Fantastic experience: I had my two wisdom teeth removed with Dr Rama Chockalingam a few weeks back and eveything went well. The receptionist staff were all friendly. My regular dentist suggested I see an oral surgeon to remove my wisdom teeth as it was in close proximity to the nerves. However since Dr Rama is highly skilled and has many experiences in complicated extraction, he was able to do the procedure. I’m pretty sure that contributed to my quick recovery. I highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: Dr Thomas is absolutely amazing, he is very skilled at was he does, I went for composite bonding fixing, to make it blend in with my teeth and he did just that, I am so happy with his work. Dr Thomas listens tentatively, provides options with pros and cons. I feel so lucky to have meet Dr Thomas. The prices are very reasonable too. Clinic is clean and receptionist staff are kind and responsive.

Negative experience: If you're looking for a dentist who genuinely cares about kids, do not go to Fine Smiles in Footscray. I will say their receptionist Jane is lovely. But the problem begins with their dentists and their attitude towards working on children. The problem isn’t that they won’t work with children; it’s that they don’t understand or care about them. I’m baffled at how a dentist can turn away a child in pain and still charge for the privilege of doing so. My 6-year-old was in distress, but instead of showing any empathy, Fine Smiles basically told me to go elsewhere. If you want to be seen by a dentist, pray your child is some kind of mythical still calm child. They would not even do an x-ray. I then went to another local dentist—not a pediatric specialist as insisted by fine smiles —who managed to see my son that same afternoon. They did everything Fine Smiles refused: x-rays, a calm approach, and even two fillings with zero issues. My son, who they claimed was "too anxious," was fully compliant. So much for that claim. I was not looking for a quick fix or a cheap solution. I was looking for empathy and kindness. My son wanted someone to fix his pain. Fine Smiles is more concerned with making sure conditions are "perfect" rather than addressing the reality of a child in pain. They want to wash their hands of anything that’s remotely challenging, while a little patience, empathy, and care would’ve solved the problem that same day without the need to wait 4 weeks or spend thousands. They're possibly great with adults, I don't know and don't care to find out. Ultimately, It’s clear: Fine Smiles doesn’t care about children’s well-being; they care about not being inconvenienced. Maybe Jane can teach the dentists about how to work with children.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this place. You will be greeted warmly by Jayne who has been running front of house for many years. Dr. Eugene is exceptional. He is very gentle and careful in his approach to ensure his patients experience is as positive as possible. I am currently doing a root canal with Dr. Eugene and he made this procedure very easy so far. Dr. Kevin helped out recently in an emergency consultation and was equally professional.

Negative experience: It was the worst experience. I found out after I got my retainer done. and the person who made my retainer did a terrible job and I have Aphthous Ulcer after I use only one day I've tried to tell them. that it's distorted And they say they don't take responsibility for anything after they've done it. I paid almost 1500 they should be more responsible.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time at Fine Smiles Dental and I’ve already booked my next session! Dr. Kevin Huang was my dentist and he did an amazing job! I can’t recommend him enough I’m always anxious of going to the dentist as the teeth cleaning always hurt my gums as they are quite sensitive. However, Dr. Kevin was so efficient and careful, that I felt no pain in my gums. The awesome tunes was also a big bonus! I really appreciate the time he took to explain the photos and x-rays of my teeth. You could tell he really cares for his patients. Overall had such a good experience so definitely will be recommending this clinic and Dr. Huang!

The dentists were also very candid about what my options were and what the prices were which I also appreciated. Fantastic experience: I came here for a second opinion as I was experiencing jaw pain after finishing Invisalign and switching to a retainer. I was having trouble eating and sleeping and was extremely stressed. I had been seeing a different dentistry clinic previously who didn't believe my retainer was the issue. Dr. Loi took the time to patiently listen to my concerns, answer all my questions, and adjust my retainer for me which has thankfully resolved my issue. Life is back to normal again and I'm so relieved. An added bonus is that the receptionists here are superstars too! I'll be coming here for all my dental needs in the future.

Negative experience: Although the clinic’s facilities & condition are decent; the dentist showed no interest in caring for the patient — I had my mouth forced open with a very painful device that my lips bled & my jaw hurt for another week or so; I wasn’t even given a choice or chance to take breaks. In addition, the dentist was late with the appointment they gave me (though i came on-time). Such terrible experience!

Fantastic experience: Had an impacted wisdom tooth and was in severe pain at around 5 40pm on a Friday afternoon - my partner called Fine Smiles Dental and they were able to fit me in straight away even though they were closing at 6pm. The receptionist was very kind and caring and the dentist was gentle and transparent - had the tooth pulled out in about 10-15 minutes and it was a completely pain free experience. Came out absolutely stoked because I was immediately out of pain - would highly recommend!

Had a clean which was quite gentle and not as painful as cleans with other clinics. Definitely plan on returning. In terms of the other staff at the clinic, Jayne (the receptionist) was lovely to chat to - also love her energy! The dental nurse was also very nice and sweet.

Fantastic experience: I didn’t have great experience when I took my first wisdom teeth out a few years back. Recently, the other one start bothering me, I was recommended to Fine Smile dental to get it done. Dr Eugene and Vy were taking great care of me throughout the procedure and make the whole process very pleasant. Negative experience: $190 for a clean, insurance reimbursed $114. These guys arn't worth it, they also keep suggesting I get mouthguard for $600, even though other dentists have said it's not required

Jane at the reception is one of the most delightful people I have ever met in my life. Negative experience: Dreadful. My filling hurts after getting it and it is sharp and misshapen. When getting the procedure done, the dental assistant kept pushing the tubes into the sides of my throat and hurting me. So I went to another dentist who confirmed bad work was done and had to pay more to fix the rough work. Not to mention their exorbitant pricing structure (different for every dentist, to boot). Jessie is the best employee there, as the receptionist, but pray you don't have to deal with the other receptionist Jane who is unreasonably nasty. If you want considerate, reasonably priced and good quality work -- go elsewhere!!!
