Fantastic experience: I wish SIX STARS was an option. I HATE the dentist and I’m 22 weeks pregnant. Firstly I had to get a particularly tricky extraction, then I had to get a deep filling that could’ve easily turned into a root canal under different circumstances. On both occasions, Dr Peyravi was calm, efficient and transparent about all potential outcomes so I could prepare myself for the realities of both procedures. But THEN, his professionalism and skill meant that my tooth was extracted in one piece (SAVING ME $$$) and the filling, which was done using a complex sandwich approach, was a success and did not need to become a root canal (SAVING ME MORE $$$) Dr Peyravi is a skilled professional who values best practice above platitudes and capitalising. 11/10 would recommend, especially if you’ve had TERRIBLE dental experiences in the past.

Fantastic experience: Like many others I am terrible with the upkeep of my dental between not enough time and the usual high cost it is easy for me to forget about it all together. Until one day a problem decides to present itself and its an emergency all of a sudden. This was me on Friday night at 730 and the pain was so unbearable I was looking for an emergency dentist right away. Pure Dentist came up in my search and were able to see me first thing the next day being a Saturday I was stoked, a little worried about the pricing but had to be done. Dr Mathew and Tarly looked after me when I arrived and they wasted no time at all. I was in the chair and xrayed all in a matter of minutes then we discussed my options. No judgement or strange looks no lectures or anything it was hands down the best dentist visit I've ever had and I will be going back. The price was so affordable the work was professional they made sure I was comfortable when I left and even did a follow up the next day to make sure I was ok, not in pain, able to eat and not suffering. I really can't recommend this place enough. I feel so good with the work that was done I havent needed any pain killers or not been able to eat. Honestly it feels like everything has healed and back to normal. Thank you Dr Mathew and Tarly you given me a great dental experience with no negative effects. I'll be back without a doubt.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The receptionists were all so lovely and genuinely caring such a warm and welcoming team. From my very first visit, they kept me in the loop, checking in regularly and making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. A huge shoutout to Dr Matthews an absolute legend and total perfectionist. He made me feel more like a friend than just a patient, and his work is second to none. I’ve got a brand-new set of teeth, a brand-new smile, and honestly, I feel like a changed man. He even came in on his day off to get everything finished for me. That kind of dedication is rare. Negative experience: Absolutely appalled by the lack of care and professionalism I experienced on Sunday, 26th July at 3pm. I came in for an emergency appointment due to a dislodged temporary filling from a root canal. I expected at the very least a basic level of dental care — instead, what I received was completely unacceptable. The dentist did not perform an X-ray, didn't numb the area at all, and simply "popped" the temporary filling back in. No proper bite test, no concern for underlying issues — just a rushed, careless fix. Four days later, I was still in pain: throbbing, extreme sensitivity, and pressure that made it unbearable to even touch the tooth. Out of desperation, I went to Dental Lane in Springwood, where — unlike here — they did their due diligence: took an X-ray, identified an infection in the tooth, prescribed antibiotics, and filed down the overly high filling, which gave me instant relief. What frustrates me the most is how avoidable all this was. Had the dentist done the bare minimum — an X-ray and a proper bite check — I wouldn’t have suffered for nearly a week. Yes, it was an emergency appointment, but since when does that justify such a poor standard of care? The lack of thoroughness and basic attention to patient wellbeing is incredibly disappointing and, quite frankly, embarrassing for a professional clinic. I won’t be returning — and I strongly suggest others think twice before trusting their dental health to this place.

Fantastic experience: Grand daughter had teeth check up here. Organised x-ray and required additional surgery at day hospital, all seamless. Excellent follow up post surgery. Came recommended from local dentist as these dentist specialise with paediatric clients. Dentist was very thorough. Everything well explained. Highly recommend in particular for more complex cases in children.

