Fantastic experience: I was on holiday in Cairns for a few days when part of a dental filling broke off. Because of the many positive reviews, I decided to go to this dental practice and it was definitely the right choice. After a phone call, I got an appointment the very next day with Dr. Ri Gautam. She listened to me carefully and explained the next steps in detail. I felt very comfortable and well looked after. Dr. Gautam took plenty of time for the treatment and was extremely professional. Thank you for the excellent care!

Fantastic experience: I was on holiday in Cairns when my teeth started aching. The this-isn't-going-to-be-good kind of ache. After a couple of days of hoping it would go away, I gave in and searched for a dentist office with excellent reviews. When Total Care Dental came up in the search results with more than 200 five-star reviews, I thought, "No business or service is that good!" But, after reading the glowing reviews (which all sounded legitimate), I decided to take a chance. Well, folks, Total Care Dental IS that good! They managed to make room to see me the same day I called (although that's probably not possible everyday) and I met with Dr. Ri. She listened to me carefully. She asked many questions to uncover clues to the root (no pun intended) of my problem. She took a panoramic xray and photographs of my mouth; did a thorough physical examination of my mouth, face and neck area; and took a second "close up" xray of the problem area. Over the years, I've been to multiple dentists in several regions of four different countries. Most of them have been quite good, but none of them were as thorough nor attentive as Dr. Ri. If you are in the process of finding a new dentist, my advice is: stop researching and make an appointment. Besides being competent (most important), she is very nice. I can't imagine that you will find a better dentist than Dr. Ri.

Fantastic experience: On holiday one thing you hope won’t happen is a dental emergency. If something does happen - like a broken crown - you feel helpless. In Cairns we saw DENTIST on a window across the road. It was closing time, but the receptionist was immediately welcoming and helpful and within 10 minutes I was being examined by Dr Tony Nguyen, X-rayed and advised. This was service I hardly expect at home. I had total confidence in Dr Nguyen’s expertise and the atmosphere at the surgery - including a complimentary chair massage! - was reassuringly professional. Fantastic experience: The best experience at a dental clinic my entire life from the wonderful and kind receptionist to Dr Sarah and her nice assistant always been super anxious about going to the dentist but the whole process from Booking to getting my tooth extracted with a nasty abscess was so smooth and easy that I will definitely recommend to everyone. Even post tooth extraction was a breeze because they send you home with detailed instructions on “Do’ and Dont’s”. Will definitely be back in 6 months after my 2 weeks review.

Fantastic experience: Made a call to book for emergency extraction on Monday morning. The lovely Belinda said will call me back if there was a cancellation. I had been in soo much excruciating pain the night before like a nail was drilling in my ear!!! Yep...not kidding!! She called me back and I was ever soo greatful!! Upon turning up I filled in form as first time patient and waited to get called in. Upon meeting Dr Meg Gilmore she ran through some X-rays explaining everything that I actually could understand and gave me CHOICES I could make! I have had an extreme bad experience with last dentist and was filled with dread n anxiety!! No body likes going to the dentist!!! But Dr Meg was soo awesome she didn't cut the BS and would let me know its gonna hurt but will be OK. She's clean cut, thorough and quick I didnt even feel or know she had pulled my tooth out! Long story short. It's been 6days and I have not needed to take any painkillers nor had any other problems just did the salt water rinse 4 times a day every day. I got abit sore 4days later and I panicked abit thinking about going to ER but realised I had food stuck in socket so did a good rinsed out and all good. I'm impressed this is the first time in my life I have never had to go to ER or needed any antibiotics. I would recommend Dr Meg to EVERYONE, she's clean cut and thorough even hearing Belindas voice when calling to book an appt. Is reassuring!!! The staff are super great and super caring!! I'm just glad that there was an cancellation soo thank you to whoever cancelled!!!

Fantastic experience: I called bang on 7:30am on Day 1 of my holiday and from the minute Bel answered the phone, I felt the worries of spending my entire trip in pain drift away. She was so attentive, friendly and made sure to get me in as soon as she could. She remembered me when I arrived and got me and my partner comfortable in their amazing massage chairs while I waited for my appointment. Dr Tony and the nurses took great care of me and reassured me what I thought was something sinister was nothing to worry about, sending me on my way with a mouthwash after showing me the photos taken of my teeth and talking through his findings and advice. I'm now on Day 3 of my holiday and eating delicious food without any pain. I wouldn't be so scared of my dentist appointments if Total Dental Care were local. Absolute superstars.

Fantastic experience: Having had a really bad experience with another dentist about 7 years ago, have been very reluctant to have my teeth checked since. I saw online that Tony had great reviews about being gentle and empathetic, so I decided to give him a go. He was incredibly patient and reassuring the whole time and constantly checked that I was completely ok. From the time I walked into the office until I left, I was informed of everything that was going to happen while I was there. I did get a though examination and my teeth cleaned and there are a couple of teeth that need the fillings replaced and I will have no hesitation in going back to get Tony to do this work.
