Negative experience: Subject: Concern Regarding Unpleasant Experience at Advanced Medical centre Bankstown** I would like to formally express my disappointment following a very unpleasant experience at Advanced Medical Bankstown during on 26/7/2025, recent visit for my 4-year-old child’s vaccination. Upon arrival, I was instructed to collect a serial number, which I did. Despite waiting for 1.5 hours with my autistic child—who was visibly distressed due to the long wait—a nurse (whose credentials I now question) proceeded to call the number *behind* mine, completely skipping us. When my husband and I confronted her, she responded, “Oh yes, your number is here too,” yet still chose to serve the other patient first. This level of disregard was deeply upsetting, especially considering the challenges of managing a young child with autism in a busy clinic environment. When it was finally our turn, the nurse questioned why we didn’t first consult the GP. I explained that we had an appointment specifically for vaccination, and the reception staff had advised that we could proceed directly to the vaccination area. I would like to raise the following points for the attention of the clinic’s management: 1. **If staff are not going to follow the serial number system, please reconsider using it at all. It creates confusion and unfairness.** 2. **If a staff member is unwilling or uncomfortable administering a vaccination to an autistic child, this should be escalated appropriately to NSW Health rather than handled unprofessionally.** As a medical doctor myself, currently working with NSW Health, I am fully trained and competent in vaccine administration. If the nurse was unwilling to proceed, I would have been happy to vaccinate my child myself—provided I was given the correct equipment. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, and steps are taken to ensure no other family, especially those with special needs children, has to endure a similar experience.

Negative experience: I was nothing but respectful to the Indian receptionist but she was absolutely awful to deal with. Sarcastic, rude, blunt, disrespectful and absolutely horrible to deal with. You’re dealing with sick people, I have no idea how you’re still employed.

Fantastic experience: Hi I have been going to advanced medical dental clinic you years the reception staff are very caring and professional people the doctor's from all different professions are wonderful people caring they make you feel like family and not just a patient

Negative experience: I was currently seeing Dr Sous but not anymore. She questioned everything I asked to be checked up for after transferring from another surgery I kept getting messages from my old surgery advising me I’m due for a dexa although Dr Sous keep questioning the referral and never gave it to me. My surgery sent over my previous results but some how they were lost. Dr Sous tried to tell me that was an automated message advising I’m due for my follow up Dexa. I also booked a Telehealth with her and never got the call. Very unprofessional. Dr Hoang is a great doctor though. Also use the dental there too and was told $380 for stage 1 (1st visit) and all remaining stages would be the same amount here on for a root canal which is over 3 visits (3 stages) and when I went for stage 2 (2nd visit) they hit me up with a $700 bill and still have stage 3 to go yet which is another $700 bill. Yes they are Ripping me off $1780 for a root canal

And I saw the doctor going out while a patient was inside and was talking to another person from the clinic. I had to refund and go home as clearly the doctor has more important things to do than to see a patient.

Negative experience: Booked an appointment for 7.30am. Came early at 7.20am for my appointment. Was finally seen by doctor at 9am. What’s the point of making an appointment. The receptionist kept telling me I’m next but someone who came after me went in first.

Negative experience: Booked a skin cancer check as website says 100% bulk billed. Turns out the skin expert charges 150$. Found a problem on my back and referred me to a plastic surgeon. No option for removal on site and no cryo to freeze off the usuals. Went to surgical GP in my area to have the BCC removed as plastic surgeon not required for minor back surgery IMO, and he found a Melanoma on my back that this mob missed. Missleading advertising, bad service that may have cost me everything!!

Negative experience: I've been a client at Advanced Health Medical Centre for many years and have always had positive experiences with the doctors. However, my recent experience was extremely disappointing. I had a Telehealth appointment scheduled for 09:15am this morning, but after almost 3 hours of no response from the doctor, I called the clinic to check the status. I was placed on hold for 18 minutes and eventually spoke with a receptionist named "Kate." After explaining the situation, she didn't respond and put me back on hold, only to disconnect the call after 22 minutes of waiting. I called back and was then placed on hold for another 30 minutes! This level of disrespect and unprofessionalism is unacceptable, especially since this isn't the first time I've experienced such treatment from a receptionist. I gave the clinic the benefit of the doubt in the past, but today’s experience was beyond disappointing and shows a lack of care and respect for clients.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I rang up this medical practice for an appointment and came across a very rude receptionist and that too on the first working day of the new year. Very unpleasant experience indeed.

Negative experience: Went for my child’s 18 month vaccination, we saw the doctor and we were sent to the treatment room to see the nurse, but I found the nurse to be rude and racist. I wouldn’t recommend going there for treatment especially with children.

