Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at NMD for over 6 years, and have gladly recommended Dr Galina to many of my friends and family. Professional, friendly, reliable service, and reasonable prices. I used to hate going to the dentist, but Dr Galina and her wonderful team effortlessly put you at ease. They've helped me establish a completely different relationship with my teeth. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Terrible service and overall experience. My filling fell out in a month after a treatment by Galina. She refilled the tooth but claimed that it had happened only because I "overbrushed" it. I barely touched the tooth with my brush afterward (it is a wisdom tooth so it's not that hard to ignore it when brushing), but the filling fell out once again in four months. Galina insisted that I had to pay the price of a new filling because she was sure it was my fault. She said again that I "overbrushed" it even without looking at my tooth, just over the phone. No other solution was offered. In my opinion (and in line with many other dental clinics), it definitely should be considered a warranty case. I refused to pay the full price and went to another dentist. I wish I did it from the very beginning. Definitely not recommended. P.S: It seems that you can also clearly see the level of their service by just reading their not-so-friendly responses to other negative reviews here.

Negative experience: Dear Mr/Mrs, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my recent visit to your clinic for seeking a second opinion about my wisdom teeth treatment. Several aspects of my experience were unsatisfactory, and I believe they warrant serious attention. Below are my concerns: 1. Over treatment with unnecessary X-ray : During my appointment, after a brief examination, the dentist requested that I take an X-ray, despite my informing her that I had an X-ray taken approximately one month ago. Although I agreed to sign an authorization for you to retrieve my previous X-ray from my former dentist, I was still asked to undergo a new one. This unnecessarily x-ray seems to be over-treatment. Please explain why was it necessary to perform another X-ray despite my recent history, and what are the potential risks of repeated X-rays in such a short period of time? As I am planning to conceive soon, I am particularly cautious about unnecessary radiation exposure. This has caused me considerable concern for my health and future pregnancy plans. 2. Failure to Communicate Costs and Billing Issues: At no point during the appointment was I informed of the cost of the X-ray, which turned out to be $130 (my old dental charged me $90 with much more clearer image). Furthermore, when I first arrived at the clinic, I asked the front desk if my Medibank insurance would cover the cost of my treatment. The response was vague, stating that it would depend on my insurance plan. However, after my consultation, I was told that Medibank would not cover the X-ray because the interval between the two X-rays was too short. This was never clearly communicated beforehand. Additionally, I had to pay $80 for the consultation while my previous dental clinic charge me $50 with much more satisfactory experience. The lack of transparency regarding these costs is deeply frustrating and unprofessional. 3. Medibank Coverage and Potential Misleading Practices: When I paid, the front desk informed me that I could not claim the X-ray because of the short interval between the two X-rays. I would like clarification on whether the denial was truly due to the time gap between X-rays or because your clinic’s services are not covered under Medibank in general. As a patient and consumer, I rely on clear information from the clinic, especially regarding insurance coverage and costs. I am concerned that there may have been misleading information provided, potentially enticing patients like myself to receive services under the false assumption that their insurance would cover the costs. This could be perceived as deceptive practice and consumer fraud if patients are intentionally misled. 4. Service Wait Time: While this may seem minor compared to my other concerns, I was left waiting for 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. When I asked the front desk, I was told that the dentist is never on time, which I found quite disheartening. I only saw the dentist for about 10 minutes, yet I spent the remainder of my time either waiting or finalizing billing details. For a 3:00 PM appointment, I did not leave until around 4:00 PM. I request a formal response to these issues in written, including a detailed explanation of why a new X-ray was necessary, why I was not informed of the costs in advance, and clarification about your clinic’s relationship with Medibank. I would also like to discuss the possibility of reimbursement for the X-ray, which I believe was unnecessary. I look forward to your prompt response to this matter. Sincerely, Grace

Fantastic experience: Third dental clinic I tried in Melbourne and is the best. Professional doctors, fresh equipment, high quality materials, and friendly staff. Highly recommend the doctor Alena Brichko, who is a high class professional.

