Fantastic experience: Easy to make an appointment online, over the phone or in person. They are open 6 days a week. The clinic is clean and very modern. Easy parking close by (free for two hours). Both of my visits have been painless and they have listened to all my concerns and not let me leave without addressing everything I needed. With my private health fund I had small out of pocket expenses.

Negative experience: My children and I went to this dental practice a few times. It was more than two years ago, but I decided to share my experience now. And yes, my account is real. After one of my check-ups, Dr Glen told me I needed about five crowns. He said other dentists didn’t tell me this because they didn’t want to scare me. He spent about 20 minutes talking about how bad my teeth were and said I would lose them without crowns. The quote was around $10,000. I have a proof of that. Another time, I had a cleaning with Dr Jodi. She also talked about crowns and was very pushy. I told her I wasn’t comfortable with that and that if I ever lost a tooth, I would prefer an implant. She replied that an implant might not settle in my mouth. After that visit, I went to a completely different clinic for a regular check-up. I didn’t mention anything about crowns. The dentist simply cleaned my teeth, and when I asked at the end if I needed any crowns, he said no and wondered who told me that. He explained that putting crowns on live teeth is not a good idea because the teeth underneath can get worse quickly. A few months later, I went to another clinic for a check-up. They also didn’t suggest any crowns. I decided to stay with that clinic — they were polite, not pushy, and not money-driven. My advice: if a dentist tells you that you need many crowns, always get a second or even third opinion. Don’t agree to major treatment right away.

In general when cracks or structural compromise are present, different dentists may take different approaches. Some wait until the tooth becomes painful or breaks, which can lead to extraction and loss of a tooth. While others take a more preventative approach, to avoid nerve damage, or total loss of a natural tooth.
Our philosophy is to help patients preserve their teeth while they are still savable and alive, rather than wait for it to fail . This may include recommending reinforcements such as crowns before a crack progresses to the point where the tooth can no longer be saved.
We here at the at The Practice Modern Dentistry & Facial Aesthetics, completely respect that every patient has the right to make the choice that feels right for them and seeking a second opinion has always been an option for all patients. We are always happy to talk through the risks and benefits and alternatives so treatment decisions are made with confidence, ultimately our patients has the final decision, and are in full control.

Fantastic experience: Amazing care from the minute I requested an emergency review yesterday evening.I received a call within a few minutes to discuss the problem. I was then seen this morning by Dr Andrew Molloy and his fantastic team. Andrew’s calm manner and amazing skill (I honestly didn’t feel the local anaesthetic go in at all) meant it was the least stressful visit to the dentist ever. I needed a crown which was manufactured on site and Andrew then fitted it this afternoon and it feels better than the original tooth. All done in less than a day.

Fantastic experience: I was due to head to the airport at 9.30am for a flight on a Saturday morning, but woke up with severe tooth ache. I urgently needed to see a dentist to see whether I’d be ok to travel and have things attended to when I got back. I turned up at The Practice when they opened at 8am, obviously without an appointment. Dr. Jodie was kind enough to squeeze me in urgently between appointments to take a look, given that I had to take a call within an hour or so about whether to travel or not. It turned out that a tooth had completely cracked and required attention that day. Dr. Jodie arranged for an extraction later that morning. Everything was handled very smoothly and efficiently. And the procedure itself went well. I had to postpone my travel but was able to go a couple of days later, reassured that everything was under control. A big thanks to Dr. Jodie for being able to accommodate me on an unscheduled basis and for handling everything so professionally.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at this clinic — super clean, nicely decorated, and the staff are lovely. I'm doing braces treatment from another country and can’t go back for check-ups right now. A bracket came off, and the dentist here fixed it quickly and even offered better elastic options that don’t stain as easily. They also said they can change them before events for a good price. Wish I’d started my treatment here — very happy with the care I received!

Positive experience: Friendly staff and on time. I do wish they would use the technique where a dye that reacts with plaque is applied to highlight areas you miss during brushing

We love your thinking. You’re absolutely right that plaque disclosing (or guided biofilm removal) is a valuable tool, and it is used in certain cases at our practice. Typically, we apply it when plaque control needs to be more closely monitored or improved, as it helps patients visualise areas that need more attention.
That said, your clinician also considers a number of factors before using it. For example, the staining can remain temporarily on the tongue and lips, and in some cases, it may mark clothing during rinsing. If a patient is returning to work or school, this may not be ideal, and we always aim to balance clinical benefit with lifestyle considerations.

Fantastic experience: I first saw Dr Andrew Molloy close to 9 months ago following a major front tooth injury. After a very thorough and caring review he booked me in to an excellent endodontist for immediate specialist treatment. When that was finished Dr Molloy did an amazing job fitting the crown. His dental care and service is top class. I highly recommend him and the Practice West End. The staff are all efficient, helpful and friendly. Try to get a booking on the days Dr Fergus is in!

