Negative experience: Years ago I paid over AUD 10,000 for Invisalign treatment with Dr. Samson Chan at United Dental Care. I followed all instructions and attended every scheduled visit, yet one tooth turned dark and became painful. When I raised the issue, Dr. Chan concluded my tooth pulp was dying, saying I must have "hit my tooth somewhere" (which I never did). I insisted that wasn't possible and I would have noticed if I hit my own tooth. He then recommended costly Root Canal Therapy, which I declined as I didn’t have extra budget for that. Even worse, after completing my alignment treatment, I ended up with large gaps between my molars and an improper bite. I was told this was “normal” and would resolve on its own over time—but years later, nothing has improved. To this day, I still can’t bite down properly. I’m stuck with a non vital tooth and an improper bite—all after spending all these money.

From the first meeting, Dr. Samson was reassuring and helped me save my tooth when I thought I may have to remove it. It wasn't an easy fix but I felt very confident in his expertise and his team through the multiple visits. I'm personally quite scared of dentists but every trip there was made easy and I felt more comfortable than normal. I'm glad I came to Dr. Samson and his team for help when I was in a world of pain! Fantastic experience: A remnant dental root from a very old dental surgery was causing pains in my gum whenever I used my denture. A surgical extraction of the root was immediately performed. The surgery was rather complicating as fragments had to be meticulously removed. Dr Samson Chan performed a humongous effort to resolved my problems with great skills. I am very happy for what he has done. I would highly recommend anyone to look up Dr Samson Chan if you are in need of a good dental specialist.

Negative experience: I went there yesterday just for the dentist to go on about how much acne I have around my face which was super unnecessary and had absolutely nothing to do with my dental clean, also charged me close to $500 for a clean and scans which is nothing close to what I’ve paid in the past. Do not go to this practice, absolute scam Add on/edit: the dentist mentioned nothing about allergies/switching to different gloves, he just kept going on and on about how much acne I have and wouldn’t stop bringing that up. It was extremely rude and made me very uncomfortable. Also $460 is a lot of money for what I got done, most places wouldn’t go over the $300 mark.

Negative experience: Really weird experience. Went for an emergency appointment thinking I had an infection as well as Wisdom tooth pain. He was adamant there was no infection but that I needed my one wisdom tooth extracted. I wanted to wait and made an appointment with a doctor and another dentist. While I have ended up having my wisdom tooth removed I also had a major infection and ended up being put on two different anti biotics. The behavior in the appointment was also super strange. Kept touching my arm and telling me something like thank you for coming in. When I had my x ray I mentioned I had metal bonds for my hair extensions in he said I didn’t them because I was already really pretty. Then after made me have a photo for ‘ID purposes’ I’m stood in agony no idea why they needed a photo. All very weird. Wouldn’t recommend at all. So glad I got my removal done elsewhere and sought more advice regarding infection.

Fantastic experience: Had an emergency visit for my son over Easter weekend. The office fit us into their schedule at 6:30pm an Easter Monday. The doctor did a thorough exam and eased our mind about flying home the next day.

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COST. Absolute rip off! This was back in 2015 (invoice ID 43196). My toothache hurts so much and after inspection nothing was found by Dr Qasim Shahid. I was charged 55 dollars. I then get a second opinion from another dentist elsewhere, only to find out one of my wisdom tooth has gone very bad.

He was very kind and patient and did an excellent job fixing it for me. The surgery was modern and clean and it was worth the drive all the way from greater western Sydney! Fantastic experience: Had an emergency repair carried out by, the most charming and professional team ever. (No hard sell)Two days prior to our arrival in Sydney,one of my previously filled back teeth, literally came apart, in the departure lounge, I wasn't In pain, but it needed fixing , before It became an issue. I googled a few dentists near to where we're staying. This one came highly recommended and i can see why. Dr Chan explained everything in easy to understand detail, even the cost. Yes things are expensive here, compared to the UK, but peace of mind is a price worth paying, skill and experience is in that cost too, that's what we tend to forget. Shame I'm only here on a short trip, otherwise I'd have all the follow up work he recommended, ( crown and implants)done at that practice.

Negative experience: Because my toothache hurts so much that I contacted them that night hoping they could relieve my toothache,hopefully they can give pain killer at least straightaway but not!and I was charged 180 dollars after the 20 dollar discount was only a fee for them to be able to handle my problem and at that time they were closed, Then I was followed up with an x-ray at a cost of 420 dollars, and doctor Chan keep knocking my teeth and showing me the various videos and keep playing for more than an hour he played from YouTube and made sure to also say that my teeth had to be removed because that was one way, but that was just a lie he and his way of getting more money. I said give me 1 or 2 days to consider it. It turns out that up to 3 months my teeth don't hurt anymore Luckily I didn't follow what he said to pull out my teeth because I would lose mine and give him more money, be careful those of you who want to go there, their trap is big!!!Be aware!!!!

