Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Bupa Dental Bondi Junction. Thank you to the welcoming team and nurse, and especially to George, who was so comforting with his wonderful sense of humour that immediately put me at ease. Years ago, I had a car accident that left scarring around my lips and damage to the nerves in my gums, which makes me highly sensitive and anxious about dental visits. George and his assistant were incredibly thorough, precise, and efficient, while being mindful of my anxiety. His calm and reassuring approach made all the difference. The appointment was the perfect length—just enough for George to do an outstanding job without overwhelming me. I truly appreciate the care I received and will definitely be back in six months for a check-up. Thank you, George and team—highly recommended!

Negative experience: Very disappointed with my experience at Bupa Dental. My appointment started nearly 30 minutes late — which I was willing to overlook — but then the dentist rushed through everything. The cleaning was incredibly poor; my teeth looked exactly the same as when I walked in. What’s worse is that they took a large number of x-rays, which cost me around $700, and yet the actual cleaning was practically non-existent. I ended up with a total bill of $810, and now I’ll have to go elsewhere and pay again to get proper treatment. Please don’t waste your insurance benefits here. The service felt rushed, overpriced, and ineffective. It’s shocking that this place is actually part of Bupa’s own dental network. I just signed up with Bupa and honestly feel very concerned after this experience, it gives me the feeling that Bupa is a very dodgy health provider. I’m sharing this to help others avoid the same situation. You deserve better care than this. Go to other dentist!

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient at the Bondi Junction practice for over three years and have consistently received excellent care from various members of the team. However, my recent visit on Friday, 27th June with Dr. George Mangoulias was deeply disappointing. When I attempted to explain my concerns and the sensitivity I was experiencing, I felt that Dr. Mangoulias was dismissive and in a hurry, showing little interest in listening to me. During the cleaning, I expressed discomfort, yet his response felt impatient and increasingly forceful. The pressure he applied made the procedure intolerable, and I ultimately had to ask him to stop and chose to leave the practice. This interaction left me feeling disrespected and unheard as a patient. It was a stark contrast to the quality of care I’ve come to expect from this clinic, and I left feeling both frustrated and disappointed, as well as it was a waste of my time taken from work

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Dr. Katrina at Bupa Bondi! She’s warm, experienced, and made me feel so comfortable. Even booked my kids in right after my visit.

Negative experience: I took my 9 year old daughter into Bupa Bondi Junction for a custom mouth guard fitting as it’s covered by our insurance policy. The appointment was with Dr Nick. After the mouth guard mould was removed Dr Nick informed me that he would clean off any excess mould that had stuck to the teeth which took about 3 minutes. He then instructed the dental assistant to apply a tooth sensitivity solution to her teeth. This tooth sensitivity solution was actually fluoride which she had received the week before at a different dental clinic and was completely unnecessary. If I had been properly informed and asked I never would have consented to a fluoride treatment. When I said to Dr Nick “she didn’t need a fluoride treatment and I wasn’t asked for consent” his response was “oh you’re anti fluoride are you?”. My advice to all parents bringing your children and teens to Bupa Bondi Junction is to stay vigilant, go into the appointments with your kids and pay attention to everything they’re doing, make them explain their reasoning and don’t let them add on completely unnecessary things. If you’re unsure then get a second opinion.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Dentist! Received very good care, advice and recommendations to ensure my teeth and gums remain healthy. Definitely recommend this practice.

Negative experience: I started coming to Bupa dental a few years ago regularly with my husband. I saw numerous dentist over the year but in recent times I’ve been primarily under the care of Dr. Nick. Not great bedside manner at all. Long story short, I had 2x fillings done mid 2023 right before going on an extended trip overseas. One of the fillings hurt from the moment it was placed to the point I came back the next day. I was assured it was just tender from getting fixed and would calm down. The pain got worse particularly after sleeping or eating something sweet. I went back a total of 4 times during then and Jan this year. To be told each time by Dr. Nick to rub some toothpaste around the area at night to help the sensitivity. At last I begged could we just replace the filling. I was told that the pain could increase and the filling was close to the nerve and it wasn’t advisable to re do the filling. I was also told if the pain last less then a minute I should really try and bear it. Fast forward to this week were the pain was bothering me so much I decided to get a second option at wellness dental Bronte. As soon as they showed me the X-rays you could see what fillings where performed at Bupa Bondi. They were jagged uneven and no where near the nerve. They immediately removed my filling and found decay that was not removed the first time and also could see where my tooth looked like it had been chipped from previous drilling work. I had also mentioned this to Dr. Nick that to touch the tooth with my tongue was sharp but it was dismissed and I was told he couldn’t see anything. Finally after almost 2 years my pain is gone and my tooth is no longer sharp. I started coming to Bupa Dental after signing up to their healthcare services but have realised you pay for what you get and Bupa dental ain’t that. The best part of my time at Bupa was James on the reception desk. Huge shout out, what a legend. I was told at my last appointment he has moved on. James if you read this, all the best with your future endeavours!

Negative experience: Arrived today for the appointment for my kid, prior to the visit I had a chat with reception to confirm a few details. She was aware that the appointment is for the kid. Once we arrived, the dentist said that they are not working with kids, they only can provide cleaning services and he can suggest another dentist for kids… waste of time as we drove 40 mins to get this information.

