Fantastic experience: I needed to find a dentist quick so I visited the site of the plenty valley family dental after reading a lot of reviews I could not agree more I cannot recommend this place highly enough the service and work I had done (on a Saturday afternoon) was simply outstanding.Being a first time customer I was treated so well by the office manager and the dentist that looked after me is so nice caring and a complete professional.So if you or your family need any dental work then look nowhere else plenty valley family dentist is the only place to go..

Negative experience: I had a crown re-cemented by Dr Minh at this clinic, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Around one week after the procedure, I began to feel increasing gum pain and inflammation near the crown. On day 8, I even flossed out a piece of cement, which strongly suggested there had been cement overflow that wasn’t properly cleaned up. To manage the discomfort, I started using Peroxyl mouth rinse, but the pain became unbearable by day 10, forcing me to book a full exam and clean with Dr Regina. She was polite and professional during the appointment, and did a deeper clean around the affected area — after which my symptoms slowly began to improve. That alone pointed to cement residue being the cause. However, instead of acknowledging this, the issue was brushed off as possible “sensitivity to the cement material” (RelyX), despite the fact that I have a consistent history of good oral hygiene and healthy gums. What disappointed me further was that Dr Regina seemed unconcerned about the pain I had experienced, as long as I was “slightly better” by day 11. That felt dismissive and unempathetic. While the treatment may have helped in the end, I was left with the impression that the clinic was more focused on deflecting responsibility than addressing the root cause honestly. I expected greater transparency and care from a professional practice.

Fantastic experience: I went to this dental, and it's been my favourite one so far.The dentists are really nice and accommodating, and overall the experience was great. My 12 year old felt really comfortable here, and keeps comparing other dentals to this one.

Negative experience: Visited a week back for regular checkup and doctor was not there who we booked and was changed and Even receptionist didn’t updated to us even before we went inside. But we still continue our treatment. Before there was a minor problem and after the treatment we have to visit another hospital for treatment now which became major. Never prefer this hospital for treatment.

Fantastic experience: Knowledgeable dentists you can tell they know what they are doing. The reception is also very friendly and welcoming. The clean and checkup was prompt and my teeth felt very clean afterwards. X-rays were discussed and they answered my questions with helpful insight. Past dentist visits I’ve fainted from the local anestetic so I was a bit nervous about this but the ladies were very patient and waited until the feeling had passed before continuing with the filling. I was surprised when I looked in the mirror to see how well they did the filling- it blended in so well with my natural teeth. I would defiantly recommend this dentist!

Positive experience: Dr Sharma did call to apologise on behalf of the practice after posting this review which I appreciate as this was no fault of her own. A call when they couldn't have removed the sutures on the Monday to work out a solution would have been better than a text. Review: Firstly I would like to say that I did have good experiences with Dr Regina Tunru who did my first appointment and was very lovely and thorough. My last appointment was with Dr Sharma and amongst the negative experiences I had had by that point she was lovely and kind and the stars are no reflection on her service. I had my wisdom teeth removal booked with Dr Napreet Kaur. Whilst I wasn't 100% happy with that appointment as I believe she tried to encourage me mid-appointment to have only 3 not 4 wisdom teeth taken out. I wasn't happy with the way she went about trying to discourage me, in my eyes she tried to scare me into it. I believe because she had not booked adequate time due to having to take the week prior off for personal reasons and rescheduling appointments. However, she did in the end do all 4 and I did not have any issues with the extractions itself and the aftercare went fine. The main reason I have for the 3 stars and why I won't be going back is the receptionist. Never have I dealt with someone so condescending and rude! I was a receptionist for 6 years, so I have upmost respect for those in customer service & he behaved poorly! I wasn't aware sutures had to be taken out by Dr Napreet and that it could only be done on a Wednesday. My Wednesdays were fully booked until mid August. I'm talking 4am-9pm as I travel around Victoria. I squeezed in a 5pm suture removal 2 weeks post procedure as I could for that specific day but I then had a small complication and had to come in earlier on the Monday. My belief was the Wednesday appointment was cancelled and the sutures would be removed Monday as it was only 48hrs prior. The left side sutures were removed but was advised the right side should stay in a little longer. I had moved a couple appointments from that Monday to the Wednesday to make the appointment so could no longer do the Wednesday. When I went to book the next appointment I was told it had to be a Wednesday. I expressed I couldn't due to work and was there another dentist qualified etc. No solution, no wiggle room, just it has to be Wednesday. So I informed him I'd have to get back to him as I'd have to sit down and see if I could make a Wednesday work even though I knew the next 2 weeks I'd be in Albury, then Warrnambool etc I couldn't make it work so called to work out a solution... surprise I got a different receptionist who was LOVELY booked me in on Monday. Easy. Sunday morning I get a text from the original receptionist informing me of my appointment but stating sutures may not be removed. So I called, I definitely started heated as I was fed up with his lack of understanding and helpfulness. I asked what would happen if that dentist wasn't able to remove the sutures. He told me I'd have to book a Wednesday. I CANT DO A WEDNESDAY!! I told him he was very unhelpful and rude. He then bit back and told me I shouldn't have booked the wisdom teeth if I couldn't do Wednesdays. I planned time off for the procedure 7 weeks in advance and already had to shuffle a whole week after the procedure was pushed back due to Dr Napreet having the family issues (no issues there as I understand we're human and family takes priority but this is why I didn't have Wednesdays as I was fully back at work). At this point I was frustrated, raised my voice asking him "What do you want me to do, I can't do a Wednesday so what is the solution!?" Magically raising my voice worked and I got an appointment with Dr Sharma who removed my sutures in less than 5 mins. She was lovely and the second receptionist who greeted me was also lovely. All this could have been avoided if the receptionist was understanding the first time I said Wednesdays were unavailable and tried to help me find a solution.