Negative experience: Horrible experience wth wisdom tooth extraction. DO NOT GO! The doctor was late for my appointment and he was prioritising other patients while told me to wait in the room. He had terrible skills with taking out my wisdom tooth, and got four other assistants to come and help which freaked me out. On my return visit he was supposed to check my wound but he was too busy attending other customers like always and got a younger dentist to check my teeth. I don’t feel valued at all as a customer and not to mension the price I paid for was very high too. He obviously hurt my bottom nerve because part of my tongue is still numb 6 YEARS after the extraction! He gives out gifts to customers to provide 5 stars reviews for him. DO NOT GO!

Negative experience: As I read in one of the reviews bellow, completely agreed with that. Be aware with the doctor and the nurses here, they just keep showing you videos on YouTube instead of actually doing something on your teeth. At the end is just a trap many pictures and videos for nothing and they didn’t do anything actually in your mouth, after 1 hour and a half of wasting my time they gave me a bill of almost $500 dollars, lucky enough I didn’t agree to do the procedure with them otherwise they will of take more money from me, the prescription the doctor gave was not even good, went to another dentist the following days and the consultation was less than half they charged me and the doctor said the prescription wasn’t correct, and that I didn’t need the procedure they wanted to sell me ‍♀️ might be the easiest money they earn for doing nothing! I guess we learn from this experiences to don’t be too innocent and don’t trust this clinic and people like that, just be careful you can go to better doctors and pay less than a half they ask you and don’t waist your time! Hope you enjoy easy money, karma exist!

Negative experience: 1st appointment.Bounding post and co .. Doctor chan doing really job!!! 2nd appoitment I choose $200 for filling but he do the $300 one! After ask him why, he said that better and he didn't hear I choose the $200 one,the dental nurse said don't be to stingy and also receptionist said we give u the good price already and best treatment. They give me $20 discount But even they are the good one or the best one, they can't do that to customer, need to ask what they want and is that a good price for customers too, cause dental clinic not only one in the city

Negative experience: Overpriced, pushy service and unprofessional - Mr. Chan is not the best choice for those who want to get rid of their toothache. He asked me to extract my wisdom tooth while it was swelling, and the price he quoted was $700/tooth (excluding consultation and X-ray). Rip-off!

Negative experience: 这家店专坑华人，在这里预约了，到那里等了半小时。向前台询问价格都是置之不理，但问医生马上就告诉你了。还会很烦给你上课问你家庭信息，问你职业，给你拍照做记录，这和看牙有关系吗？然后要拔牙了，先给你打一半麻药，跟你说拔牙要700刀，然后跟你说要签同意书，让你不得不支付昂贵的费用进行拔牙，简直是手术进行到一半，问你要钱，如此恐怖的地方，试问还有哪位头铁的人敢去，去了我觉得就是拿自己的生命开玩笑。而且上面的评论多半不真实，严重怀疑是他们自己评论的。那个医生听说还出现过感染事故，我是看完牙才知道，希望自己不会得什么疾病，这个地方简直可以说是九死一生，想想真是后怕。

Negative experience: I advise people to be careful with them. The dentist asked a lot of irrelevant personal questions and was unprofessional. He showed me videos of gum diseases and made my condition seems to look more serious than it was actually. He was giving me some presentations that I didn’t really need to see as a patient. I was like in a conference with the dentist writing on the board trying to sell his unnecessary services. The dentist had too much time on hand. All this is just to make you feel your condition is serious and requires a lot of treatment. It’s their selling techniques. My gums were infected because of stones and tar. The dentist suggested that I may have to come 5 times to get all of it cleaned. I have never in my entire life had to go to a dentist 5 times just to do a cleaning. But when you are in the situation with the dentist telling you, you need this and that ( which you don’t really need) you tend to fall into the trap. The dentist keeps adding on services such as x rays and photos. You realise it after you have paid a bill of over $1000. A simple cleaning turned into several complicated steps on the bill. But they are actually the same steps that any dentist will do for a simple cleaning which would cost 10 times cheaper. If you want to try their services, have a go and you will see for yourself. The dentist looks nice but BEWARE!!! That’s a lesson for me. I believe that experiences like this make us become smarter. It’s all good for a life experience
