Fantastic experience: I had an accident that damaged my teeth, and Dr. Kent has been helping me every step of the way. From the beginning, he was kind, patient, and reassuring, making a stressful situation much easier. He explained everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. After treatment, I now have a new crown that looks and feels amazing. I’m so grateful for his care and highly recommend Dr. Kent to anyone in need of dental treatment!

Fantastic experience: I went in to see Dr Kent Boon and my experience was exceptional. He made me incredibly comfortable as did his dental assistant. He was knowledgeable about what I needed to do in order to fix my teeth without over charging me. I’ve been searching for a new dentist since mine retired and I think I’ve just found the perfect replacement. I’ll be back in a couple of weeks for further dental treatment. Would highly recommend this place amazing technology and such kind people.

Fantastic experience: Knowing I wouldn't last till Monday with significant tooth pain, I google searched Sunday Dentist in Sydney and Kita Dental was the first shown. Was able to book online, describing my problem, and received an excellent filling with trusting and thorough service from Dr Kevin. I''ve avoided Sydney Dentists for 20 years, but now I'm confident Kita Dental in Mascot will be my go to.

Negative experience: Went in to check out a wisdom teeth issue. Booked and quoted for 4 wisdom teeth removal for $1700. On arrival the plan we agreed on was to remove 2 on one side to start with (top and bottom) before discussing whether or not to do the other side. We finish the bottom one and I’m told there’s another patient waiting so even though I wanted to remove the top, we couldn’t do anymore and I had to rebook for the afternoon. It took 60min - Understand that it can be a complex removal but if they originally had planned to remove two (or 4) then why book someone so close to my appointment? I was then charged $1250 for the removal of 1 tooth. And was told the quote is actually $1700 for just the left side. They are taking the absolute piss that I’d be required to pay $3400 for removing 4 wisdom teeth Poor organisation and high pricing. No chance I’ll be going back. My poor decision to go here but a note for others when considering

Fantastic experience: I had to get a wisdom tooth removed today, and honestly, this was by far the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I was stressing out on the phone, and San was so kind—he listened to me vent about the pain I was in and made an immediate booking. Before I knew it, I was in the chair for a consult. Dr. Kent was an absolute superstar. So kind, empathetic, and patient. He understood the trauma I’d had from previous dental clinics and took the time to really walk me through everything. He let me know exactly when I’d feel a pinch or hear a noise, which made such a difference because I was terrified. The whole procedure was quick, and the prices were really affordable too. Thank you to the amazing team at Kita—you guys were incredible.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic staff - Fantastic Service. I ended up booking into Kita Dental over the Christmas period when I suffered from severe dental pain. Dr Boon was incredibly patient and professional with me and handled my dental anxiety wonderfully. At each step of treatment I had my options carefully and thoroughly explained, with no pressure or expectation of treatment. The equipment is state of the art, the OPG is elevated to CT level, allowing Dr Boon to identify other areas of concern that my regular dentist had missed so that I could be mindful when engaging in daily dental hygiene. I could not be happier with the care shown nor with the technology, skill or professionalism of everyone involved in my care.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been anxious about visiting the dentist for a long time, but after experiencing severe pain, I made a last minute appointment with Kita Dental. I ended up having a tooth and a wisdom tooth removed, and their professionalism and care were outstanding. They alleviated all my fears, explained everything clearly, and made me feel completely at ease. My anxiety, which was through the roof before I arrived, disappeared thanks to their calm and supportive approach. I can’t thank them enough and highly recommend their services and I’ll certainly be a repeat patient.

