Fantastic experience: On Thursday I called Kelmscott dental and spoke to the sweetest young lady named Holly. From the moment she answered, she was an absolute delight. So polite, so kind and patient with me. She introduced herself so warmly, and not once did she make me feel rushed or like I was a bother. It's not every day you come across someone who treats you with such genuine care, especially over the phone. Holly answered all my questions and didn't get annoyed when I asked the same thing or took up her time, she stayed and answered all my questions. She's a real gem, the dental clinic is lucky to have her, we truly need more people like Holly in the world.

Fantastic experience: I have just finished a 6+ month dental plan with dr Rainer Anderson at Kelmscott dental to improve a smile that I had disliked for many decades. I am so very happy with the end result! I was very anxious when I thought of going to a dentist but Dr Rainer made sure that I felt comfortable and didn’t have any pain. The whole process from start to finish was done with exceptional care and a clear explanation of every thing he was doing. I would highly recommend Kelmscott dental and especially Dr Rainer for any of your dental or smile concerns…it’s wonderful to be able to leave a dentist surgery smiling

Negative experience: Absolutely Unprofessional and Damaging Service - AVOID AT ALL COSTS This has been an appalling dental experience that has not only caused me significant pain but also damaged my tooth. My review is a serious warning to others. From the beginning, the clinic felt intent on squeezing every last dollar out of patients, aggressively recommending unnecessary procedures like multiple X-rays (including a 3D scan), only to present a costly treatment plan. The filling procedure itself was a nightmare. The dentist and his assistant were outrageously unprofessional. They chatted incessantly about their vacation plans, were distracted by a news report about squirrels on a TV, and handled their instruments so carelessly that they kept dropping them. Their rough technique was alarming, but we felt silenced, not wanting to disrupt them mid-procedure. The aftermath was predictable. Once the excessive anesthetic wore off, my tooth became extremely sensitive and painful, making it impossible to chew any food. When I returned a week later to have it fixed, the clinic shockingly tried to charge me for correcting their own mistake. The same dentist couldn't even find the sharp spike left from the filling material until I literally pointed it out to him. While that adjustment brought relief (proving the initial work was indeed botched), the pain and sensitivity persisted. When I contacted them again, the dentist refused any further adjustments. Instead, he tried to upsell me on a much more expensive crown or told me to see another doctor at my own expense. Let me be crystal clear: My tooth had ZERO issues or pain before this filling, as confirmed by the clinic's own X-ray and 3D scans. Now, I'm left with a damaged tooth and persistent discomfort due to their negligence and lack of professionalism. This clinic is not only incompetent but also disrespectful to its patients. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). ------------UPDATE (22/07/2025)------------------- The clinic has now responded, and their response confirms their complete lack of accountability. Their proposed "solution" to the problem they created is for me to either spend significantly more money to have a crown installed by them, or to be referred to another dental clinic where I would have to pay for the treatment myself. Spoke with a manager yesterday (July 21) who explicitly confirmed on the phone that the clinic will not take responsibility for their mistake. They invited me to the clinic during work hours for a "talk", but were clear that this meeting would not include any form of treatment or actual resolution. But here is the most revealing part: After my initial review was posted, the very dentist who treated me called and left a voicemail claiming he "doesn't know what is happening" with my case. So let me get this straight: The clinic's official position is to refuse treatment and push for a crown (a decision presumably made by the dentist), yet the dentist himself is claiming total ignorance? This is completely unprofessional. Perhaps the staff should get their story straight before making contradictory statements to a patient. This entire experience only reinforces my original warning about this clinic's incompetence and refusal to take responsibility for the harm they cause. ------------UPDATE (23/07/2025)------------------- Thank you for your public reply, Julie. You accuse my review of having "defamatory characterisations." My review is a factual account of the unprofessionalism and pain I experienced at your clinic. This includes being forced to listen to your staff discuss their Bali vacation plan and giggle during my procedure, the pain that followed, and your clinic refuses to take responsibility. A competently done job or even just respectful customer service would have been enough. Your clinic failed to provide either. Your decision to respond with intimidation instead of accountability tells the public everything they need to know. My warning stands.

