Fantastic experience: Just finished an appointment with Dr Oliver and it was one of the best experiences I've had for what is known to be a daunting procedure. Absolutely no pain and communicated all the way. Almost made it look too easy. Will definitely recommend to family and friends

Fantastic experience: Having a positive dental experience is not something I thought of as being possible until I discovered DB Dental in Joondalup. The Dentist was very friendly and professional, he explained clearly what he needed to do and as he was completing the large filing he continued to update me about the progress. I also liked that he was very courteous with his dental nurse always asking her for tools and whatever he needed using please and plenty of thank you along the way. I highly recommend DB Dental.

Fantastic experience: I usually dread going to the dentist and only go when I absolutely have to. But on this occasion, I must say it was the best experience I’ve ever had. I only needed a small filling, but the dentist’s empathy, gentle approach, and the way she talked me through the procedure made such a difference. For the first time, I found myself starting to relax a little more in the chair—something I never thought I’d say about a dental visit!

Negative experience: Receptionists and dentists lack basic human decency. Reception didn’t even greet me and looked at me like I’ve ruined their day for simply coming up to them. Dentist didn’t even greet me and was super unfriendly. They do not discuss prices and will give you an x-ray and cleaning without mentioning its over $300. Money hungry and rude. Do not go here unless you want to be treated like dirt and ripped off. Only smile I saw was when they handed me a $2000 quote.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy every time I visit DB Dental Joondalup. Reception staff are always friendly and helpful. Dr. Maki and her assistant work so gentle and professionally, always providing amazing dental service, explaining after procedure how properly take ongoing care of teeth and gums. Highly appreciate this team and Joondalup Db Dental clinic.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service from the ladies at the reception, they are so rude on the phone. I haven’t had a single call that has been pleasant. Customer service is not their thing for sure, if I could I would give cero in the review. If you can track conversations please listen today’s call (22th July)at 4:28 pm and listen how rude the person was on the phone. I had to ask her to put me through somebody else who may have a better customer service.

Negative experience: Waited 20 mins past my appointment time. Still no show of the dentist. I had to leave due to other commitments very disappointed. I won't be back. I will miss Dr Maki though.I am still waiting the outcome of the investigation it's been 4 weeks

The receptionist were all lovely. I was seen by Dr Nimra Tahir. She was absolutely amazing. Explained everything she was doing, making sure I was comfortable. Fitted a new crown. Very professional. Negative experience: My appointment was with Dr Amol Dabholkar to replace my gold filling that came out, which I had. It was only glue and 15 minutes maximum but was charged $330 I've no idea why pricy...because I guess they see gold and think...charge her up... Dr Dabholkar on initial meeting looked scruffy with his long untied back hair. Put clean gloves on but then used his computer which I thought was unhygienic as he then put his hand in my mouth. First thing he said was 'no guarantee on this' which he said twice. Furthermore, the assistant nurse was pinching my lip with her tools I did say I feel pain on my lip area. After the 15 minutes treatment to glue back my filling. I got as far as receptionist ran my tongue over area...rough, and a ledge of glue bulging out at side...I said "sorry I don't think this is right' so she asked if I wanted to go back I said 'yes'. He did have to drill the glue off, sorry but he should of checked his work, my take on it is 'incompetant, costly dentist...avoid

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my local DB Dental to see Dr Oliver Ward at DB Dental Joondalup where he performed a root canal. Being a little nervous they gave me a low dose of a relaxant and ten minutes before going in Dr Oliver Ward came to see how I was. I had no pain and was very comfortable. They were very punctual and very caring. I can highly recommend DB Dental and especially Dr Oliver Ward.

Negative experience: Receptionists were great at scheduling and were very friendly but had the worst dental experience in my 40 years of existence. Sorry but that's not an exaggeration. The dentist who handled me had heavy hands, probably because I was a big guy. I'm not someone who complains a lot during a procedure but It was obvious that I was already wincing and almost gagging from my own saliva and the dentist wouldn't even bother asking if I was fine. He was trying to chat about personal things though, a bit of small talk that I didn't appreciate at all. After my filling replacement + dental cleaning was done, I was fine for a few hours because the local anaesthesia was still working. After it had worn off, I had the most annoying achiness and sensitivity in my tooth that never resolved for 2 weeks. I gave it a week initially to see if it improves. When things were not getting better, I had to contact the clinic again and was scheduled with the same doctor after another week. That was 2 weeks of discomfort, mind you. When I came to see the dentist again, I was given an option to wait for weeks or even months according to him, to see if it improves. REALLY? I came on a Sunday just to be told this? Of course I said I can't wait for that long as I am struggling to eat and do my normal stuff. I was even hinted by the dentist that my appointment time was short and I had to decide right away -- something that turned me off further. I felt like there was no accountability to what he did to me, making me feel it was normal and even telling me that something more sinister might be happening -- something that wasn't present prior to the procedure he did to me. So on my 2nd visit, the dentist did eventually replace the filling again. Same manner and another agonising procedure. I was better afterwards but my tooth is still sensitive and was still worse than it was before. I am not sure now whether to go back to this clinic with a different dentist or move on to another one. My wife goes here as well but she had a better experience. Being a health care professional myself, I just had to make my thoughts known as I find this to be a concerning situation that the owner should be aware of.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom teeth extracted last week by Dr Fell. The professionalism of Dr Fell and the receptionists was impeccable. I felt very taken care of and that I was in good hands during the whole procedure. If I had any queries during my recovery time, the phone was answered promptly and the staff answered my questions with empathy and clarity. I’d highly recommend coming to this dentist for wisdom tooth removals. Thank you DB dental!!

