Negative experience: Better not rely on Ms. Kumar. I had pain in my lower left molar and thought it might be a cavity, so I went for an examination. She said, “You already had an X-ray taken a year ago, so I won’t take another one for you.” But then she insisted, with 100% certainty, that it was not a cavity. I asked her several times if she was sure, but she only kept saying that my wisdom tooth was pushing against the adjacent tooth, and that was the cause of the pain. Later, when I went back to my home country and got re-examined, it turned out to actually be a cavity. Unforgivable.
Fantastic experience: Easy to book, plenty availability, got an Xray and the right expert advice. My dentist was very gentle and warm. Can recommend!

Fantastic experience: Many thanks to Dr Rhema who extracted 4 teeth for me on 2 different occasions, in the bondi and cbd locations. I had been stressed about my wisdom teeth for years and finally got them removed, Dr Rhema was incredibly calm, yet fast and thorough. Getting 3 wisdom teeth (including 1 which was laying horizontally and needed to be removed in multiple pieces) removed in about 20 mins flat (additional time in the chair for the anaesthetic and consult but the actual tooth pulling only lasted 20 mins) with no pain or complications afterwards. After hearing many horror stories about wisdom teeth removal I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth my experience was. Pricing is competitive and the fact that xrays and aftercare notes are provided in the app is much appreciated. I think I may be finally getting over my lifelong fear of dentists. The calm, non judgemental demeanour of the dentists, assistants and receptionists helps a lot.

Negative experience: I got two fillings from two different dentists and I regret going to them. One tooth has a pain that wasn’t there before I saw them. The first filling had to get redone because the filling was placed across two teeth preventing me from flossing. I requested a different dentist to fix it. The second dentist didn’t seem happy to redo the first dentists’ work (she also had to add another filling to another tooth). After my second visit for the repair of the first filling and the addition of the second filling, my jaw was in so much pain after, not from the filling but from how rough the second dentist handled my jaw. It has been months after the repair of the first filling and addition of the second filling and I have a pain that I never had before. If I chew something in a certain spot, I get a sharp pain throughout the side of my teeth. At my second check up, they told me it was because the filling wasn’t filed down enough - so they filed this down, but I still get this pain, and I can feel something like cement stuck between my teeth that was never there before. Honestly, the worst dentist I’ve been to - they are certainly cheap but still not worth it. 1 star for having an app that is easy to use I guess.
Fantastic experience: I’m giving this 5-star review not to praise a perfect experience, but to get proper attention for my case at my Monday 4:30 PM follow-up, and to respectfully ask the clinic to please look after me carefully going forward. I had a root canal done by Dr. Ndukwe, who was quite rushed during the visit. He mentioned I was the last patient of the day and he needed to finish quickly. He told me pain would settle slowly, and my next session could be in 2–4 weeks. I trusted that and left quietly, expecting recovery. But within two days, my condition went horribly wrong. I experienced the worst pain of my life, along with facial swelling, fever, and constant throbbing. The pain became so intense it felt like it was hitting my brain and facial nerves. I could not sleep, eat, or function — it was a truly horrible experience I never want to repeat. I tried to book a follow-up urgently over the weekend, but no dentist was available, so I had to see a GP who prescribed me antibiotics. Thankfully, that gave slight relief, but the trauma of this week has been overwhelming. I am not here to blame anyone — I understand things can go wrong in the medical field, and I know nothing is ever 100%. But after spending so much money and trusting the process, this level of pain and suffering is not something I expected. I am begging the management and dental team to take this seriously, and to please prioritise me properly on Monday. I cannot go through another week of this. I have no intention of bringing the business down — I’m giving 5 stars because I understand that complications happen and I respect the work you do. I just want to be seen, heard, and fixed properly, because what I experienced was not normal, and I honestly don’t have the strength to go through that again.

Negative experience: I’m reaching out to express my growing concern with the recent experiences I’ve had at Dental99. I've been a loyal patient for years and have always appreciated the quality of care—until recently. Following a difficult and ongoing issue related to my wisdom tooth removal, I returned for a routine teeth cleaning on May 2nd, which lasted from 2:55 PM to 3:08 PM. Unfortunately, the appointment fell well below the standard I’ve come to expect. No flossing was done, not all teeth were thoroughly cleaned, no after-photos were taken, and no X-rays were performed. This experience felt rushed and incomplete, and frankly, I left with more concerns than when I arrived. A 12-minute cleaning is not consistent with the comprehensive care I’ve previously received. I would appreciate a call from someone on your team to discuss this matter and clarify the level of care that was provided.