Fantastic experience: I had a check up and clean with Dr Glen, who was very gentle, with a kind approach. This was the first clean I’ve had in many years that wasn’t traumatic and that didn’t hurt. Dr Glen has discussed a plan with me to rectify some issues with my teeth and previous veneer work from another dentist, assuring me of there being options available to me to ease the worry I’ve had. Dr Fergus pup was an added bonus to my visit.

Fantastic experience: My two teenage sons and I attended The Practice - West End this week for the first time. From the simple online booking (which is very convenient for me) to the professional, helpful, friendly and extremely efficient reception staff, the process could not have been more streamlined. Between my sons and I, we saw Jodi, Glen and Andrew. I intentionally booked with different dentists for each of us for the first time so I could gauge the overall practice for our ongoing needs. Fantastic experience: Absolutely recommend Botox for assisting and alleviating issues with extreme grinding and clenching of the jaw. Having worn an appliance (mouthguard) for 17-18 yrs it was great to have the opportunity to relieve these issues far more successfully. Although it’s an expensive treatment that can’t be claimed on Private Health Insurance I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone in dire need to protect their teeth as I was. Great Dental Surgery with a professional and friendly team.

Fantastic experience: I would give more than 5 stars if I could. By far the best dental service. I had a very complicated bite (open bite) which previously advices double jaw surgery. Through less invasive solutions I now have a beautiful smile without the pain and price. My whole family now comes here (we drive 45 minutes, but worth it) My son is very sensitive to dental work and they are amazing, careful and tolerant around his needs. Highly professional. Highly skilled. Excellent customer service and reception team. Average dad jokes, but compensates well with humorous wit and brings an in-house support dog! Excellent dental and patient outcomes.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom tooth extracted by Dr. Glen McKeough 2 weeks ago, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The procedure was done gently and smoothly — I was amazed at how efficiently it all went. I had a bit of bruising afterward, but nothing unexpected, and I was feeling back to normal within three days. Dr. Glen and his team were fantastic. Super caring, professional, and always checking in to make sure I was okay and healing properly. The practice itself is beautiful: modern, spotless, and very welcoming. The front desk staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the office was clean, modern, and didn’t have that usual "sterile dentist office" vibe. Fantastic experience: Nothing but praise for this clinic - Dr Tony is excellent!! I had to make an emergency appointment for major tooth pain wherever I could get in. I feel so fortunate to have found this clinic - and Dr Tony in particular. He is fantastic. Very gentle and patient and understanding, and clearly very skilled. Dr Tony took the time to explain to me exactly what he was doing and why - and got me out of acute pain within the first visit. I have since been back twice and Dr Tony has been brilliant each time. I was particularly impressed that both times, a couple of days after my visit, the clinic rang me to check how I was feeling - this shows they really care. And I love Fergus, the clinic's therapy dog - such a cute and calming way to start what can be a nerve-wracking procedure!

Fantastic experience: Had an emergency dental situation which meant that I had to call up The Practice and come in earlier than my booked appointment. The staff and dentists were so accommodating and I felt very lucky that they were able to fit me in for an emergency root canal treatment on a Saturday morning! Dr Rhea Menon at The Practice was so lovely and understanding about my situation, and she was able to get right into it to help alleviate my pain that morning. She was amazing in helping me come up with a treatment plan and was quick but gentle (thank God) during the treatment. I had never felt pain like this before, but Dr Rhea was an absolute lifesaver in helping me become pain-free. I don't feel nervous at all about coming back to the dentist and look forward to taking good care of my oral hygiene with their help in the future! Can't recommend enough- especially if you are like me and get dental anxiety!

Fantastic experience: Dr Molloy was the dentist that has taken care of my teeth for years. I got my adult braces in at a time my teeth were at their worst. A few short years and many adjustments later my teeth have never felt or looked better in my life. Well worth the wait, the staff are friendly and professional, they also have a dog so you know this place is all you need. I give it 5 stars because I can’t give it 6. Thanks Andrew and the staff at The Practice!!!

Fantastic experience: An exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff were warm and welcoming, and Glen was by far the most professional and reassuring dentist I’ve ever had. I’ve never felt more at ease during a dental visit. What truly stood out was the atmosphere—unlike traditional clinics, this space felt inviting and calming, without the usual clinical scent or sterile environment. It made the entire experience so much more comfortable and stress-free.

Fantastic experience: The doctor we have in the next practice is awesome; it's great that he speaks Spanish, too. All doctors are awesome so far. However, the customer service we usually receive from the receptionists lacks empathy; they look always busy and avoid eye contact. Therefore, I would say there is an opportunity for improvement. ⬆️✅

Negative experience: I scheduled an appointment with "The Practice" based on their online promotion offering a check-up, hygiene clean, x-rays and a panoramic x-ray for $249 . During my visit with Dr. Andrew, the dentist took the x-rays but skipped the hygiene cleaning and still charged me the full amount. I was given a referral to a specialist for further treatment. This left me very frustrated. When I spoke to management, they said there was nothing they could do coz it's already a discount! I believe this constitutes false advertising and there is no excuse for it.
Fantastic experience: Dr Tony is an amazing dentist and Dr Andrew is extremely knowledgeable with facial aesthetics. Highly recommended.