Fantastic experience: I am an extremely nervous patient but found my dentist Josh & nurse Jane to be extremely supportive & kind. They made a huge effort and showed me a lot of empathy & kindness to help me relax before & during the procedure. Negative experience: Terrible experience with the receptionist. I rang them to reschedule my booking . And then they told me my dentist is not available till months away. I did ask to change but immediately after I just told her to give me one moment to think about it , but suddenly they hang up my phone call and gave away my appointment . Unbelievable. Our conversation is not clearly over so they shouldn’t do or they could call me back to confirm.

I finally found a Dental practice that catered for my needs of care, affordability, friendliness and professionalism. I highly recommend this awesome practice. Fantastic experience: Oliver made me feel at ease and the procedure was painless.

Fantastic experience: The dentist makes me so nervous! Want to see a woman in her 40s cry? Sit her in a dental chair! But the staff did everything to make me feel comfortable - offering to change the tv channel, put on some music and suggesting to bring headphones next time. They were so accommodating to all my small requests to help put me at ease (regular spit breaks, talking through the process etc). I feel they are committed to good workmanship and doing the best for their patients. Even though they couldn't fix it all today as the job appeared more complicated once they got in there, for the first time I'm not worried about going back!

Positive experience: I have been going to this practice for a while, and Dr Maki is exceptional and so is receptionist Emma. Over the past couple of months however, i have found the other receptionists to be quite rude and has sadly ruined my positive experience thus far. I find that Emma is such a lovely receptionist, she is extremely helpful, the others, not so much. I had an appointment recently, the receptionist was rude, and being on front counter, it is extremely important to be a positive face to customers, this lady was not and asked me to fill out an update patient form even though i had an appointment in January. I gave my health fund details at the end of my appointment, and she didn’t help me to get a quote regarding my health fund (even though i requested), nor did she offer to book my next appointment. I called 10 minutes after my appointment to book, the phone didn’t get answered and nobody called me back. Everything else regarding this practice is amazing. But the customer service on reception needs to change. Receptionists are the face of the company, and when they are negative like how they have been from December until now, it makes me not want to come back to the practice. Again, Dr Maki and Emma are lovely, but please tell the importance of being friendly and welcoming to the other receptionists. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: DB Dental, Joondalup continues to provide a most efficient, professional and specialist health service. My first experience was in 2006 after returning from overseas for a short time needing some major dental surgery. The treatment then, as today, was and is patient orientated and sensitive to my dental treatment needs. As you can work out, I keep returning after nearly 19 years.

Fantastic experience: Broke a front crown & they managed to fit me with another dentist next day. New crown replaced same day. I suffer with clostraphobia so I found it difficult to control my breathing while my tooth was being worked on. The dentist very calm speaking helped sort of. Welcoming & helpful admin staff.

He pulled a tooth out than two other dentists couldn't In less than 10 mins with zero pain. Thank you so much, I traveled 60 Mins from south of Perth and wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks again!

Negative experience: Terrible experience with the receptionist on duty yesterday lunch time. Had to go back after my treatment as I had noticed there had been a black spot that had been clearly missed. This experience in itself was bothersome but when I entered the clinic and told the receptionist this, instead of informing my dentist, she asked me to show her my teeth and simply told me I will be fine since she couldn't see what I was talking about. I found this incredibly unprofessional of her to do and out of line for her to say such a thing as it was not up to her to provide such an assessment especially when there is actually a spot. This experience had made me incredibly uncomfortable and has dismayed me into coming back.

Fantastic experience: I'm no longer anxious about going to the dentist! Dr Ryan is amazing!!!! I saw Dr Ryan for a root canal recently, and let me tell you.. It was an awesome experience. I had been terrified and I was holding the nurse's hand all along, but it was actually all so smooth. A round of applause to how passionate and warm the team at DB Dental is... At DB was the first time when I had the positive experience anyone deserves at the dentist. Dr. Ryan was super patient and gentle, communicated every step of the procedure to me and made sure I was doing well, taking breaks for me to rest, making the journey calm and comfortable. There is a little discomfort while you are sitting at the dentist, but I was eventually genuinely relaxed. I could've taken a nap, honestly. DB Dental is super professional and thoughtful. Great communication, and flexible re-scheduling and paying options. To whoever is reading this, trust the process, and it's much easier than our minds can make it look like!! Highly recommend DB Dental and Dr. Ryan... A big thank you!

Fantastic experience: Being going here for 14 years. Once had a wisdom tooth pulled out by Dr Chia so quickly and effortlessly that the job was done before I thought it had even started.

Fantastic experience: Dr Ryan Butler did a great job with a difficult crown that had become infected and needed redoing. He kept me informed all the way through the process and made sure I was comfortable at all times. I'm optimistic of a good outcome!

Negative experience: Do not recommend this practice!!! They never let you know what your costs are before your treatment and always ask you to take it up with the insurer. Which in fact I did and my insurance company was kind enough to waive one month fees due to this practice unscrupulous charges. Please be aware that none of the children’s treatment are ever discounted or waived at this practice which is quite the norm at most other dentists. For instance I have paid a gap of $80 for a fissure sealant for my 9 year old which was completely free at banksia grove dental practice for my 13 year old… also Kerry the practice manager who responded to my written feedback had nothing to say except that my policy was not the right fit for me and that I was completely wrong on my facts that most dentist waived the gap payments when it came to children. Plus also it was un realistic for me to expect that I be informed about the gap payment before the treatment and be given an option if I choose to do proceed or not. Will never go back to this practice and this is after giving them about two years of grace and zillion opportunities to correct themselves after my multiple visits…

Fantastic experience: A special commendation to Dr Ryan Butler. Not only is he excelent with what he specialise in, his mannerism, professionlism and keeping his patient informed constantly instilled my confidence and ease of mind beyond expectation.