Negative experience: Just went to the clinic for a general checkup and clean with Galina. It ended up with $525.5 bill. First of all, they can inly accept actual card to claim insurance. I have to claim it myself. Strange. Even digital card does not work for them. Secondly, Galinda mentioned at least 4 teeth needed to get filling already after 2 min check on my teeth. I have been seeing a specialist for one of the teeth a few months ago. He never mentioned anything. Thirdly, Galida took me to x ray and kept saying I need get crown for one of the teeth, but the truth is that tooth already had a crown which I have done just less than two years ago in a clinic and even the specialist commented that the crown was well done. Can you believe this? Another crown on top of crown? Btw, the x ray they charged $137 for 30 seconds and did not mention the cost to me before hand. Also one foam she used during the crown also charged for $47.5. Did not mention any of the extra cost during the process. After my experience, I would not recommend anyone to go there for two reasons. 1) her incapacity for being a dentist 2) the clinic is only interested to rip off people whenever they can.

Fantastic experience: After suffering for years with debilitating jaw pain and headaches from clenching and grinding my teeth, I am no longer in constant pain thanks to the team at New Millennium Dental. When Dr Galina recommended Invisalyn to fix my bite, I was hesitant at first but I am so glad I took the plunge and did it. Not only do I have straighter teeth which is an added bonus, I no longer require physio, dry needling and Botox on my jaw to cope with the pain. The Invisalign stopped my grinding instantly and the results were life changing so much so that I cried when it was time to stop it. Dr Galina and the team listened, put me at ease and came up with an individualised plan which has been working perfectly for me. Negative experience: Recommend getting a second opinion before proceeding with treatments here. I’ve already had braces and was just looking for minor cosmetic work to neaten. I was told I would need at least six veneers at a cost of ~$9000 to achieve this and that there was no alternative way to do it. I got a second opinion. Not only did the second dentist NOT recommend veneers due to the damage that would cause my perfectly healthy “young” teeth, but also quoted me $1000 for a simple 1 hour treatment with composite that was reversible if necessary, so no damage to my teeth. Not a fan of this place. Reception staff were lovely though.

Negative experience: I was quoted $5.5k for Invisalign and other dentists quoted me $3.5k. $2000 difference!!! I've been informed by other dentists that it is against recommended protocol to charge same price no matter how many aligners are needed. I do not recommend this practice as a result.

Fantastic experience: Excellent and Experienced , my daughter had a metal ring stuck between her two front teeth and the dentist managed to get out without too much drama. Great work guys!!!

Fantastic experience: Firstly, let me say that I have an extreme phobia of dentists and have had this phobia for many years. In the last few years I have had a bad tooth and couldn't decide if to pull it out or to get a root canal. The situation got really bad when in January the temporary filling fell out and I had to act fast. I found New Millennium Dental when searching for BUPA dental providers because a friend suggested to find someone that my private health insurance would cover. And I'm so glad I did! You see, in the last 2 months I have made 3 visits to New Millennium Dental and I am so glad that I listened to my friend and did my due diligence and research to find them because Dr. Alena Brichko made me feel so safe despite my phobia. In fact, I was actually excited about my most recent trip to complete the root canal. Dr. Alena is a complete expert at her job and she approaches everything quite gently. My root canal was a very difficult procedure that went for nearly 3 hours and she did such a good job! I am quite impressed and extremely thankful that I found her. I also want to thank the receptionists for being so knowledgeable. You made me feel like I made the right decision even before my first appointment. If you're looking for a dentist, I would recommend New Millennium Dental.

Fantastic experience: From Tanya (at Reception) through to Dr Alena (operating the tools of trade) and Rahata (Dental assistant), New Millennium Dental surpasses a level of service (and service quality) that is representative of their moniker. Even the most complex of treatments feels like a breath of fresh air, notwithstanding that most dentists leave you with a clean mouth. Worth its weight in gold, or gold fillings (if they still used gold). Highly recommended by a lifelong customer.

I thought it was time to add another glowing updated review about the great staff here, because they truly deserve it! I have just finished another course of treatment here today, and like usual, have been superbly looked after. Galina (my regular dentist) is an amazing professional dentist, and an equally lovely person. The rest of the staff here, well what more can I say, awesome!! Truly a great clinic in all aspects!

Negative experience: I have been told I am able to use Medibank when I booked an appointment for annual check up, when I paid for only check up, clean and xray , they charged me more than 250 out of pocket, saying they are not medibank provider and not able to claim for free annual check up and clean, and can't use 30% cap, instead ,i have to pay 70% , and saying i should ask clearly when i make the appointment, well, i may not use the exact word" provider"but i made quite clear inquiry. I may not the expert on dental insurance, should they know better than me?Or just pretend not knowing the difference ?