Negative experience: I got very bad experience in advance health Bankstown today. I went see psycho and I gave my Referral last Tuesday 10-12-2024. Reception lady told me that she uploaded the referral in my account. I can throw away the referral letter but today when I went see psychologist they ask me referral again . Lady last week didn’t upload my referral and they lost it . That shows how irresponsible they are.

Fantastic experience: I've been visiting this medical centre for the last few years. They're very busy, and I've seen different doctors. The receptionists are lovely and kind even when it's chaotic and busy. Honestly, I am so grateful to have found this clinic - I'm not even a local to Bankstown!

Negative experience: Non transparent pricing, rude doctors and poor service. Booked a consult online via hot doc for a skin check, double check the details to ensure it was a bulk billing clinic. Wait twenty minutes past my appointment only to be told by the doctor that the skin check is out of pocket. Was then directed with a fairly rude manner to leave and speak to reception to book and pay for another day. This was after he happily saw my partner for a similar issue, given this I assume he was just in a rush to get home.

Negative experience: This place is just not good. The doctors seem like they don’t really care. They are not proactive in trying to find the cause or make referrals to a specialist. I had an issue and I saw two different doctors from here for the same issue, and they didn’t offer further help. It was like customer service for them. I’m feeling like I’m constantly disappointed. Except dr bains, he was good. The others female doctors are not good.

Negative experience: I had an appointment with one of the doctors. I arrived on time and been told there are 7 patients in front of me!!! Just a waste of time and the health engine which makes the appointments and send confirmation is useless!

The receptionist Katia is exceptional, great customer service skills, compassionate, caring and a true asset to the company Dr Shams is the most efficient dr I have ever seen. Negative experience: Pre-booking appointments here is pointless, as they don't seem to value punctuality or respect scheduled times. Despite being told you're next in line, you'll likely end up waiting for hours to see a doctor. It's not a worthwhile use of your time, especially when there are other medical facilities in Bankstown that prioritize and respect their patients' time and appointments.

Negative experience: No point of pre booking appointments here. Nothing happens on time nor are appointments valued. The receptionist will tell you your next and then you wait 3 hours for a doctor. Not worth your time, there are many other doctor facilities in Bankstown to go to where people respect and value your time and appointments.

Negative experience: I have been here for more than 2 hours and I ended up rescheduling my Appointment again because the receptionist didn't put me in my appointment I just waste my time waiting.

Negative experience: It’s been great but today they confused with my appointment and didn’t put me in the queue so I spent 2hours to see doctor and no one apologized for this happening. Doctors are great but if they are too busy and running behind for 2 hours from the appointment they shouldn’t take the pre-booking. Very sad

Negative experience: Ridiculously long waiting time! Everytime I go there I have to wait for a long time.. Last time it was only 3 patients before me but still waited more than an hour and had to leave!

Negative experience: Not once have i made an appointment, whether face to face or via telehealth and its gone seamlessly. Either reception forgets to note your arrival or the Dr is always running late. Even telehealth they make you wait all day as if you've booked a phone appointment because you're free all day. Multiple times I've waited for my Dr to call me back about something and she hasn't so you're always having to call and wait on hold (sometimes for 30 minutes plus) for reception to tell you they'll have them call you back. Very dated mentality telling me I can't fly after 25 weeks pregnant (having spoken to multiple midwife's and doctors at the hospital who say its fine until 36 weeks as long as you have no complications) and supposedly her interest is in pregnancy and antenatal care. I called on a Monday to make sure I had plenty of time to get this letter to fly incase I had to see them face to face, was told no after 25 weeks but she'd check, got no call back. Called back Wednesday Dr wasn't in. Thursday no call back, called back Friday and Dr says I told you no, even after she'd told me she'd check. Now I have 2 days to find a GP who will see me on short notice while working full time to get this letter before my flight. She had the nerve to tell me about respect, how about respecting your patients and their time first, maybe we'll have some respect for you especially after lying about the conversation we had!

Negative experience: If you don't want to waste more than an hour from your life time, don't book with Peter Mikhail. Even if you have a confirmed appointment, it's useless

Negative experience: I came to this place just because they have doctors on Saturdays. I've made an appointment for 10.30am and arrived 15 minutes early like they asked but had to wait for almost 3 hours. The reason? Because the receptionist said "someone" ticked my name as late arrival. I have no idea who that someone is, or what was the actual reason my name was ticked as late. But it's not a good look for this place. The healthcare system in this country is a joke

Negative experience: Dr. Naglaa Shams is nice however to see her everytime is at least a 1 to 2 hour wait, even with an appointment booked. Very poor time management.

