Fantastic experience: On entry to the clinic the lady at the reception desk who I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name which I sincerely apologise, was extremely pleasant and professional, Like a lot of people I am very much petrified of dentists, although Dr Sona and her nurse were very caring and gentle, X-ray’s a clean and florid treatment was applied, I was then explained what had to be carried out, overall I cannot give enough positive praise to Dr Sona and the staff at DB dental Mandurah, they were all fantastic.

Fantastic experience: I just don't relax in the chair, so my dentist Steve takes extra care with numbing my gums and even vaseline on my lips. But yesterday his assistant on the suction tubes was absolutely fantastic. so gentle and no residual water anywhere. Time flew by and I was soon up and out the door without any stress whatsoever!!

Fantastic experience: This was only my second visit to this dental practice after recently moving to the area. Yesterday I had Dentist Robert. He was great. He explained everything to me clearly and gave me lots of mouth breaks whilst working on me. I never like going to a dentist but DB made the experience bearable for me. I will continue to go there from now on. Also the staff at the desk were very friendly, informative and professional. A hood experience all round. 5 ⭐️

Positive experience: I attended DB dental last Friday to have a tooth repaired/filled. The procedure took around 30 minutes to complete. Firstly, an " inspection " was carried out ie 20 seconds (cost $40) . An x ray was taken but I don't think it was even studied? Cost $40. A pin inserted ($57). Filling ($398)! Total cost of $535! When I queried the charge, I was told that HBF was the most expensive?? I know the cost of treatment has increased but this is ridiculous.

Negative experience: I went to DB Mandurah a few years ago needing substantial dental work and dentures made. I had Dr. Neeha who was absolutely amazing. As a nervous patient, she took care of me and was extremely gentle and kind. More recently I had Dr. Robert Oagle and he would be hands down, the best dentist I have ever seen. I did not even feel his anaesthetic going in. Unfortunately the team is profoundly let down by the prosthodontist. He has caused me more unpleasantness and stree the past three years than any other event in my life. He says one thing and does another, or changes his mind later and totally denies ever saying what he did in the first place. He has been complacent and quite rude, despite more than $10,000 odd dollars I have now paid them for my work. Right from the beginning, I had teeth taken out at Geoff's insistence because he wanted to make the denture a certain way. The extraction of those strong teeth was costly and traumatic to say the least.. I did not want an acrylic denture on the top and made that clear from the starf. I had my teeth removed (except for one) many months or years before hand. I was told that it was no problem then to my shock was given an acrylic. I had so many problems with it so I was then immediately told I should have got a chrome as it has a much more comfortable. So for thousands more, I went ahead and did that. When I came back, I wasn't happy because it did not fit well and the teeth were much larger than my original teeth so it looked strange on one side of my smile to have big teeth and small original teeth in the other. The lower one was profoundly uncomfortable causing blisters and putting untold pressure on my upper jaw where the big teeth collided with existing teeth. Geoff's solution was to remove the small eye tooth and have a tooth that matched the denture added to the existing denture. I was assured it was no trouble. I've waited a year and had the choice to rebuild the eye tooth as it broke off the other day. After much discussion and reassurance from Dr. Oagle, that adding another tooth to my denture was no problem, I decided to let him take the tooth, believing I would once again have an even smile. I returned today to see Geoff, thinking he would be happy because he has been in about getting that tooth out every time I see him. But no, he just told me, "it's impossible. You will need a whole new denture made or an implant. So I left, distressed I now have a huge hole in my face, I can do nothing about. This is so typical of how he has been to me since this journey began. He has been the cause of more distress and tears than any other single thing in my life, and that includes two funerals. Luckily for me I have now had two other opinions from two other denture specialists and they both say there is absolutely no problem. The dentists are good. But unfortunately the five people I have recommended to DB have all pulled their business and sought dental treatment elsewhere on account of how I have been treated and ignored over substandard service, product and treatment, despite huge amounts of money being spent. My advice is if you need denture work, go anywhere else but here.

Excellent service, honest advice, no oversells, good emergency availabilty in a tight spot when I've needed it, and a team that really seem to care for their clients. I'm not someone who loves a dentist visit, but I don't dread the idea of a couple of check ups a year at this clinic. Can honestly recommend them to anyone looking for a good dental team in Mandurah.

Negative experience: Never in my life have I been spoken to the way the receptionist spoke to me on Thursday. I was calling as a new patient and looking for advice on how much an appointment would be, I told her I had a broken tooth but unsure what I needed doing as I havent been to the dentist for a long time and I didn't know if there was any reciprocal agreements with healthcare as a UK citizen. For further content I am on a temporary visa with only health care checks covered. Usually you would expect the receptionist to advise of a consultation price and then advise unsure of further price until the dentist knows of what work I need doing, I'm not stupid and I would know this. Instead the receptionist proceeds to say 'well its like taking your car in to the garage expecting them to fix it when they dont know what's wrong' and 'well we don't know you from a bar of soap its up to you to sort your insurance out' amongst other rude comments. Safe to say, she cost you my business which would've been a lot of money. I actually burst into tears after the call which is very out of character for me, I already have anxiety as it is and this phone call was disgusting. After being recommended by a family member I didn't expect this service, im sure the dentists themselves are great but unfortunately didnt even get this far. I am now booked in elsewhere.
