Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr. Wei-Jin Tay for a few years now, and I honestly wouldn’t go to any other dentist. He is so kind, so gentle, and always takes the time to guide me through every step. I recently had a tooth cap done, and as always, the entire experience was completely pain-free and stress-free. What truly sets him apart is how comfortable he makes you feel — even something as simple as getting my teeth cleaned, which used to terrify me, is now something I can do without fear. He’s completely changed the way I feel about going to the dentist, and his work is always exceptional. If you’re looking for a dentist who genuinely cares and delivers outstanding results with a warm, gentle touch — Dr. Tay is the best there is.
Fantastic experience: Had my two top wisdom teeth removed by Dr Lap Cheng and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, it was seamless. Dr Cheng explained everything clearly, kept me calm throughout, and before I knew it, it was done! I was shocked by how quick and painless it all was — even recovery was smooth, with zero pain the whole way through. The practice itself is modern, professional, and you can tell the whole team genuinely cares. Thanks again, guys! :)
Fantastic experience: Recently had a bad tooth needed extraction and Central Dental Elsternwick did a great job for me. From the very beginning, the receptionist was kind, patient, and really catered to my special needs for my appointment, she really did care. For the actual procedure, Dr. Lap Cheng and the nurse were very professional, went through all the details and kept me well informed during the entire session. The extraction was done swiftly and free from any pain or discomfort. The cost was very reasonable and with great value considering the level of professional services received on top of all their A-grade clinic hardware.

Fantastic experience: Central Dental is such a lovely dental practice. I see Dr Wei who is so kind and explains each step of the procedure he is doing. Celia, the receptionist is lovely and always remembers me and Dhanya, the hygienist is also wonderful. Negative experience: I had a tooth taken out now the problem is some bit's of the tooth was left behind...NOT HAPPY the dentist was wei-jin tay

Our dentists will always ensure that all parts of the tooth are removed, and if not, records, radiographs and appropriate referrals, when indicated, are organized. Some extractions can be difficult, and the wound will require extra time to heal. Sometimes parts of the surrounding bone may feel rough and stick out and it is common to think this is a remnant of a tooth. There was a new receptionist very polite and professional (not that previous receptionists were anything less). New dental furnishings and dental nurse. Can’t say I am a fan of a green chair though! My children listen to their gentle (but firm!) reminder of oral hygiene and I know that they secretly look forward to their dental appointment.