Positive experience: Quality of the facilities are what u would expect for a $99 flat rate dentist so can’t fault them too much. Dr Patel could maybe work on his communication skills a little BUT he is also very competent and did a really good job cleaning my teeth which is the main thing

Negative experience: I had an appointment at Bondi Junction for JUST cleaning with Danielle Lederer and 8 hours later, my whole mouth is still full of blood, there is lose skin on one spot and all of my teeth are hurting. This has never happened before - I got cleaning done multiple times and even when I got my wisdom tooth our where they literally had to cut the gums open it stopped bleeding after half an hour. I can't open my mouth to talk (yay for Zoom work meetings) and have dry blood on my lip because it won't stop bleeding. I contacted their support and was told this is 'completely normal' and when I asked for managers contact details Chloe Murphy who seems to be the clinical coordinator for BJ told me she is the 'manager' (she was also the one telling me this is completely normal). Not professional at all and definitely not worth 100$ - my dentist in Bali did a MUCH better job for 25$.

Fantastic experience: Weird to say but… I’d say I love going to the dentist after this experience . From the second that I passed the door, everything went super fast! Easy self check-in, staff members are very nice, I didn’t even wait in a room, the women at the entrance took me straight to Dr Tejus Patel after doing a quick x-ray. I did not feel any pain, during the appointment and after. Congrats guys, you made me change my mind with going to see a dentist!

Positive experience: I initially had a terrible experience with a Dr that did not give me enough anaesthetic and whilst trying to give me a filling damaged the nerve, honestly the most painful experience of my life. Some months afterward I began to get tooth aches. I requested another Dr and thankfully met with Dr Bansal. He was an absolute gentleman and a top professional. Over the next few weeks he gave me a root canal and crown. There were complexities with it that he consciously walked me through. He made sure that the the best job possible was carried out. Consulting with his colleagues as necessary. Whilst it was a fixed fee for the treatment, he seen me on several more occasions on his own accord to ensure the best outcome. Dr Bansal deserves 10/10 all around.

Fantastic experience: Got a check up and clean done and then my wisdom tooth out here and can’t recommend it enough. Dr Bansal was amazing and after a previous bad experience with getting my other wisdom tooth removed at a different dental clinic I was very nervous. He made me feel at ease answered all my questions and was very honest and made sure I understood everything. I got the OPG X-ray done and then another 3D x-Ray as the tooth was close to the nerve, they clearly want to do the very best for the patient and I really felt like he went above and beyond and was very professional I felt in safe hands. The procedure was very smooth and the aftercare I received was very good. I had follow up appointments all included in the price for the procedure to ensure everything was healing okay. They also have a live chat on the app that you can message in relation to your aftercare and they will call you to follow up. Would definitely recommend dental 99 to anyone - this experience has made me feel a lot better after having had experience with dentists in the past.

Negative experience: Do not recommend going here. I've been to the clinic three times; two check-ups and once for a filling. My last check up was a year ago and I got told I needed to get a total of 7 fillings done. I left the clinic almost crying. I decided to get a second opinion at a better quality dentist in Vaucluse. I was relieved to hear I thankfully only needed one filling. It saved me a lot of money and messing about / unnecessary work to my dentals. Ironically the tooth with the decay was the one previously filled by another Dentist at 99 Dental. Also, the mirrors/lights each time were not cleaned and full of drip marks. You get what you pay for! Two stars because they have a very handy app which gives you access to your X-rays
Negative experience: Well Its hard to tell because I drove all the way there and the dentist Alex Jazbeck did not show up to work. So I went all the way there for nothing. Not even a message warning me not to waste my morning.
Negative experience: Fine if you need a quick check up and clean and don't have any other issues. I went for a routine check up, got advised I needed 5 fillings (I'd never had a filling before, so this was a surprise). I was experiencing no pain or issues prior, however, had increased pain and sensitivity following the fillings and they just wanted me to go on and have further treatments. The $99 gets you in the door, then it starts to add up.

