another who genuinely cares about you and provides you the best service they can offer.

Fantastic experience: Enhance Dental is one of the best dental practices in Melbourne . Joseph Paino is a quality dentist offering up to the minute dentistry using the latest technology. I have been going to Joseph for over 25 years, never missed a check up. Joseph has been the dentist through out the lives of my now three grown up kids who all had braces and Invisalign and overall great dental care. Every treatment plan is discussed and quoted with transparency so no surprises. Referral services such as opthamologists, maxillofacial surgeons and other technical services have all been great recommendations who have also done great work . Absolutely no complaints . Now my husband has started seeing Joseph after years avoiding the dentist after maybe a bit of a dentist phobia !! keeping it in the family.

Fantastic experience: Nervous patient here: three years ago I decided it was time to get a Dentist I trusted and make a decision about the long term well being of my teeth. I was 62 and well overdue in this decision! After research I made the choice to attend Enhance Dental St Kilda to meet and speak with Dr Paino and I’m so glad I did! Dr Paino coordinated and performed most of the processes involving: Two extraction, deep root cleaning, referral to surgeon for bone graft and 4 implants. Imprints and moldings for technicians to design my CZ veneers. Hours of work behind the time I spent at the surgery having prep for and implants and veneer fitting with adjustment to fit them beautifully. Dr Paino and his lovely team supported me through the two and a half years of work to my fantastic finished result (COVID causing many lengthy delays). I highly recommend Dr Paino and his team. Fantastic experience: I have coming to Dr Paino for 27 years now. During this time I have had cracked wisdom teeth removed, crowns and other necessary work to keep my teeth in perfect order. Fantastic experience: Dr Joseph Paino has been my dentist since 1995, the year he established Enhance Dental. He was the third dentist to take over the dental practice that I had been going to since I was a child. Unreservedly, he has been and continues to be the best dentist a person could have who has complex and ongoing dental issues. Since childhood, I have had several dental issues that have involved regular appointments with dentists and orthodontists. From my first appointments with him in 1995, Dr Paino has addressed these ongoing issues with professionalism, thorough and current knowledge of treatments appropriate to my dental issues and empathy which is a very rare combination in the dental profession. The main ongoing issue I have is periodontitis and in the last few years, this has required the removal of teeth and a partial denture. As this has progressed, Dr Paino has been extraordinary in his treatments and in the open and honest manner that he explains the options to me. I am consulted thoroughly of the best treatments appropriate to my condition at every appointment which currently is every 3 to 4 months. I have no doubt that it is because of this I still have a reasonable number of teeth. Many other dentists would have taken the easier option and removed all my teeth replacing them with dentures. He assesses a current issue and finds a way to resolve it - always. Lastly, my appointments with him and his wonderful staff are like catching up with friends with the added important bonus of the best dental skill and treatments available. A very rare combination.
