My Dentist Blackwood

Fantastic experience: My long-term dentist (who I used to visit regularly in the Adelaide CBD) retired and since moving into the Adelaide Hills a few years ago I wasn't sure where to go as I have some specific dental needs that require specialist support. My Wife and kids visited this clinic after trialing another one in Stirling and were very happy. I was encouraged to visit. The team at My Dentist Blackwood are super professional and have since helped me to transition across and support my dental care. Very happy with my decision.

Fantastic experience: I made the switch to My Dentist Blackwood over 18 months ago, and I’m so glad I did. The team treats you with genuine care, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The new facility is modern and equipped with the latest technology. Give them a try—you won’t look back!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful practise!

Fantastic experience: Hands down the BEST scale and clean I’ve experienced in my life (I’m 40 and have had quite a few!). One whole hour was allocated for the thorough clean, state of the art equipment was used and every step along the way was explained clearly - what was being done, why it was necessary and how it would be carried out. My favourite part was when this purple dye was applied to show old plaque vs new plaque to guide the cleaning process. There’s a real sense of patient involvement, you’re not just sitting there being poked and prodded at. Tina and the team are wonderful, the level of genuine patient care and attention to detail is outstanding.

I have never felt more comfortable in a dentist chair in my life! Could not make a better recommendation for a dentist.

Fantastic experience: As a person who hates injections, I will go far and wide to find a pain free dentist. When my dentist retired I had to find a new dentist. Dr Kong Yen has been amazing. Confident, experienced, knowledgeable and pain free. Uses numbing gel before injections, applies lip salve so my lips doesnt dry, always deft touch, accurate and super efficient to minimise my time in the chair. Great to find a dentist that knows what he is doing, quick and efficient and best of all pain free. The whole team is friendly, courteous and professional. Highly recommend Dr Kong

Fantastic experience: As far as dental practices go, this is the best/nicest one I’ve ever visited. The staff are absolutely lovely and always so welcoming and accomodating when it comes to re-booking appointments. Dr. Kong has been my dentist for over a year now and is always very thourough with his treatment plan and has been kind enough to discount some of my treatments due to not having private health cover. The practice itself is always immaculate and they have advanced technology that really makes you trust that the Dentists are treating you for what you need rather than just trying to make more money. I highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to Tina and her lovely ladies for my whole 24 years - I am so excited to come every time because they always put on my favourite Netflix show (Taylor Swift of course) and are always up for chat for updates on my life I’ve never felt anxious coming here (far from it) and love the team to bits. Fantastic experience: Today was my first dental appointment/ check-up since high school (5 years ago), so I was a little nervous, but the friendly staff and environment helped ease my mind. To the appointment, the hygienist (Mia) that was with me was really professional and friendly. Walked me through everything, cleaning/checkup, and the receptionist (Lyn) was wondful helping me pay and using my Bupa insurance for the first time, too. You could tell they all had my best interest in mind Highly recommend!

From the very first interaction at reception, the whole team was helpful, welcoming, kind and did a great job. The actual dentist was also very gentle and explained what she was doing to my child. Couldn’t have been more impressed.

Fantastic experience: Serving my family for 11 years with an excellent level of care the experienced dentists, hygienists, nurses and reception staff form an exceptional and compassionate team who have even extended hours & themselves in a few emergency situations to bring about relief and resolution. Dentists and hygienists are Informative and collaborative. Beautifully appointed rooms with state of the art equipment. An appointment with hygienist is like a spa treatment for your teeth!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend My Dentist, my daughter was extremely anxious and we thought she would need to be put under anaesthetic to get treatment. Dr Diana was extremely patient, kind and gentle. We now attend dental appointments with no stress at all, my daughter is now confident and not nervous thanks to Dr Diana. Also easy to get a park with very friendly and helpful reception staff.