Negative experience: Tried it but I won’t go back. Treatment is in a cubicle, not with a dentist but an “oral health therapist”. There is no nurse on hand to do the suctioning and I had to keep adjusting the sucker myself. I was splashed in the face with so much spray it was ridiculous. The glasses I was given to wear were not proper protective medical ones but a pair of ladies fashion sunglasses that were dirty and I had to ask that they were cleaned first. The clean and fluoride treatment I received for $99 was probably ok value for money. But it felt like a loss leader mechanism to move immediately to a “treatment plan” that advises much more work to be done. There’s no way I would feel comfortable having anything more complex done at this place.

Fantastic experience: Lauren, not sure if she's a receptionist/admin staff, has been really helpful with my concern. It proves her expertise about their software and she's really understanding. She didn't hesitate to help me with my discount issue in the city branch and she did it easily, unlike the other staff in the city. Negative experience: Dental 99 is a complete CON. It might seem cheap and sound appealing at first, but you get what you pay for, terrible service and unethical practices. My friend has been a number of times and always they have always been made to pay in advance for their next visit, so that it was guaranteed that Dental 99 would get more money out of them, FURTHERMORE, they got the patient to sign something which they didn't understand and the patient doesn't even get to have a copy of, which they understood to be words to the effect of any faulty treatment will have to be fixed by Dental 99 at the patient's expense. From the very beginning my friend told me how the Dental 99 dentist kept on telling them how this tooth needed a crown and that tooth needed a new crown...and that one needed a new root canal and so on & so on, when my friend did not believe this to be the case. This kind of behaviour is as bad as DODGY tradies who try to rip you off. This organisation are no better than a bunch of crooks in my humble opinion. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY GOING HERE, you'll end up worse off in the long run. These people need to be reported to the relevant medical authorities for their deceptive practices. Obviously there is some sort of directive from the management to get their employee dentists (who as some people here have mentioned here are very likely fresh out of dental training) to get as much money out of patients, be it by doing shoddy work and putting pressure on unsuspecting patients to come back again for whatever reason - BUT ALWAYS TO PAY IN ADVANCE, so the damaging cycle continues,. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Many of these 5 star reviews could in all likelihood be fake google accounts created by the management of Dental 99, or their staff or other people connected to them.

Negative experience: It was my first time using Dental 99 and I wouldn't recommend and I wouldn't come back. I was a little bit late due to rain and traffic, but it didn't matter. I was seen 15min after I arrived. My appt was at 3:30pm, I got there 3:37pm and was seen around 3:50. It is okay, it can happen. But then my procedure was done in a rush, I felt the cleaning was done with no much care and the rest of the procedure I don't want even to comment. Well, I think I wasn't lucky as I can see a lot of good reviews.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I had to come here and not recommend it. I went to Bondi Junction and the doctor said it would be just a filling she was happy with the job and confirmed it wouldn't turn into a root canal. After that, my tooth became so sensitive and ached that I had to go to a specialist and now I have a $4k bill. Even a cleaning was rushed and not perfectly done. It is not worth the price!

Fantastic experience: Overall had an amazing experience. Booking through the app and checking in at the clinic was convenient. Dr Tejus did my treatment and he was very professional. He talked me through the whole process and made sure I was comfortable and pain free. I was honestly hesitant about it at first. But after my experience, I’m definitely coming back! Highly recommend.

Negative experience: This company only allows bookings with an app. They have arbitrarily restricted the app to be downloaded to Australian Google Play accounts. Anyone whose Google Play store is set outside Australia cannot download the app. This restriction is completely unnecessary and essentially means temporary visitors to Australia (or those who mostly live overseas) cannot use the service.

Negative experience: Booked an appointment for here on the app but the booking went through to Gregory Hills. Only realised this once I was on site. No doubt I'll still be charged for it. Unacceptable. No number to call either.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Dental 99 at Bondi Junction and I am very impressed. Everyone there from dentists to assistants were very kind and attentive even though my problem gum was a much bigger job than first thought. They did the job to the end despite me requiring attention for over an hour and a half, two dentists at times and numerous x-rays. So very thankful they did not shuffle me out to make way for the next patient but made sure the job was done. No skimping on time, care or resources, their professionalism and commitment to affordable dentistry must be commended as they do it so well. Top quality service at an excellent price. Thank you all at Dental 99 Bondi Junction!