Negative experience: Visiting Kita Dental has been the most regrettable experience I've had. I recently went there due to discomfort in my tooth after accidentally eating something extremely hard that caused a pinpoint-sized stinging sensation. Despite this, my tooth appeared normal, solid, and complete, with no ongoing pain or abnormalities. During my checkup at Kita Dental, dentist Kevin Rung suggested further investigation, assuring me it would take just a minute and no procedure would be done without my consent. Feeling pressured by the urgency conveyed by both Kevin and San ( the clinic owner), I agreed to local anesthesia, naively assuming it was purely for pain prevention as I had experienced during the cold test. However, I was completely shocked when I saw a large chunk of my tooth chipped away on his instrument table after the investigation, leaving me bewildered. When questioned, they claimed it was necessary for the investigation and that my tooth couldn't be saved anyway, which was not true at all. Another dentist I consulted afterwards revealed that my tooth has now been irreparably damaged and is non-restorable. Had my tooth structure remained intact (i.e no procedure had performed by Kita Dental), there’s a 90% chance a crown could have sufficed. I could even choose to do nothing at least for now if I wanna go ahead with the conservative method. Unfortunately given the current situation, I'm facing the necessary need for an implant, which also ironically aligns with Kita Dental's specialisation. The oversold damage, sales-driven approach, and aggressive treatment on my tooth without consent, resulting in irreparable damage to my tooth, are far from expressing how traumatized I feel about the experience. All I can say is that, as a professional myself, due to my visit to Kita, it has significantly diminished my trust in the dental industry and the profession. Follow-up: Hi Kita Dental, I found your response rather surprising, particularly in how you have portrayed me and the situation. More importantly, I trust that you are fully aware of the future expectation that APHRA and HCCC have clearly outlined for Dr Rung and the practice, which was omitted from your response.

Fantastic experience: Being in the Dental industry for over a decade I've never come across such an amazing Dental practice, Dr Kent was excellent, firstly I was accommodated at such short notice due to an accident.Dr Kent was thorough with my consultation and took his time to explain all the possible treatment options available for my circumstance. I live in NZ and will continue my dental treatment at Kita Dental as this was the best experience and exemplary dental service I have received thus far.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to the dentist in years, but my recent visit to Kita Dental was fantastic. The location is very convenient, just a short walk from Mascot station and the retail precinct, which made getting there a breeze. The team made me feel incredibly comfortable from the moment I walked in. I especially appreciated the stain removal spray – it was something new for me, and it worked wonders on my coffee stains without any discomfort. Thanks to the excellent care I received, I am actually looking forward to my next dental appointment. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great dental experience!

Fantastic experience: Dr Kevin Rung and Dr Kent Boon allowed my partner and I to have a great dental experience at their clinic. Dr Kevin Rung in particular fixed up a chip in my partners tooth and both dentists walked through the whole process with us. Overall, they're very knowledgeable, hospitable and have taken great care of us. They say an apple a day keeps the dentist away and it looks like I won't be having apples anytime soon.

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Kita Dental and Dr. Kevin Rung enough! I chipped my front tooth quite badly, and Dr. Kevin did an absolutely amazing job restoring it. He made sure the filling perfectly matched the color of my other front tooth—you can’t even tell it was damaged! My previous dentist had done a filling that chipped again and looked greyish yellow, making the difference in color very noticeable. This made me pretty self conscious whenever I smile. Thanks to Dr. Kevin, I now have the confidence to smile again! His professionalism and friendly demeanor really calmed my nerves during the procedure. Fantastic experience: Dr. Kent Boon and Kita Dental really helped me out during what could have been a disastrous start to a trip to Australia. On the flight over from LAX to Sydney I split a tooth down the middle. I was able to make an appointment the next morning, and chose Kita Dental because of the good reviews and the close distance to my hotel. Dr. Kent Boon was very knowledgeable and within an hour he had removed the loose half of the tooth and built a temporary cover. He also prescribed antibiotics in case an infection resulted. There was no infection and within a week there was no pain at all. A month later I am back in the States and my dentist said the work done was excellent. I rarely write reviews but Dr. Kent Boon deserves every bit of this 5 star review.

