I thought it would take a while but it was finished so fast (I hadn’t even finished buying cream cheese)!! Clean and perfect!! Negative experience: The male doctor was terrible. I spent nearly $2000 on root canal treatment and it still hurts. He kept shirking responsibility after going back three times.
We sincerely apologize that you're still experiencing discomfort following your treatment, and we completely understand how frustrating this situation must be. However, we'd like to clarify a few points:
1.We have always taken responsibility and have reviewed your tooth multiple times, at no additional cost, as you mentioned.
2.The root canal on tooth 36 was not performed due to pain, but because you presented with a fractured tooth beneath the gum, very close to the nerve. This tooth has four roots, and the total cost of $1,850 is in line with the standard fee for a four-root procedure.
3.We have discussed the ongoing pain with you several times, which is related to your bite and habitual issues such as clenching and grinding. These factors also contributed to the original fracture. Until these issues are addressed, it's likely that you may continue to experience discomfort in the affected tooth.
We truly want to help you achieve comfort and appreciate your understanding as we work together to resolve this matter.

Negative experience: I don’t think I have ever been treated with such disrespect, this by far the worst dentist I have been to. Was told I was at fault for there poor communication & laughed at/ spoken about in a different language right in front of me. I have never seen such a mess of a clinic. Would not recommend to anyone.

This delay impacts our ability to provide timely care to all our patients. Notably, another patient kindly allowed you to go ahead of them despite your lateness, yet you have expressed ongoing complaints.
We also have footage that captures the interaction, including inappropriate language directed at our staff, and we are prepared to make this footage available to the public for clarity on the situation. Additionally, we have noted a history of over eight missed appointments in the last 2.5 years, which complicates our ability to deliver consistent care. When you expressed concerns about the distance, we even offered to rebate your Uber ride.
If your response is not amended to reflect the realities of this situation, we may consider legal action to protect our staff and uphold our rights. We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and professionalism in a healthcare setting. Thank you for your understanding.

Fantastic experience: Brought my 7 year old daughter for checkup and decided she needed a fix which involves numbing. The doctor did a great job in making sure my daughter understand all steps and did a perfect job in fixing the tooth! My daughter said she did not feel any pain at all. Fantastic experience: I came to Dr Chen for my teeth alignment and went through with the Invisalign package. Dr Chen was very professional and very delicate with the care. My teeth were very crooked and I am at my 30s, Dr Chen advised it’s not too late. I recently finished my last pair of Invisalign after 2 years and could not be happier of the result! Very confident of my smile now!

Negative experience: Unfortunately after a few good visits, I had the start of a root canal performed. The pain did not stop and ended up having to go to the royal dental hospital. It turned out the the dentist I had it performed by from this practice had NOT completely removed all the roots from the tooth causing even more pain then before as the partial filling (did not fill tooth leaving a massive hole in my tooth) she used essentially disintegrated allowing food etc to actively get into the partially empty canals creating more pain on top of everything else so I have now paid twice for a job that should have only been done once. Edited to add - yes I only had the first part done however all the roots should be removed in this first part. All it took was 5mins for the other dentist to remove the roots that were left in the tooth that should have been removed in the first place.

I am Dr. Chen Yu Liu, and I appreciate your feedback. However, it seems there may be some confusion regarding your recent visit. According to our records, you consulted with our associate, Dr. Lim, for a toothache appointment. Following your agreement, the initial stage of a root canal procedure was initiated to alleviate severe pain. You were advised to return for further treatment to fully resolve the issue. During the review, it was clear your pain had subsided, but due to financial constraints, you requested a referral to a public hospital instead of continuing with your treatment, which we promptly arranged.
To clarify to your edited comment, the first stage of a root canal does not involve removing all nerves. If you read the item number it clearly says open and drain for pain relief. The second stage of the root canal is called root canal preparation which involves identifying all roots and cleaning to full depth; of which this is what hospital has done for you. This highlights the importance of forth coming appointments and necessity for a root canal treatment to be fully completed; rather than left after stage one for a prolong period of time.
To clarify, you did not visit us for a second root canal appointment it was merely for a review and referral, and the treatment was left incomplete at your request. Two referrals were given that day, one to complete your root canal with an endodontist and one for braces with an orthodontist, both in the public sector. Finally, we are happy to disclose our converstion on email as proof to the full overview of this matter.
It is very easy for someone to claim credit for the final 10% of the work that is done where the 90% that was completed prior gets completely forgotten and dismissed. Fantastic experience: I’ve been to couple dental clinics in Melbourne. But I chose stick with Dr Chen as he is very kindly and professional , did my general check up and cleaning with the new tech Airflow , very fresh experience rather than the traditional ultrasonic scale clean. My parents have a lot dental problems, especially hygiene perio issue and need implants in the future, quotation is very clearly and reasonable, no hidden cost. Recommend Dr Chen , and their front desk is very friendly.
