Appointments were always on time, they always went only for as long as they were booked, and if we ever needed emergency appointments they were found for the same day. Positive experience: I’m currently in treatment and have had a good experience so far. Dr. Crowther is friendly, and the admin staff and assistants I’ve dealt with have all been upbeat and helpful. I enjoy the convenience of the online booking system and the late appointment times which make it easy to fit check-ins around work. That said, I gave this recommendation to a friend, who unfortunately, had an unpleasant experience with reception; being flat out denied an appointment time that suited their schedule on the basis that this would be a one off appointment. It was a bit awkward since I’d spoken so highly of the place and their flexibility. I’m dropping a star for that reason as I take my recommendation reliability very seriously.

Negative experience: I called this practice to book an appointment to have my wire retainer repaired, as the glue holding it in place had been accidentally removed by my dentist. Unfortunately, my experience with the receptionist was disappointing. I was initially offered appointment times that fell during standard business hours. As I work full-time, I politely asked if there were any appointments available outside of those hours. Rather than assisting me, the receptionist responded dismissively, saying, “Let me tell you how our bookings work,” and explained that after-hours appointments were reserved for repeat or regular patients. The tone and manner in which this was said came across as unnecessarily rude and unhelpful. It was frustrating to be told that in order to become a regular patient (and presumably be eligible for more flexible appointment times), I would need to book an appointment — yet I was being denied a time that I could actually attend. Overall, the interaction left me feeling unwelcome, and I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism and courtesy.

Fantastic experience: I overall had an extremely pleasant experience through Edge Orthodontics with my Invisalign treatment. Appointments were easy to make even with me moving a few hours north they were able to make things easy for me. Overall really happy with the results and extremely grateful for their service and hard work.

Fantastic experience: Dr Phelan is an amazing orthodontist and an absolute perfectionist. I had a very crowded lower jaw with extremely crooked teeth that I had been self conscious of since a teenager, but now after Dr Phelan and Invisalign I have straight teeth with a much broader smile and they look amazing and I couldn’t be happier. My daughter also finished her braces treatment 2 years ago and has a beautiful smile and I will be back next month with my younger daughter to start her treatment. The team at Edge are all lovely, professional, happy to help or answer any questions and are always smiling. Nicole at front desk is always so lovely and friendly and so good at what she does. Our experience at Edge has been 10/10.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been with Edge for a few years now with two kids going through braces (one of which needed related surgery). The services are exceptional and the staff are friendly, accomodating and genuinely make the experience as fun as possible. Negative experience: The irreversible and expensive damage this orthodontist did to my son and daughter is unforgivable, they prey on concerned parents and have caused my daughter and son severe obstructive breathing disorders and now my son has to get facial reconstructrive surgery to repair his jaw from the aggressive braces. They have caused root reabsorption and now needs to have implants at the age of 18. I am currently in dicssusions with lawyers about suing them for medical negligence. DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR CHILDREN. I am so glad i was able to get a second opinion on my youngest son before I allowed them to go ahead and damage him also. If I could turn back the clock I would.

Fantastic experience: Really helpful and kind receptionists. I’m about 30 weeks into my Invisalign treatment (out of 70) - the results even so far I am am seriously impressed with. This orthodontic clinic is miles apart from the one I went to as a teenager. Nicole at reception (if I remembered her name correctly) is particularly helpful. She dealt with an issue, that while at no fault of the clinic (delay in retainer delivery), was of course frustrating for me. I left the interaction seriously impressed with the customer service and alternative options - and not frustrated at all!

Fantastic experience: A fantastic experience all round! I can’t believe how quickly and smoothly the process to straighten my teeth has been. It feels like I only just started the process and it’s already over! As someone who went through five years of braces in my teens I was nervous about more orthodontic work, but the team at Edge have been incredible. They made it a smooth and efficient process (I had the Spark aligners) and they actually cared and listened to me. Amanda in particular was wonderful and made sure I didn’t feel any pain during any of the procedures (I have very sensitive teeth) and I am so grateful for her! Thank you SO MUCH!

Fantastic experience: The staff were delightful, kind and caring. My daughter always loved coming for her appointments and having a chat with all the team. The appointments were always on time and they were great at being flexible to try and adapt any time we needed to move one. My daughter started treatment at the age of 8 needing a jaw expander and early braces to allow room for adult teeth to come through and we are Wally happy with her first phase of treatment.

Fantastic experience: Being an adult, the idea of braces was daunting. But Dr Crowther and both his dental team and admin team, all helped my Invisalign treatment and were nothing but welcoming, efficient, professional and kind. I can't believe how they have changed my teeth. Dr Crowther is a magician!!! he should win the Nobel peace prize for teeth!!. I always made the drive down from sunshine coast for my appointments because I enjoyed my experience there so much I didn't want to change. Fantastic experience: Two children are patients of Edge - both with very different treatment plans. One just finished treatment and is very happy with the results! Everything is explained clearly. Fantastic experience: We transferred to Edge Orthodontics from another practice and we could not have been happier with the service we received. The staff there are efficient but also compassionate. My daughter enjoyed her visits rather than being anxious about them. And when she had her braces removed the staff helped her celebrate and seemed as happy as she was with the very successful outcome. I cannot imagine an orthodontic practice providing better service than Edge, and I recommend them to anybody considering braces for their child.

Fantastic experience: Its is safe to say that Edge Orthodontics is the place you MUST take you children if they require any orthodontic treatment. I am still amazed at how quickly my daughter’s teeth improved and by the time the braces came off last month, they were perfect. Phoebe now has the confidence to smile in public and we couldn’t be happier with the entire service that Lachlan and the team offer from beginning to end. Lachlan is always very thorough in his assessments and explanations. The nursing team are so considerate of the children’s needs and make the experience fun for them. And the team on the front desk are so accommodating to ensure the appointments are flexible to work in with our busy lives. If you need braces or can’t bare going through braces a second time and opt for aligners (that was me!) treat yourself to Edge Orthodontics. They are awesome! Fantastic experience: Brilliant at taking care of my 14 yr old son, his teeth are perfect. Exceptional customer service, would definitely recommend to anyone!

Negative experience: Was great while having my initial work completed 5 years ago (braces). Post that, had to wait 7 weeks to have a broken wire repaired/replaced. Given the time money and energy spent getting my teeth straight, waiting 7 weeks seems wildly strange. Even though was also having to wait so long for appointments, there was only apparently 1 time available twice per week. If after care is not something that you provide, better to disclose upfront.
