Fantastic experience: I have been attending VC Dental for years. All the staff and my dentist , Vic Sharma, are the best. You are always welcomed with a beautiful smile by the beautiful Margi and other staff. My Hygienist Christine is amazing too. They also never fault in checking on you the next day. Please pay them a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Professional and caring service from start to finish. First used VC when my son needed his wisdom teeth urgently extracted. Dr Sharma really did an exceptional job and the staff were really caring at all times. I have also been lucky enough to benefit from Dr Lee Woodward exceptional skills and expertise over the last year and combined with Christine Hoffmanns the hygienists care and attention to detail I am relieved to say that my teeth are now in great shape. I Cannot speakly highly enough of this practice.

Fantastic experience: We came to VC dental for my daughter’s frenectomy. Although the procedure itself was quite intense the care from the VC dental team made it so much better. I even received a follow up call the next day to check in on how my daughter was going. Furthermore in the procedure and in the follow up phone call they took the time to mention that I was doing a good job as a mum. Not often you get to hear that so it was nice to hear after having to listen to your baby cry.

Fantastic experience: My first root canal. I was terrified but the highly professional team who attended to my problem were first rate. Kind, understanding and they did all that was possible to help me through the process. Many thanks Dr Ruby Wang and nurse Charlie you were both awesome. Also thank you to VC Dental for fitting me in so quickly I really appreciate that. Highly recommend. Second session yesterday the 12th. I struggled in this second stage but again Dr Wang and a different assistant, Liz, really showed me kindness, patience and a thorough professional attitude to the job at hand and me. Liz recognized that I'm on medication that makes my mouth very dry and quickly used a jell that she wiped around my mouth eliminating the dry mouth, so grateful for expertise of both these women. A wonderful team. Can't thank them enough. My mouth is fine except for a little bruising where I had the injections. Delicate, tricky work and handled with expertise and thoughtfulness. Thankyou so much. Another 5 stars I finished my root canal work with Dr Wang yesterday and have a brand new tooth. Matched up perfectly with other teeth and feels terrific. So happy with the outcome. Again many thanks to the wonderful Dr Ruby Wang for her expertise and totally professional job from start to finish and of course her assistant Charlie who is lovely and very competent as well. I have my next appointment booked for a thorough cleaning and inspection of my gums. This lovely Dr has given me back confidence in receiving dental care and treatment. A fantastic outcome in more ways than one. Heartily recommend.

Negative experience: It has taken me a long time to write this review because I normally never give anything but 5 star reviews, but this place is an actual scam. I came here because I needed a last-minute appointment and couldn't get in to see my regular dentist. Firstly, he gave me something like six injections in my mouth just for a clean. A CLEAN! Without asking me if I wanted/needed them which I definitely didn’t. Then he kept going on and on about how much pain I would be in when the anasethic wore off and that I should have some panadol ready. Umm, I was in literally zero pain when it wore off, so I therefore obviously didn't need six injections just for a clean! Then he told me I needed to make an appointment and come back to get my wisdom teeth taken out. Luckily, I didn't, and I went to my regular dentist for a second opinion, and he told me my wisdom teeth are 100% fine and definitely do not need to be removed! They also charged five times what my regular dentist charges! Also, I'm pretty sure the dental assistant who was on suction was asleep, I had to swallow gallons of that water. Worst dentist experience of my life! Avoid at all costs.

I can't recommend her enough for her ability to understand how to communicate with children and make the most daunting of treatments a comfortable and stress free experience. Caring and compassionate, she will even take time for an anxious adult as well.

Negative experience: I would prefer to give no stars for this lot. I went there around 2014 for a check up. My teeth were perfectly fine but dentist lady insisted I have teeth cleaned first before she checked my teeth which was additional cost. The young hygienist almost sent me out of the chair she was so rough & it hurt so bad. Weeks later I realised that she had left deep grooves around the gum line of all my teeth. I went back to complain but the front reception people were rude to me and would not help so I left. I should have gone to a lawyer then as all my teeth have slowly deteioriated. I think now I was in shock for a long time to do anything about it.