Negative experience: My appointment was cancelled by clinic 1/2 hour before I was scheduled to arrive. I was told by receptionist l could attend for a consultation, but the dentist would not be able to offer any treatment despite me having a broken tooth. Unfortunately would not recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: The dentist and dental nurse were great at easing my daughter's fear of the dentist, and she completed the filling with minimal fuss. I am so grateful since that was easily the calmest experience at the dentist I have had yet. Many thanks for the excellent assistance at reception as well.

Negative experience: Went for an extraction on Saturday (which I knew would be a big job). Spent two hours, two dentists, $500 later.. I got home and felt like a I had a loose tooth in the hole that had just been removed.. I kept playing with it until I felt like whatever it was should not be in there.. I then pulled this out of my own mouth with pliers, luckily I was still under anaesthesia from the earlier procedure. The dentist cracked my tooth, removed what could be seen and told me I was done, but still left the root. Then the dentists packed up and went home, so I couldn’t even call for help. I am in uncontrollable pain now, I went to my regular dentist that was absolutely mortified at what I pulled out with pliers after an “extraction” I can never go back here again, I’m so angry and I’m in pain!

I had been told I needed to spend over $4000 on 2 teeth by another dental practice only to be told by the lovely Fiona that is that it is not needed! Negative experience: I visited this dental few months ago. When it was time to pay, I was told that there is a certain % discount if you wrote one. We received the discount but we’re asked to change and give rating 5. The discount applies to 5 only. I wonder if the reviews on the website are legit or only up there to receive the monetary benefit. I believe that reviews should be independent and honest.

Fantastic experience: Been coming to this practice since 2019. Had a fear of dentists but after previous bad advice my tooth ended up breaking and I needed an extraction. Since this I have brought both my kids to the practice since age 2.5 (minus lockdowns). I have also gotten adult braces. I just said to someone I have finally in my 40s become a regular dentist visiter. As this practice is only filled with kind staff. We have had various dentists depending on visit times over the years. I have monthly visits with Dr Sharma and Ayomi for my braces and always a lovely visit. My kids like the dentist so much they want to come with for my adjustments. That was definitely not me as a kid I avoided as much as possible! Until today when I was asked by another Mum, I didn't quite click how much this practice has helped me get over my fear of dentists. Also I find Dr Sharma very honest with her braces consults, will advise what will give you best results not what will make her the most money.

Fantastic experience: A great dental practice. I smashed a corner off one of my front teeth. Within 30 minutes I was walking out with my tooth restored and for a very reasonable price. I have been coming here ever since and have recommended to family and friends.

She has fully explained the extent of damage, what work should be considered urgent and listened to what I wanted to achieve as an end result. She carefully explained the process, the effects and constructed a plan. After a lifetime of being embarrassed by my teeth, I am finally feeling better and smile more. I cannot thank you enough for how professional you have been and the empathy you have shown me.

Positive experience: Another Covid victim, :( prices went up. Took my kids for the bi-annual scale and clean and dentist was very fast 1 hour for both kids and that included the clean, 1 filling and 1 seal. The price of the filling went up from $165 to $240 from our last visit which was over 6 months ago.When I questioned the price, I was advice the cost of paste has increased. I find it hard to accept a 50% increase for an adult filling but for a kid, I can’t believe and feel that is a liberty. I’m definitely looking for other options next time. Dentist recommendation please?