Negative experience: The worth experience I ever had in my life. I will suggest to close the clinic and provide training for employees: on ethics in conducting work with the public, transparency on service and costs, pay particular attention to external and internal communication, file storage and specific organization of times and methods, the standards of the main services, eliminate unnecessary waiting hours for the patients ,educate your staff good manners and kindness treating all patients equally. Conduct tests to verify if employees are truly suitable for working with the public, then reopen the clinic again with a new positive and effective spirit.

Negative experience: Expensive! The dentist took two X-rays of the same tooth, which seemed unnecessary. I assumed I wouldn't be charged extra, but to my surprise, I was. The overall cost of the filling—along with additional charges like photo records (they take pictures of your teeth for their system), examination, and plaque removal—was ridiculously high, and the entire experience felt rushed. I ended up switching to a more upscale local dentist in Eastern Suburbs, expecting it to be even pricier. To my surprise, their prices were far more reasonable than Bupa Dental's.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been seeing Dr. Michael for quite some time, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. He is incredibly friendly and genuinely cares about the wellness of his patients, making each visit comfortable and reassuring. The front office team is also fantastic! They are always helpful and go out of their way to accommodate our scheduling needs. Overall, we highly recommend this dental practice for anyone looking for a caring and professional environment.

Negative experience: Terrible experience, I was treated like a couldn’t afford to get things done. I was asked if I had a job when I queried about getting a night guard for my grinding let alone the fact this wasn’t something my dentist thought to offer. They gave me zero explanation on my pain and just referred me to someone else. I have since gone to a different dentist who takes the time to explain what’s going on to me and doesn’t treat me like trash. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: Yo tenía una muela que quisieron extraerme. La Dra. Natalia me la salvò. Ella y su asistente no solo salvan dientes, sino que hablan español. Super recomendables!!! I had a tooth that other dentists wanted to extract. Dr. Natalia saved it for me. She and her assistant not only save teeth, but they also speak Spanish. Highly recommended!!!

Fantastic experience: A cheerful and friendly dental hygiene clinic that is accredited by BUPA. James THE doorsmen is quite the nutcracker and Natalia is incredibly attentiveness to the moon. Quite the place to be at.

Fantastic experience: I had a wisdom tooth extraction by Dr Nikhil on Sunday morning. A great experience all the way from reception, to meeting the Dr, to then having the tooth pulled. Professional and painless. If I had need of another out, I know where and who I would go to. I have had other dentistry complete at Bupa Dental Bondi and it has been great every time.

Negative experience: The worst dentist experience. Zero guidance or care, I saw Dr George M and as others said it was rushed, dismissive and didn’t answer any of my questions. I was referred elsewhere so he wouldn’t have to do the work. I submitted formal complaint to Bupa. Don’t go there, its waste of time and money.

Negative experience: I had an appointment last week with dr George M. for the first time. It was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. He was late, inattentive and very unhelpful. He didn't end up doing the clean up. He said things like ' you won't die if you don't get this done' and 'Just go to the gp to get antibiotics every 3 months' and my favorite 'You can't just not go to the dentist for 10 years and expect to get everything done when you finally go' - mind you my last visit was 3 years ago. He didn't answer ANY of my questions until he asked a 3rd person into the room as a 'security' once he realized I was getting upset. I know I have many issues that needs attention and wanted a plan and some guidance and got nothing. I ended up going somewhere else where the dentist was lovely, done the cleanup and spent the time with me I needed. She said dr G. probably was running late, had no time and wanted to rush it which is exactly what i felt like. He is the absolute reason people don't go to see dentists. Please avoid at all costs! On the other hand the lady on reception was lovely.

Negative experience: Such a worst clinic I’ve ever visited. The doctor is reluctant to answer my questions and didn’t do proper cleansing. When I made complaint about it politely, the manager is so rude and unprofessional. I’ll never ever visit the clinic anymore.

Negative experience: Doctor George is rude and impolite and I wouldn't recommend if you are pregnant. I have further dentistry work to be done and I would rather suffer another initial consultation fee somewhere else, than come back here to get it done.

Negative experience: If I could review zero I would. - i was given an xray on my teeth and the dentist made me hold up the equipment because it keeps falling down! Literally I am lying on the reclined seat holding up an xray machine to my head. Ridiculous!! Fix your equipment! - next I was given a ‘panoramic’ xray. While he was turning it on I felt a horrible tingling sensation on my head which lasted a while. Its been three days since of having headaches/ nausea and a horrible metallic taste in my mouth. I hope to God that that I am not radiated from your negligence!! - i reached out to the dentist and have been ignored!! Will you be repaying my GP check up and any issues I have in the future from your equipment?? Awful!!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Pierre's level of professionalism is unlike any other! He is so knowledgable and explains everything in really simple to terms me so I can understand. He is punctual and always warm and friendly from the beginning! He quickly diagnosed my impacted wisdom tooth causing problems. He was thorough and arranged x-rays and referrals for me, explaining the alternatives throughout. He definitely takes the fear out of going to the dentist! I would highly recommend. 5 stars!

He also took a holistic approach to my dental health and put together a treatment plan that solved some major issues and preserved my smile. Fantastic experience: I have been frequently visiting BUPA Dental, Bondi Junction over the past year. The staff are always very welcoming and polite. Dr Berger is one of the best dentists I have met. He is very friendly, gentle and provides an excellent service. He is very thorough and took the time to explain my dental health. They are always punctual and welcome you as you would be in any fine service establishment. Prior to Dr. Hanna I had been seeing the same dentist for 40 years and it was so comforting to be treated as if I had been a regular patient.