For a "scaredy cat" it makes a world of difference. Well worth the 45 minute drive and I won't go anywhere else. Cassandra and Dr Abraham are the best !

One of the things I value most is that it doesn’t feel like a money-driven practice. Unlike some other places I’ve been to, where that was the impression, Kelmscott feels honest and patient-focused. Overall, the entire experience — from the welcoming staff to the clean, well-maintained facilities — has been exceptional.

Negative experience: Went in for consult and was told to go ahead with 3D X-Ray so I did $310 later was meant to get a treatment plan to do 2 treatments ,it’s been over a week and not one contact or Email , I’ve had a consult prior elsewhere and walked out the door with the treatment plan ,I’ve virtually wasted $300 if I don’t end up with a price to go ahead there was no point in consult lol

Kelmscott dental surgery has an amazing collection of staff . From the front desk to the nurses and then my dentist Dr Ram. Dr Ram was caring, and amazing, he was very empathic to my fear. Fantastic experience: I had a bottom wisdom tooth removed by Dr Rainer on short notice. Before and during the procedure he explained it all so well the process that was going to be performed and what to expect. DR Rainer and his staffs calming influence in the room made a fear ,bearable. Strongly recommend Kelmscott Dental and Dr Rainer for extractions.

My last few visits were to extract my wisdom teeth in preparation for my invisalign and it was a pleasant experience (if you can call getting your teeth taken out pleasant). It was real easy, straight foward, no hiccups or mistakes done. The staff seem to be very friendly and also helpful. I would recommend going there to get anything sorted out dental wise, especially with Dr Preeti. Ask to see Dr Preeti.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Preeti and her team, Jess and Tracey, were absolutely fantastic.. our 16-year-old daughter had an accident at school where she lost her front teeth and was traumatised. Dr Preeti was gentle with her though out thr big process and gave her new teeth today, which has been able to put a smile on her face. Dr. Preeti had such a caring nature and made this a lot less tramantic for her. The girls on reception are always lovely when we have visited and accommodated us each time.

Negative experience: I have been a client for over 20 yrs and the last visit I had will be my last. Yes they are extremely over priced but most dentist are expensive, though kelmscott dentistry generally charge more ,with "extras". While the reception staff has always been pleasant the actual dentist are not. The female dentist that I saw was more concerned with pointing out each and every issue she found that had already been identified in old records. Her assistant even sounded frustrated with her. She had no desire to listen to me. I was highly anxious and she didn't care at all. She seemed more concerned about getting money out of me. She put things in my mouth for X-rays while I was trying to explain things to her. Before I knew it 2 xray were done without my consent. At that point I realised she didn't care about me. I was just another means of money. I got up emediatly to leave. She got straight on to my records to cover her own ass and put I didn't want treatment due to price. It was actually because of her disgusting attitude. They made me pay for the said X-rays which I didn't need. I would never recommend this practice. Their are much better practices around and some are slightly cheaper. This dental practice is to be avoided. They don't care about their patients or loyalty. They only see you as money and treat you accordingly under the guise of service. I've seen the replys They give to reviews and the ones who question or are not happy with their services. They can justify their prices but there is no excuse for the way they ignore their patients concerns and feelings, treating them like a paycheck and not a person. Do yourself a favour and go anywhere else.

I've been visiting the Kelmscott Dental team for several years now for routine checkups, and have also had fillings, veneers, a tooth implant, mouth guard, and extractions taken care of by the team. Operations have run smoothly each time, as well the healing process afterwards. From the receptionists to dental care professionals, staff have been consistently friendly and informative. If I had to offer a critique, maybe the organising of appointments could be improved. A couple of times, I've been contacted by reception requesting me to shift my appointment, but this hasn't been of any major inconvenience to me.