Positive experience: i had a somewhat unpleasant experience at this practice for getting my wisdom teeth out, after i complained the clinical practise manager, Lisa, went out of her way to call me and talk through these issues, she was able to email me my records easily as requested. She was able to get me extra scripts sorted post surgery, she was extremely helpful and when i had picked up my scripts she was happy to have a 1:1 with me regarding my issues. She was extremely apologetic, kind and empathetic. She reassured me of re-training of staff members and procedures. She was really effective and shes a great manager. Her dedication to follow up with me makes me want to continue at this practice and she has really made up for the errors made on the day of my surgery. Holly the receptionist is also amazing and very attentive, very friendly and welcoming. I will be returning all because of the amazing management.

Fantastic experience: I have previously avoided going to the dentist but can definitely recommend this practice, especially Mary Anne who is so understanding of anxious patients. She is the reason that I keep attending and my anxiety is reduced.

Negative experience: Overcharging & charging for products not bought. No transparency as to charges, just blatant billing. If you ask a question, you get charged for dental advice. Teeth cleaning jumps each visit by over $60. This is outrages. You may not have a full set of teeth, but you will be charged as if you do. Find a cheaper dentist. These guys are rogues.

Dr Mario has a beautiful chairside manner that helps to keep the kids calm, while also giving us all the information we need so the kids know exactly what to expect. Highly recommend Dr Mario.

Fantastic experience: Great dentist- lovely people in reception and Josh is always very gentle. I have a lot of anxiety around the dentist and he has helped me immensely to work through this. I still dislike going but I know that I will be treated with care and never pushed to just get things done. I've had major work done and still more to come but I trust going here. Fantastic experience: I had appointments with Dr Mario Cheong and Suzette. Staff are warm and welcoming. They are extremely thorough when checking your oral health. Will explain everything in good detail so you know exactly what is happening and why. I had a filling just a few weeks ago and the experience was completely pain free! Best experience I have ever had at a dentist. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Not my regular dentist; chosen as an emergency option. Open on the weekend is a bonus. Cracked a molar on a Friday afternoon, booked in for Sunday. The staff were friendly and the dentist was on time. Fast diagnosis and extraction under local anaesthetic- pain free. Would consider this practice as my regular if circumstances change.

Fantastic experience: VC dental was the only clinic on the central coast that actually responded to an emergency, as it was Easter Sunday. Fast and efficient service. I had the same problem 3 times, with the same tooth, and another clinic did a terrible job, as the tooth kept “breaking”, not to mention that the dentist didn't get the color right. The experience at VC dental was completely different and positive.

Positive experience: Mixed feelings about VC dental. I had an abcess below my bottom front teeth which VC dental carried out root canals on both teeth in an attempt to drain the infection. Unfortunately this did not work and the teeth needed extracting. The root canal work was carried out in a professional manner but the extraction was extremely painful and traumatising despite the dentist continually telling me I shouldn't be feeling anything. Continuing from this I requested copies of the xrays, that I had paid for, and was asked to fill out a form requesting the records so I could use them in looking at options for replacing the teeth via implants or a bridge. The form initially stated I could only view the records on their premises. On querying this I was quizzed as to why I needed them and stated I wanted them to take away so I could look at other options. I was eventually emailed the xray images. On a follow up visit to the Dentist to look at options to replace the removed teeth, via Implants or a bridge, I was quoted $17000 dollars for two implants and almost $12000 for the bridge. Whilst I found the work that was carried out to be generally competent and professional, I felt the extraction process left a lot to be desired. In the matter of costs quoted to replace these teeth, my view is this was ridiculously over inflated. I have had a bridge made, same as quoted by VC dental, in Bali for $1950, by a world class dentist specialising in full mouth rehabilitation who have warranted the work. The disparity between the cost by VC Dental and the work carried out in Bali at 1/6th the cost is difficult to comprehend. I am delighted with the result of my bridge from Bali and would not recommend VC dental for this type of work due to the overinflated cost disparity.