Fantastic experience: One friday night I was suffering extreme pain due to a wisdom tooth that I never had removed. I managed to book an appointment at Kita Dental the next day and they accommodated me nicely. Within 45 minutes a consultation, CT scan and the extraction was done smoothly. My previous experiences at other dentists was that, an extraction could only be scheduled after the consultation and scan which would take roughly 1 week. They are priced reasonably and keep you informed with transparency with what you are paying for. They also take very good care of you in emergency situations. Would definitely come back

Negative experience: Yesterday, I went to the dentist. I complained about the pain I felt at the bottom of my right ear, and the pain on my gums. Afterwords, I took the wisdom tooth out. I have some complains about her treatment. First, she did not examine the rest of my teeth and just focused on one tooth. Second, she did not do cleaning for the rest of the teeth to prevent spread of infection. Thirdly, the cost was too high and unreasonable. She just took the wisdom tooth out without cleaning and examining. But the tooth had no cavity, grew straight, and had no problem on my jaw nor on chewing. The gum was just swollen as my body was weak due to a cold. Now, I know I just should have done cleaning and check-up without loosing the precious tooth.

Negative experience: Had an appointment with Dr. Kent Boon for a dental cleaning and examination, and the bill amounted to $471.50. 1 The dental cleaning lasted only 10 minutes, and despite repeated confirmation from the dentist that it was sufficient, I had concerns about the brief duration. The dentist's technique was good though, and the procedure was relatively gentle. 2 Dr. Boon took X-rays and used expensive cameras to capture photos of my teeth. However, they declined to provide electronic copies of the X-rays and only allowed me to take pictures by using my phone. 3 I appreciate the dentist's professional knowledge, but when discussing the treatment plan, it felt somewhat sales oriented. They were reluctant to provide a estimate and required repeated requests before disclosing the pricing. 4 The overall maturity of the team seemed lacking.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to Kita Dental more than 6 times in the past July and August to remove my wisdom tooth & also to do a root canal. The decoration was very relaxing and every doctor/assistant I’ve met was super kind, helpful and efficient. They’ll always give me a pair of sunnies to protect my eyes, and on the wall there’s a tv playing some documentaries of the grand mama nature. If u’r nervous you’ll be given a bun jellyish toy (could be 2 buns sometimes) so you can relax even more. All the doctors care extremely about how you feel, they make sure that there’s minimal sore/pain, they‘ll always tell you what’s the next step, and they’ll explain what to do after all the treatment with the most patience. A great appreciation to Doctor Kent, Doctor Melody and Doctor Fiona and all the staff members!

Positive experience: EDIT: Amazing customer support and reassurance that the issue has been noted and addressed. Not even 5 minutes after posting the initial review I got a call from San at Kita dental, they informed me that the dentist I saw no longer practices at Kita dental!! I am leaving this review here as it is still my experience however I am satisfied that they have taken action to stop others from having the same experience. My initial 1star review is below. Horrible experience a year ago:I left in pain, crying and never wanting to go to a dentist again, they made me believe I had no hope for my teeth so they could charge me for services I did not nee. They oversold the damage to my teeth, terrifying me for no reason which sent me into a depressive spiral. I have finally had a second opinion(different dentist office) and am disgusted by how much kita dental exaggerated the work I needed done. They quoted me $10,000 for multiple surgeries I would need immediately; after getting a second opinion most of these suggested treatments were unnecessary and not likely to even resolve my teeth issues. They also told me (21yr old) I couldn’t come back without a parent claiming I was too erratic to handle my own medical information which further scared me and also made it impossible to check if what they had told me was the correct as they refused to give me all the details. I will never go back here and recommend some changes to the staff or level of patient care if U don’t want to traumatise more patients.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to Kita Dental for seeing me last minute when I was suffering from terrible pain which felt like tooth ache in every tooth. I have never experienced this before and haven’t slept for few days and missed a couple of days of work due to lack of sleep. Both Dr Kent Boon and Dr Fiona Dang were very gentle as I am a very nervous patient. Luckily Dr Kent Boon was able to identify the origin of my aching which turned out to be a jaw issue due to high stress. He saved me from unnecessary dental work, as pain was in every tooth. Thank you so much to both doctors for being patient and understanding, and most importantly gentle as dentists are very stressful experience for me. They also had amazing Therapists for kids next door and we enjoyed listening to their wonderful singing voices!! Overall very lucky to see these professionals.