Fantastic experience: Dr Kong Yen is by far the best dentist I've seen. After moving to the area I didn't know which dentist was best but was met with the friendliest smile at the front desk, by Lyn. She talked me through what I needed and suggested seeing Dr Kong Yen as he was super friendly, gentle and caring. Lyn is so cheerful and really listens, showing she genuinely cares, loving her job as well. Dr Yen most definitely lived up to this. With extensive training, Prosthodontics/Orthodontics, he is the one to see! He gently opened up my old root canal tooth to find decay. After opening it up and doing some xrays, he completely rebuilt the tooth. I didn't even feel the needle going into my hard palate! He has the ability to pop a new crown on if need be, without me having to see one of the most expensive endodontist again

Fantastic experience: After years not seeing a dentist due to costs, I needed a clean and my wisdom teeth looked at. Dr Kong was thorough and efficient in providing me with a range of options to suit my needs and helped me to assess what would benefit my current situation best. As a massive needle phobic the team jumped right in not letting my nerves get the best of me, and were reassuring and communicative throughout the process. Lyn and the rest of the team have consistently welcomed me with enthusiasm and care, always making sure I was set up for the best care possible. A lovely, clean, and professional space that is comfortable and welcoming, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough

Fantastic experience: First time visiting My Dentist Blackwood today after seeing recommendations on a Facebook page. I had my teeth cleaned by Hannah and Dr Diana Castrillon did my check up. Both were incredible, patient, and everything was so well explained. This dental practice is very clean and modern. I was very comfortable and relaxed, whilst watching a David Attenborough documentary on the ceiling TV. A fantastic experience.

Fantastic experience: I have been to My Dentist for myself and my children. At all times the staff are friendly, considerate and professional. The front admin, Lyn, is amazing. She's the first face you see when you come in, and makes your experience great from the beginning. She even discounted my fee for the children's visits, which many places don't do in these hard times. We have had Diane all times as our dentist. She is great with kids, and explains the procedure to them in a way which they understand. I had a check up with her and she went above and beyond trying to find a solution. I would highly recommend the clinic.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to this place by a friend after moving interstate and needed a dentist to look after my teeth. Mike greeted me with a friendly smile (behind his mask), and it put me at ease straight away. After I filled out the new patient form, Mike and I had a nice chat whilst I waited for my appointment. He also mentioned that they use the latest technology, and it was not as scary as the usual method other dentist uses. Jee and Dr. Kong was super friendly and explained the whole process, and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. Their professionalism and easygoing nature made it an enjoying experience (which is rather usual when one visits a dentist). I was there for a check-up and a routine hygiene clean. From the moment I entered until I left, the team was super friendly and welcoming. The place is clean and bright. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a new dentist.

I thought I’d finally follow her recommendation and I’m so glad I did. The receptionist was brilliant when I phoned- she really new her stuff. Dr Tina was amazing - she completely put me at ease. She did a brilliant job and I couldn’t have been more pleased. It was also a million times cheaper than going to another dentist in the local area. I will not be going anywhere else. So lucky to have this clinic in our area.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this dental practice. They are very thorough in their investigation and record keeping and discuss everything with you. All staff I’ve come in contact with from reception, dental nurse, dental hygienist and of course the dentist are very professional, friendly, compassionate and caring. I’ve had to make an emergency visit with a tooth ache and they have quickly accommodated me. Visiting the dentist is never pleasant but I’ve always felt they really care about me when I go to this practice.

Fantastic experience: I recently have changed dentist to Mike and his My Dentist team at Blackwood, following moving into the area. Their customer service, all new fitout and equipment, and professionalism has been fantastic! Mel & Helga were so thoughtful and supportive, after I hadn’t been to the dentist for a while, and explained things very clearly at each step. They have changed what was once a historically stressful experience (elsewhere), to now an almost stress-free one - which will mean regular easy check ups going forward, versus more thorough work. More than happy to highly recommend them - the best dentist I’ve ever been to.

Fantastic experience: These guys are excellent and always great to deal with. They are open saturdays which is so helpful for people who work the usual 9-5 Monday to Friday and the team are all excellent. I’ve been seeing Tina since 2005 and she has always been great to deal with.

I've had both Tina and Melissa and they're always so friendly, gentle and always explain what they are doing and why which I find both interesting and transparent. Reception staff are very friendly, warm and understanding. Highly reccomend! The new location is also very clean and modern, I don't feel like I'm in a scary hospital - and they have a large TV on the ceiling when you are lying there with your mouth open :)
