Fantastic experience: Dr Rachel was very patient with my treatment. I had a very bad gum infection and she took her time to explain to me the treatment and what needed to be done. Just done the first stage of my deep cleaning and she was very patient and did everything smoothly

Fantastic experience: There is free patient parking provided at the rear of the premises accessible from Ord Street. There are very caring practitioners who don't make you feel like a number, in the way they provide the required treatment. Their appointment times are very accurate, they don't seem to overbook and end up rushing through procedures to try and keep up like other practices seem to do. I recommend this practice to all before you go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been regularly going now for several years, each time I feel welcomed and that I’m in extremely safe capable hands. I have complete trust in all the dental works I’ve had, never have I experienced any pain or had any complaints. You always reassured in knowing that you will be consulted every step of the way. I’ve never found the prices exorbitant and that I get most back from my Health fund.

Negative experience: Had an appointment at this place, I’ve been around quiet a fews times and enjoyed the dentists. However, the receptionist (with brown curly hair) was so dodgy. When I came back in, I have not seen her before(seems like they change their receptionist often enough). Lined up after another client, I was waiting - then receptionist just turned and said to sit down, no hi or hello. Just turned and said to sit down. I sit down, then she goes and says my name. I go yes. I proceeded to wait for +20mins which wasn’t the issue, I just felt a little “hey it’s running a bit late”. The main issue was the lack of communication from the receptionist. Luckily the dentist explained to me instead. After I was done, I came to the desks to see how the bill is done. We have health insurance and it was being processed. She processes and prints out the receipt, then quickly pulls the receipt back. Isn’t that not questionable? A receptionist hurriedly snatching the receipt off you?? She says that there’s some sort of discrepancy with their system and the health insurance - saying that I owed money while the receipt that I just signed saying I owed nothing. So she seemingly “investigates” and kept asking for our health insurance card constantly - back and fourth. Not explaining anything. Mind you - this receptionist didn’t greet us, didn’t update us and now is telling us that we need to pay more. You expect us to trust your word? I ask for a second party to double check what’s going on, she calls someone that run their system - then makes me sit down: her tone while talking to the other person was so one-sided. After she made the call, she turns and says that she needed call the health insurance. By this time, over 30 minutes went by and no communication has been done towards us. I lost trust. I go - how long will that take and why we have to deal with this as a customer (who’s not informed or at fault). I ask what exactly are we getting charged for - she just glosses over it and say it was x amount owed cause gap. Like you would think you can sense the frustration coming from me, you can’t show something that’s more full proof other than your words? I wanted proof that I could trust in. She goes “I’ll go get someone” as in to help with the situation, but she “gets up” and then sits right back down - not even getting anyone!! Ended up paying the full amount, won’t be coming again. OH - had to pay cash and she said “by the way, we don’t have change” - what a joke. Ended up giving them an extra dollar that’s undeserved. Get a receptionist who has basic communication skills - someone who CAN be the face of the business.
Fantastic experience: I have been attending Dr Rachel Chye for sometime now. She is great at explaining when I have any problem and what I need to do to rectify it. Very confident she will keep me on track with my gums

I have a severe phobia of dentists due to traumatic experiences from childhood. Visiting the dentist is something I usually dread, often leading to canceled or postponed appointments. However, I have never encountered a dentist as empathetic as Dr. Michael Wu. From the moment I shared my fears, he took me seriously and made it a point to understand exactly what I was afraid of. He explained what he could do to help and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. He lightened the mood with jokes and engaged in conversation to distract me. When I struggled with the idea of getting an injection, he was incredibly patient and supportive. During a slightly uncomfortable procedure, he even counted down to let me know exactly how long the discomfort would last—a small gesture that made a huge difference.
