Fantastic experience: The whole experience from checking in with Reception staff through to the dental checks was a great experience. Dr Anna was amazing with our 3 children - engaging , professional & ensured the experience was “kid friendly”, stress- free & even exciting. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Thr doctors here are usually good, but this time the dentist overcharged considerably! My 4 years sons dentistry usually costs $60. Apparently there is a discount for children but the sum can vary and is never disclosed. Our last appointment for 5 minutes of wprk cost $100! We complained to no avail and was given the reason as the doctors can charge what they consider appropriate. If you require dental work go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Our family have been patients of Dr Madhu Hazari for our medical appointments for many years and we very highly recommend. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to investigate and explain options throughly. We have also recently starting seeing Dr KC (Dr Kumaran Chandran) for our kids dental appointments. Dr KC and his team are exceptional and so is their aftercare service. They take the time to explain procedures in detail and we’re great at helping the kids feel happy and comfortable.

I had some big work done today but I soon lost the anxiety. The dentist and compassionate assistant were so professional and comforting, I actually started to fall asleep on two occasions. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this dentist surgery. My dentist was very lovely and reassuring. He calmed my fears and reassured me he can help me. I had a tooth extraction that was quick and painless. I didn’t even feel the needles to numb the area which is a first. He came up with a plan to save some of my teeth instead of just pulling them like my previous dentist would of done. I’ve had previous bad experiences with dentists in the past. My previous dentist was arrogant and verbally abusive that’s why I avoided him afraid to go to the dentist. This dentist is the best dentist I’ve ever had and I’m not afraid to go to the dentist anymore. I wish I’d found this dentist sooner. I very highly recommend this surgery.

Fantastic experience: My little Miss 8 is terrified of Dentists and has been since she was very young. The Dentist here was absolutely amazing, lovely, patient and kind. He also gave us all the information we needed and took the time to assure us and answer all our questions. The dental nurse and receptionist were wonderful too and made our experience here an easy, friendly and stress free one. Highly appreciated after some awful experiences in the past.

Fantastic experience: Mount pleasant and their partner dental clinic at ooralea are absolutely fantastic. They have both taken great care of me and my kids.

Fantastic experience: Dr Marcus was calm and kind, explaining everything that was happening. My 14 y/o daughter had a baby tooth that needed assistance coming out. The team arranged an xray ahead of the appointment which meant that Dr Marcus could talk us through some other things to keep an eye on (eg a baby tooth that has no adult tooth to replace it). Thank you team.

Dr Marcus is lovely, he is welcoming and thorough in his Dental work that I needed. In regards to explaining what is going on, with attention to preventative and general oral hygenie practices. Highly reccommend both Micaela and Dr Marcus Mcshane!

Fantastic experience: Dr Marcus is always very caring and gentle. He is friendly and makes you feel at ease. Dr Marcus does his best to ensure all dental procedures are painless. His dental nurse was also attentive and very nice as was the Micaela at the front counter. I had a back molar pulled out with virtually no pain.

Fantastic experience: I have just had my wisdom tooth extracted at the Mt Pleasant Dental and Dr Channapati and the staff were very professional and welcoming. The reception staff where very pleasant and proficient in the role Dr Channapati and his dental assistant were very professional and for the first time in my life I felt relaxed and reassured. Dr Channapati explained the process of extraction which left me feeling confident but still a little uneasy due to passed dental extractions. For the first time ever my tooth was extracted without any pain at all, I mean nun. Even the needle to numb the gum was painless. I will be returning to have future dental work done here at the Mt Pleasant Medical and Dental Centre. I can highly recommend this dental practice, Dr Channapati and his staff. Regards Hilton Bond

Negative experience: Very un happy to book an appointment and they ask me is it for medical or dental and I state dental because I have a bad tooth, rock up for my appointment to be told I'm booked in the medical side and now they can't help me till the end of December, thanks alot for nothing

Fantastic experience: It was our daughters first experience at the dentist today. KC and the staff were so amazing and accommodating as our daughter has Level 2 Autism and we didn’t know how she would go in this new setting. She grinds her teeth badly as apart of her ASD and had concerns around this, however KC was amazing, reassuring us, as well as making her feel comfortable and getting her to be apart of the process, holding the mirror and electric tooth brush. By the end she was giving him high tens and loved leaving with a special dentist pack and stickers. Thank you for making our visit i as stress free as possible.

Positive experience: I have recently arrived in south Mackay to live and was pleasantly surprised how friendly most people are here. I have found my visit to the dentist very pleasant and informative . A plan in depth was discussed with my dentist Casey my questions were answered satisfactory.

Negative experience: I had an appointment book, but after 1 1/2 hours waiting with a 5 month old I had to go. I went to the desk (a few times) during the wait to ask and was told the doctor was running late, then only one more patient, then computer error.... I understand that this happens but 1 1/2 hours is ridiculous.

Negative experience: In my opinion I was very disappointed with these doctors as I had my 20 month old in for an appointment he had high temperatures and was coughing a lot was extremely miserable, we we’re running only slightly late, I made a call to let them know and they said they can wait 5 mins till I arrive I made it in the time frame and was no later and they turned around and canceled my appointment, I had a 20 month old who desperately needed to see the doctor and I find this very unprofessional after my son was very sick and they turned us away. I rang around to other surgeries desperately seeking some help the only surgery in Mackay who ended up fitting us in was One stop Medical they were amazing and tried to help out where they could and fit us in to see a doctor after 4pm, they were fully booked but went above and beyond for our situation. Would only recommend one stop medical I wouldn’t waste your time with these doctors they can’t be bothered helping.