Negative experience: The lady in the reception ( for pay) was very rude. Everyone else except her were friendly but I will never come back.

Negative experience: Awful experience. Called with an emergency broken tooth and was assured I would be booked in at 5 the same afternoon to get it fixed up. Left work early only to sit in the waiting room for over an hour without any courtesy message of practitioners running late or a polite apology for waiting so long. Was seen for 5 minutes and charged over $200 for X-rays before the dentist even looked in my mouth and they couldn’t even fix the broken tooth that day, was advised to come back when they had more time… a lot of wasted time and money for nothing.

Negative experience: Attended for my teenager to discuss wisdom teeth extraction. We waited over an hr while loads of people came and went including someone that got squeezed in. No explanation or apology. In the end we left. Seemed as though we were just not going to be seen.

Fantastic experience: I have seen Dr. Vic Sharma on several occasions in the last 2 years for some complex dental treatment. He always explains the procedure thoroughly and importantly I've never felt any injection ( local ameasthetic) that he's given me. Good dentist.

Negative experience: I'd shop around for other dentists before going to VC Dental. They aren't clear with their prices and sting you extra at the end of your appointment. Was suppose to get a free clean for being a new customer and they only did half the clean the 1st appointment and couldn't finish it the 2nd time and they charged me for it. I disputed this after but was told theres nothing they can do about it. There's plenty of other dentists with alot cheaper prices who treat their customers more than just a number.

Fantastic experience: I was extremely paranoid of dental visits after a bad experience however the team at VC Dental East Gosford are extremely caring and professional. They care about their clients and it comes across in everything they do.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing. I first went and seen Christine Hoffman for a general check-up. I was very nervous, but Christine made me feel at ease and helped me to get all the work done to fix my teeth. I am now fourteen months in with braces due to her recommendations. Dr Vikas Sharma has been brilliant with not only myself but with my ten-year-old who is also at the start if his dental work. I highly recommend this dental practice to anyone. From the front of the house to the rest of the team nothing is ever an issue, and they are always happy to help.

Negative experience: Used to be good. Quite revolted by the latest visit - the dentist had the x-ray upside down a year ago and filled the wrong tooth. It amazingly no longer needed a root canal, but a tooth on the opposite side and on the bottom (instead of the top) now does! It may even need to be removed and replaced by an implant. Also saw a different guy there than usual once and guess what he took the liberty of doing to me? A root canal without even mentioning he was about to go to town on my mouth and wallet. He kept repeating 'I'll get you out of pain mate' and I kept telling him it wasn't painful and I could wait for my regular dentist. Halfway through something didn't seem right, so I typed on to my phone's notepad 'root canal?' and showed it to the dentist's assistant. She nonchalantly said 'yep' like it was nothing. Forgave that error but after this latest catastrophe, I would never go back and wouldn't recommend them to anyone whatsoever, absolutely ever. Furious.

Fantastic experience: Marianne(Mary) the Oral Hygienist has always been very professional and thorough in her practice with me whilst being an interesting person to talk to practice. Worth the hour drive to come see her.

Fantastic experience: Amazing, fast and professional service. Had a serious accident during Xmas period and these guys were the only guys open near Gosford. Dr Sharma repositioned my tooth same day and root canal done was done a few months later at the right time. This was my first root canal too and was a seamless procedure with virtually no side effects or pain. The dental assistants and front desk girls were very professional also and offer patient centred care that exceeded my expectations. Thinking of moving my whole family over to these guys now. Keep it up VC Dental!

They are extremely gentle and understanding. I was particularly impressed with how I was not made to feel guilty about the state of my teeth and the planning process is good. Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Woodward and his team. From start to finish they looked after my daughter. My daughter, age 6, actually enjoyed the experience and looked forward to returning. I was able to stay with her throughout the short lip tie revision prodedure and the staff called the day after to make sure all was well.
