Positive experience: Generally, a good service. There were a couple of aspects that seemed like an expectation from the servicing dentist. Taking x-rays that were not required straight away or even asked. This could have been a referral from previous dentist and One of the x-rays on next visit. The summary and overall expectations of the services required were too quickly explained and not enough time for processing clearly what next service maybe. The rating indicates some improvement. Overall, a lovely office/ reception space and ambience. Thank You

Fantastic experience: It was my first time at BUPA Dental port Melbourne and I was really surprised. It was a totally different experience from any other dentists I had been to. From Seb on the front counter to Jamie (dental hygienist?) it was great. Every step along the way was fully explained (as opposed to dentists or other health professionals who lack communication skills and don’t take along with what’s happening. Jamie was great and provided lots of information about what’s happening and why!! And Dr Renata was fantastic too. Very professional and explained everything so well. I left knowing the plan for the future and I am actually looking forward to going back!!! Who can actually say that about their dentist? Then there was Seb on the way out. He was So patient and professional and took so much time answering my questions, some no doubt silly or repetitive he did not let that stop him being informative and helpful. Oh, and the facilities were all modern. A great experience which should be the standard for all but sadly isn’t . Ps I can’t believe I wrote all that about a dental clinic!

The team is not only friendly and positive but also highly experienced in their respective fields. Despite living 45 minutes away, I would still choose this clinic over others.

Fantastic experience: The teeth cleaning process went well. Toni and her Team did their best to make the process less painful. Felt some discomfort after the anaesthetic wore off but after 48 hours, I could eat without feeling pain.

Negative experience: Most unsatisfactory. I had an appointment at 0800 arrived at 0755 front doors locked , pressed the buzzer no verbal response from staff, another pt said they may have unlocked the door, I tried and yes they had- poor customer service . I have a mobility impairment - requiring the lift to the next floor above, i could Not gain access to the lift initially, after repeatedly pressing the call button gained access. Then once in the lift, doors closed and the lift would not elevate after the floor required was requested. I had to press the open door buttons to get out . I called up to reception no reply, I struggled then to climb the flight of stairs gripping the single hand rail to be greeting by two people having a lovely chat and giggling behind the counter . If it was not for my dentist Bilal I would not be returning . In fact I’m looking at alternatives for both myself and my husband whom is a pt there also. So very disappointing, what happened to respect and customer focused best practice?

Negative experience: not happy. went for cleaning, only half of it was done, dont really understand why. the plan for fillings should have been send to my email, but no. the plan overall looks strange comparing with my previous dental check.

Fantastic experience: Had my 4 year old daughter have a check and a clean. Dr Bilal was excellent and has a wonderful way with children. My daughter was at ease and the entire experience was painless. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic experience: Best dentist in Melbourne!! I've been going here for about 20 years. Renata and her staff are fantastic. I tell all my mates to go here. I joke that they all have very small hands. However I experience very little discomfort when I go. The equipment is all cutting edge (no pun intended :) their manner is always friendly and reassuring.

Negative experience: Experience was abysmal. Booked on line to have my bottom teeth checked due to becoming sensitive. Attended my 10.30 appointment, I was meet by hygienist asking me about my appointment for my teeth clean, to which I replied that was not what I booked appointment for Office Manager agreed that my online appointment had notes explaining my condition. And all she could say is we close tomorrow. Did not actively try to find a another appointment or try another bupa dental facility to get me in. All she offered was a D spa number. To in the off chance might get an appointment prior to Xmas. I would not recommend Bupa Port Melbourne to anyone and will post my experience on Port melbourne face book page.

Fantastic experience: Bupa Dental are amazing? I have really sensitive teeth and the thought of a clean with air and water makes me shudder. I hunted around a few years ago for a hygienist that uses the old fashioned tools and is gentle and considerate and I found Dr Hussain who is unbelievably caring, thorough and the best! Thank you!

Our initial reason to start going here was because our favourite hygienist, Siobhan, moved to Melbourne MD. I was sad when she went to a different role, though my new dentist, Dr. Bilal, turned out to be FANTASTIC. I couldn't have asked for a better person to look after my dental needs. He is so caring and has the softest touch - I've never experienced a filling so relax! I will continue visiting Melbourne MD as long as Dr. Bilal sees me. So happy!

Negative experience: This has been my dentist for years & I am happy unhappy with the service lately. Constantly cancelling my dental cleans last minute, asking me to change my appointment because of “family emergencies” and then we change the appointment to a time that better suits them and they cancel on me ON THE DAY due to another excuse. You will very rarely see the same dentist, it’s just whoever is available that day.

I had barely sat down when dental nurse Alex came and collected me to take me into see Dr. Bilal. My experience only got better from there. Dr Bilal And Alex make a great team, consistently checking in with me and making it a more informal feel.