I had a broken crown, went to the dentist in great trepidation about the replacement cost. After checking it thoroughly and refilling it to get me through to a repair, Abraham said that he would check if the warranty covered the crown. It did and I had a call back the next morning from Kelmscott Dental to let me know it will be replaced with no out-of-pocket cost to myself. Really friendly and careful service. Negative experience: I don’t usually do this but feel I need to warn others. I was told via text not even an hour before my pre booked (6 month ago) dental appointment that I was no longer covered by my health fund as the preferred dental. Luckily I checked when I arrived for my appointment that I would be out of pocket $124 !! I spent 45 minutes on the phone to my health fund who categorically told me Kelmscott dentist was still preferred dentist and they have not been informed any different. I was given no warning after 12 or so years as a loyal customer. They did not care one bit that I was on my one day off which I have now wasted, or that I would have to leave and find elsewhere . Shame on you Kelmscott Dentist. For what is is worth I will take my family else where. Though I really don’t think you care about loyalty or proper communications.

Fantastic experience: I am very happy with this practice and Dr Norcross. My previous dentist did not explain anything to me and did not seem confident as to what my treatment should be. When I came to Dr Norcross I was informed of all my options and could see my teeth on a large screen which contributed to my understanding. Dr Norcross and the team at Kelmscott dental are very professional and friendly.

Fantastic experience: It was and god send when I found Kelmscott Dental for myself and my son who is in the Autism spectrum and is highly anxious with dentists after he got lock jaw after a needle at 6 years of age. This amazing team were so good with him, cannot recommend them highly enough. Well he's 20 now and with the help of the amazing Dr Catherine Troy & her assistant (apologies I didn't get his name) from Magic Sedations, who I cannot recommend her enough for taking him quietly and calmly through it, had 2 wisdom teeth out and a couple of fillings. Thanks to all the staff there highly recommend them enough.

I was very anxious at first but thanks to them I felt very calm and relaxed and very comfortable the whole time I was getting treatment. I haven't felt so good about smiling in so long. Fantastic experience: I just want to say how Emilia from Kelmscott Dental has changed my life. I have spent years trying to hide my teeth when I smile, and absolutely hated the way they looked. I went to this dentist as they are Bupa preferred and I honestly thought I would end up with dentures. At my first appointment with Dentist Emilia she reassured me that she could work with my teeth and I wouldn’t need dentures. She even suggested teeth whitening treatment which made a huge difference to my smile. Today I went for my last review appointment. Emilia was very satisfied with how my teeth look and I was over the moon! Friends and work colleagues have been commenting on my teeth and how good they look and my confidence is sky high. I made sure I told her today that she has changed my life, I just hope she realises how much. I highly recommend Emilia and Kelmscott Dental. The girls at reception are all lovely too!

Fantastic experience: Emilia and the team at Kelmscott dental are amazing. It’s rare to find a dentist you feel comfortable with and I’ve chosen to stick with Emilia for my adult “dentist life” all the way from scale and cleans to wisdom teeth removal, invisigline and teeth whitening. She does a spectacular job and makes you feel welcomed while at ease in a place that can cause so much anxiety. I cannot express how well Emilia and this place do for their patients. Fantastic experience: I have just been to the Kelmscott dental clinic to have a 6 tooth bridge that I acquired overseas in the Philippines 4 years ago removed. It had cracked in half. Ranier Anderson did an excellent job of removing the bridge and extracting 5 teeth and a root that had been left in. An instant denture was put in. It was accomplished with no sedation, just anaesthetic, in the chair. Very friendly, helpful and competent dentist. Staff were wonderful and I would definitely recommend them

Fantastic experience: I was in a lot of pain and very nervous about going the dentist but the team at Kelmscott dental were amazing and got me an appointment the same day. The receptionists were very welcoming and considerate to my nerves and the dentist was very gentle and explained everything so I understood. I will now travel to come to this dentist.