Negative experience: The dentist I dealt with was lovely and well informed however didn’t get to the bottom of what was causing my issues and when I attempted to follow up, I was met with quite possibly the rudest man I’ve ever had the displeasure of interacting with. Multiple times I was told that I was ‘inconvenient’ because I couldn’t accept a call late on a Sunday night due to being at work and again when I mentioned that my only availability for a follow up appointment is after 4pm during the week as I’m at mandatory training for my employment. The solution? An appointment at 8:40pm. And this isn’t even mentioning the multiple insults and attitude I was on the receiving end of for being a professional with a job - it’s not like I haven’t already taken the time out of my schedule on a Saturday to pay for an appointment and multiple X-Rays that achieved literally nothing. Ian, do better mate - your attitude is appalling and I’m surprised that someone with your disposition can even successfully hold a job in customer service. Ian - it’s interesting that your response has nothing to do with the insults you hurled my way and you’re calling my inconvenient though I have recorded proof of my stating my unavailability between 7:30am - 4pm for mandatory training. Offering an appointment during a time that you know cannot work for a client isn’t ’doing your best to accommodate’ it’s just showing your lack of reading comprehension. I’d be hesitant to leave an honest review because you might cop messages like i did.

From the initial consultation, to the day of the procedure and my follow up appointment, the care and kindness that was shown has truly made a lasting impact. I cannot recommend them enough, the entire staff are wonderful and so supportive. I don't think words will ever be able to express my gratitude.

Fantastic experience: Today I had an appointment with Dr. Matthew Peyravi. I had a chipped tooth, and I truly enjoyed my visit. All the staff were very friendly and had a great attitude, and the doctor was amazing. He made me feel relaxed and completely stress-free. Not only did he fix my broken composite bridge tooth, but he also addressed the issue that caused the break in the first place. I really appreciate his care and professionalism.

Negative experience: I recently visited this dental practice with my 3-year-old daughter, who unfortunately had a cavity. I was taken aback when they suggested treatment under general anaesthesia, presenting a plan exceeding $5,000 without utilising the Medicare benefit scheme. I would not ever recommend this place, as it felt like a significant overcharge. Fortunately, I sought a second opinion and found another dentist who successfully treated my daughter under the Medicare benefit scheme, without the need for general anesthesia. Be cautious and explore all options before committing to treatment here. It's concerning when a dental practice doesn't prioritise accessible care for children by using the Medicare benefit scheme.

Negative experience: Not a very good experience. Came out worse off, than going to the appointment Ended up getting a second opinion next day who referred me to the hospital on the spot due to extent of damage done, swollen right face reaching my right eye with a spreading infection and agonizing pain. I wouldn't recommend.

From start to finish, the experience was handled with utmost professionalism. Fantastic experience: Dr Matthew was very helpful because I had toothache and the regular dentist at another surgery was unavailable on a holiday weekend. He was friendly and reassuring. I have decided to now make this dental practice my first choice. Dr Nikita started the root canal process on my tooth and I was very impressed by her clear explanation of the process and my treatment. She was very caring. Will be continuing to choose this practice for all future dental work.

Fantastic experience: I'm super anxious about going to the dentist and Dr Mathew and Nurse Paris were amazing from start to finish. I had a tooth extraction and elsewhere previously I would usually walk out not going through with the procedure, I walked out with it done and will be back for some more work. All of my options were laid out, pricing is reasonable considering the work done, clean and friendly place to go. Highly recommend Reception staff and online chat staff were also lovely.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sari and Vivian provided exemplerary service. Not only the obvious dental procedure was seamless, it was the communication and education thoroughout that made this experience second to none. Facilities appeared to be state of the art and were handled with the utmost professionalism one would hope for, with a personal touch of Brooklyn 99 to ease any natural duress. Unsure how one manages to balance professionalism and being down to earth but that's exactly what I experienced and it was amazing! I understood any intricacies as a layman because of how it was broken down by Dr Sari and Vivian's support, keeping me up to date with where we were at with the procedure was informative and reassuring. The experience has literally made me think I should take my health more seriously and I will return for more routine checks, maybe even get referred to a sleep doctor! That's right! Dental health can give indicators for other parts of your health too! I wouldn't of caught on without this experience! Negative experience: I've been a patient at Pure Dentist for years, along with my elderly parents and children. The dentist and admin team are lovely and great at their jobs, but the financial greed is revolting. They require/demand (the instant you book online expect a call) a deposit to hold your appointment, a practice they started during COVID that’s unfortunately stuck around. Don't pay deposits at any of the medical specialists or allied health professionals I see. Their prices are comparatively high, especially considering they are in an industry that’s known to be expensive, but now they no longer accept the Children’s Dental Benefits Scheme. Even with top private health insurance, the gap/out of pocket cost is still far too much. I have family who are dentists out of state, and after taking one look at my most recent invoices, were shocked at what I was charged. Disappointing to end things on such a sour note.

