Fantastic experience: Dental Nook is my choice for a walk-in dentist near me and also an emergency dentist near me. Always reliable.
Fantastic experience: Perfect family dentist Carindale who also works as a No Gap Dentist. Great for the whole family.
Negative experience: I request a full refund of money back onto credit card. Please advise when this will be actioned. I booked through The Dental Nook Carindale website specifically requesting a crown and a filling. At no stage was I informed of an $80 “consultation” fee + a $60 “tooth x-ray” fee. Totalling $140. These charges are not published on their website, and the receptionist failed to disclose them when handing me an iPad to complete my profile in person. I attended expecting the actual dental work to be carried out. Instead, within five minutes I was sent back to the front desk and presented with a $140 bill for an x-ray, with no treatment performed. This conduct is not only unprofessional – it appears to breach the Australian Consumer Law (ACL): *Failure to disclose upfront costs – Businesses must display or communicate mandatory fees before services are provided. *Misleading or deceptive conduct (ACL s18) – Creating the impression that treatment would be provided, only to instead charge hidden fees. *Failure to provide transparent pricing (ACL s48 & s49) – Consumers have the right to know all fees and charges in advance. I will not be returning to The Dental Nook Carindale. I have chosen another dentist that offers free consultations, fixed transparent prices, and publishes all costs clearly online. This matter has been reported to the Department of Fair Trading for investigation. Consumers deserve honesty, transparency, and respect — not hidden charges and potential breaches of consumer law.
Fantastic experience: Dr Nikita was amazing! I had quite a difficult wisdom tooth extraction and she kept me calm throughout. The office also called to check in on me after the procedure which I really appreciated.

Fantastic experience: Amazing. Had a broken tooth. Original dentist from another surgery referred me for surgical extraction. Appointment was scheduled for 2 weeks time for private specialist. I am going overseas the day after specialist was booked for. I contacted these guys and explained my situation as I noted they could do surgical extraction. Contacted after 4pm, they booked me in for the very next day. The Dentist was amazing and was able to extract the tooth without surgical removal. The procedure was quick and painless. The costs were explained prior to commencement very clearly. We have now found our new family dentists.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Dentalnook were a godsend when I had a dental emergency / to start with they have emergency appointments set aside (I had never had that before) / then the senior dentist was willing and prompt to liaise with my chemo doctors before deciding on the best way forward / despite it being a tricky procedure taking longer than usual, I was treated with kindness and consideration throughout / just some little things I really appreciated - speaking softly and counting down for the last 5secs till the needle was finished to help me hang in there, knowing it would end / follow up was so professional and caring / I will be recommending this service to all my friends / thankyou also to the friendly reception staff XXX

Negative experience: I came here for a series of fillings, and at the last appointment, I mentioned that my ex-boyfriend used to tease me for my big front teeth. The girl promptly ground them down 'for me' without explaining it would alter my speech, singing, eating, jawline, quaility of life, or anything!!!! & these ppl are supposed to be health professionals... Umm... scary... basing their procedure on my teeth on a teen bfs passing comment. Geez, completely unethical & dsgracefully neglectful behaviour. I had come to love my buck teeth, but when she was so keen to file them down, I thought she must know best. She doesn't. Shockingly unprofessional, where's the integrity, respect, or information briefing with risk factors, pros & cons for such a procedure for the customer to make an informed decision??? We have attempted contact again to complain & expressed was upset shortly after it happened...they just don't reply? I am still shocked they don't actually care at all for their customers, and my complaint wasn't taken on board as per policy and procedures of this industry, and law states they should too!!

Negative experience: I got veneer that fell off. It has happened before and it takes 5-10min to glue it back in. This case it took them exactly the same time, but they charged me more than $400. I thought it was a bit too much, but they said that those are their rates. It think the service was good, just way too expensive.

We would like to clarify that there seems to be a misunderstanding regarding the fees you mentioned $400. We have thoroughly checked your account, and the total amount paid on the day was $350 only — not “more than $400” as stated.
This included $270 for the treatment only, and $80 for an exam. We are transparent with our pricing, and all fees are discussed prior to treatment. As an Emergency Dental clinic, we prioritise urgent care needs - from reattaching veneers to managing wisdom tooth pain and more - and provide quality care with full diagnostics and personalised consultation.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Nikita Verma and the rest of the team are great. I went in first thing in the morning with a swollen jaw and gum due to an abscess. They team was warm, friendly, accommodating and effective. Dr. Verna was clearly experienced and came across as genuine and direct. She was friendly but " Np nonsense" and quiet efficient. I don't write too many reviews. Now that ive had two abscesses and I'm about to have my second root canal on another tooth in 3 months, I have a strong appreciation for good doctorsdentists and I can confirm there are some uselessones out there but that Dr Verma is definitely not one of them

Fantastic experience: From a visit to fix my broken tooth, I’m now about to have all my long term dental problems finally fixed. I haven’t been able to get all this dental work done as I haven’t been able to afford it but Dr Nikita informed me that it’s all possible by accessing my superannuation. The whole process has been very simple by going through a third party company called Supercare who do all the hard work of applying for compassionate grounds access to your super for medical purposes. I’m on my way to having my teeth fixed and shortly I should be able to smile with confidence again. Dr Nikita and the team have been great with explaining everything simply and they always make me feel comfortable. Thank you Dr Nikita and the team at Dental Nook Carindale.

Fantastic experience: Extremely happy with the service recieved today by Dr Nikita and her assistant. My partner needed emergency dental as a matter of urgency and we were able to have an appointment with 24hrs. Three teeth removed as an affordable price. They also have zip pay, afterpay, and other payment plans that everyone may be able to afford. We also had xrays done and Dr Nikita prepared a care plan for future dental. Thank you so very much for your excellent service, my family now has a family dentist that we can trust will do an amazing professional job.

Fantastic experience: Nicest experience I've ever had at a dental clinic. Dr Murphy has a calming sense of humour that disarms you of any anxiety, but is still very thorough and talks through everything with you very openly. All the staff are warm, welcoming, and very helpful. After not being to a dentist for many years, I had an incident that forced me to go. I was able to get an appointment booked very quickly and soon had all my fears relieved. Afterwards, choosing DentalNook to go back to for a regular check-up was a no-brainer.

Negative experience: I have been coming here for years and only to realise when I arrived for my 6 monthly clean appointment that they had changed hands and my existing dentist Dr Tom no longer worked there anymore. A phone call beforehand to let me know would have been appreciated. Especially after having dental anxiety, Tom was excellent and gentle in the way that he managed it.

Fantastic experience: I had to get 2 Wisdom teeth removed at short notice due to pain. I get very anxious going to the dentist but both the dentist and assistant were so gentle and kind. They both made sure I felt comfortable and were so patient with me. I couldn't recommend them highly enough, especially if you are someone who gets nervous about any dental procedures.