Fantastic experience: Never had a bad experience at Advanced Health, everyone from the front end staff to Dr Sunny Bains have been amazing. Dr Bains is kind, softly spoken and takes great pride and passion in providing superior level of medical care. Appointments never feel they are rushed and all questions are answered throughly. Negative experience: I have the Ahm Overseas Student Health Cover and I tried to do a consultation here because Ahm says this clinic accept OSHC direct biling, which means, the clinic will charge direct Ahm instead the patient/customer. I talked with the receptionist but she didn't try to help, seemed she was trying to pushing me away saying "the clinic charge the patient and that is the way we work". Maybe she discriminated me because I have the student insurance or she though I was trying to trick her. The Clinic should try to help the customer trying to understand the situation instead being rude. I will not go back there.

Negative experience: It's clean but that about sums up the good points, it's more of a production line than a doctors and whilst I get you have to be in this day and age at least provide adequate seating for the hords of people waiting, some of which are quite old. As for time management it's NON EXISTENT, 10:30 appointment and 40 mins later I'm still waiting. If someone is late and I mean late, then tough, DO NOT slot them in front of someone who was on time and waiting, they missed their slot and that is their problem not mine, make them wait until everyone else has been seen!

Negative experience: Meet couple lovely Dr, however the waiting is such looong time! No matter if you have booking. Appointment at 12.30 and now it's 1440 and still hasn't seen by the Dr. Far out! You guys have been warned!

Negative experience: So I called to book a telehealth appointment and it was booked for 11.15am and I was told the doctor won't call me at that time. He will call me anytime after that during the day because I wasn't coming in to do a face to face appointment. So basically telehealth appointments are not a priority to these doctors now because we dnt come in. What they dnt understand is that some of us cannot come in due to not being too well to even get out of bed. It's not my first time at this practice so why am I not a priority like those that come to do face to face? I think its so unfair and very wrong in so many ways. I honestly think this practice is getting worse by the day

Negative experience: Inconsistent and horrible service from both the reception ladies and the doctors. I thought I have been to worse medical centres until I came across this one. I booked an appointment at 4.00pm and wasn’t seen until 4.50pm. The doctor who consulted me was Dr. Joseph Sous and he was walking in and out of his office and walked past me several times. I was the only patient waiting to be seen and he did not acknowledge my existence once. Not even a “sorry for keeping you waiting it won’t be too long”. Garbage service! I also want to add that the consultation experience was not at all pleasant - the doctor was not very confident with his diagnosis and appeared to be very lazy in his responses. As a clinician myself, I’m disappointed - you shouldn’t make your patients wait so long for them to receive zero to nothing. There was no willingness to build rapport or make me feel comfortable during the service. I also want to add - this doctor did not ask me any questions that concluded his diagnosis. Useless! They say this is “health care”. Overall, thanks for the experience - Now I know which medical centre to tell people not where to go to.

Negative experience: Long wait times, having an appointment will make no difference - they will still make you wait over an hour past your appointment time. (Almost as if they are hoping you'll give up and leave because they already have the medicare swipe). Have not found the doctors to be particularly great here either. Was good for the mandatory Covid Vax back in 2021, (its how I found this practice, originally) but my experience since then, seeing GPs, has been a waste of time coming here.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this medical centre they excellent especially Dr shams she's really recommended Doctor .

Negative experience: Never answer or pick up the phone have tried calling 3 days in a row for a urgent follow up appointment and I can't even get through if you cant handle the volume reduce the intake this is ridiculous cant get through at 7:59am on the dot been waiting 45 minutes and line dropped. Third world country's run a better organisation than this one.

Negative experience: Dr. Con Keramianakis does not have best interest in his patients at all. I just did a PCR test which is free and he has slammed a receipt of other tests which I haven’t even done. I need an explanation !

Negative experience: Dr Keramianakis needs to look at a patient's overall health includung emotional and psychological. Further training required as he simply passes the buck. Over referring without a basic examination. It's a pandemic and we have La Nina. But unfortunately he has no idea. Very very disappointed with our experience today. No duty of care. Parking is horrific there too. I ll be talking to the media. Dr Berg in YouTube is excellent free and in demand from the comfort of your own home. Austin Goh and the Natural Method are amazing too. Check them both out and don't pay for greedy doctors who do nothing and waste our time and money.

Negative experience: I asked for the next available doctor and the receptionist didn’t even look at me then when i was next 15-20 people went to a different doctor and i waited for an hour and a half and he was with 1 patient the whole time.I asked the receptionist and they said he was phone consultant which was not true. Terrible service

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Maya El Azzi for more than 5 years now and she is the best female dr in Bankstown. She is professional and has definitely solved every issue I’ve had regarding my health. Yes she is very busy and sometimes you do wait a while but it’s worth it. Very friendly staff and a clean medical centre.