Fantastic experience: Dr Matthew and his team has shown great expertise in removal of my molar. I am so pleased that the whole procedure took a short time and my tooth pain immediately disappeared. Dr Matthew administered the injection to numb the tooth before removal. Very professional in his dental care; highly recommended !!

After a few visits, she performed his dental procedure in hospital, removing teeth, placing space maintainers, and crowns. The process was so smooth! Fantastic experience: Wisdom tooth issue identification and extraction late on a Saturday, no fuss and great attitude. Great doctors and staff, and a follow up consultation regarding healing of the wisdom tooth and additional medication free of charge. Would recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: At Pure dentist, they take anxiety very seriously. I had to get my first tooth pulled out, and was terrified. My dentist, Nikita Verma made my experience comfortable, and pain free. I highly recommend this dentist for anybody who is uncomfortable about going. 10/10

Fantastic experience: I needed to call on Emergency Dental restorative Services on the Friday before Christmas 2024. My specialist Dental practice had just closed for the Christmas break that day for 2.5 weeks, my regular Dental practice was not able to see me before Monday, and Family had just arrived from Sydney. We were all set to go to a much anticipated Christmas event when my centre front upper 6 tooth bridge became loose and then detached., making it virtually impossible for me to go out in public. Saturday morning I checked Google MAPS, spoke to a local Dentist, who referred me to a local service at Mt Gravatt- Pure Dentistry, who undertake Emergency referrals as well as providing a wide range of Dental services to a regular Client Base. I spoke to Reception about this complex Dental issue and I was then rung one of their available dentists Dr Sari who said he should be able to help repair the bridge sufficiently to help me get through Christmas and, if he wasn't able to do so, there would be NO CHARGE. I was given an appointment for that Saturday afternoon, the Repair was done efficiently and explained as the work proceeded. A report, plus a set of Step by step photos was then sent to my Dental Specialist, (as well as copied to myself), which made follow up much easier and were favourably commented upon by the Prosthedontist. I am an older Australian and was very impressed with the level of Professional service I received from this practice and found the fees charged to be relatively modest for the services and follow up provided. Importantly, the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help me , at this rather challenging time of year. So I offer my sincere thanks to Pure Dentist Brisbane Dental Clinics, at Upper Mt Gravatt, and recommend their practice for those looking for Quality Dental Services at an affordable price.

Negative experience: Not a good experience. My son had an appointment here and was not treated. $355 for a consultation and an x-ray. The dentist was not comfortable treating a child. They wanted us to have another consultation for even more money (again, not treatment) and suggested that he may end up needing general anaesthesia due to anxiety. We ended up going to another dentist the next day, he got the fillings done there and then, WITHOUT laughing gas or needles, let alone general anaesthesia. Our visit to Pure Dentist was wasted time and money. If someone doesn't feel comfortable treatening a child, they shouldn't take a booking.

Negative experience: No dentists here. You won’t be treated by dentists. The 'oral therapist' is doing all the treatments. He is the only one who sees patients. The oral therapist is amateur, has no idea what he is doing, would cause you pain and leave your teeth dirty even though you've pay for cleaning (a quote by the dentist we went after them). They are arrogant. Would toy with you, deceive you, try to intimidate you, try to con you into coming again and again, harass you with emails, sms, phone calls. Nothing is beneath them for getting your money. This is not a dentists clinic. It is one big scam of one oral therapists and fifteen receptionists. They are after your money. Don't give it to them. Don't call them, don’t set a foot in there. Not even a toe. I left my precious dollars there. Take a free lesson on me. Stay away.

Fantastic experience: Absolute fantastic customer service! Nardya was very helpful and comforting whilst answering any questions or concerns I had and provided me with a lot of information on what the clinic offers.

Fantastic experience: Wow. What can I say. I went today for an emergency appointment and from the phone call booking to the finalising the bill at the end, the customer service I received was above and beyond. Massive massive shout out to Bronwyn who was the most patient and kind dental assistant who let me squeeze allllll the circulation out of her hand when she was calming down, and a huge Thankyou to Dr Nikita for getting through it and for being so patient and kind.

Negative experience: False Advertising! They are not 24/7 emergency dentists. This has happened to me on two separate occasions—once today (the day of this review) and another time approximately one year ago. Today's incident: Early this morning, I called the provided phone number but received no response. Following their instructions, I left a message, but I never heard back. Later today, as my severe tooth pain returned, I called again. When reception answered, they immediately hung up. I called back, and this time I was able to speak with someone who informed me they couldn’t see me until tomorrow. When I asked why no one had responded to my earlier message, I was given a poor excuse that they must have accidentally missed it, followed by a half-hearted apology. To make matters worse, they then requested a $50 deposit to confirm the appointment, at which point I just hung up in frustration. The previous incident: About a year ago, I called after midnight due to severe tooth pain and left a message. After waiting and calling multiple times, I finally got through. I can’t recall if I spoke to the dentist or the receptionist, but they gave me several excuses as to why they couldn’t treat me and mentioned there would be a significant surcharge if I wished to proceed. In summary: They are not a 24/7 emergency dentist, and they severely lack empathy for people suffering from dental issues. I would give them zero or negative stars if I could!

Fantastic experience: On Thursday we had an emergency appointment scheduled for my 5 year old son who was in a lot of pain. We had previously had such an awful experience with another Dr and we were very anxious to meet with Dr Soha. Dr Soha, was incredibly kind, and helped ease any anxiety. We scheduled emergency surgery for my son for the Friday and she was amazing. Her bedside manner was gentle and informative and helped ease any stress as parents. I am so grateful that we found her and am so happy that she performed the procedure for my son. I highly recommend parents to use Pure Dentistry - Dr Soha if you have small children for all dental work. Shannon

Fantastic experience: I spoke to Michelle at pure dentistry at 8:30 in the morning and got an emergency appointment at 3pm that day. They were so accommodating and understanding of my situation with my wisdom teeth. When I walked in Mon and Michelle were so warm, welcoming and comforting. Mon took the time to take me through two different quotes to find the best outcome for me. Nikita really calmed my nerves and talked me through three different options to take my wisdoms out. She was on my side and talked me through the whole entire procedure. I am someone who struggles with anxiety going to the dentist but she kept me calm and was so gentle throughout. I’m glad to have found such a wonderful place and will be going back in the future for all of my treatments now on. Thank you ladies, I’m finally pain free!

Negative experience: do not recommend dr NIKKTA VERMA she said she can pull my tooth out 10 minutes later she breaks my tooth puts it back together and says “ i cant pull your tooth out im going to have to send you to a specialist “ and that specialist is about an hour drive, I recommend HCF everything done more professionally and smoothly

Positive experience: Felt like I was on a production line at factory. I've never experienced dentist informed price of treatment, no basin for gurgling, had to ask if I can gurgle. Maybe cultural differences. Maybe western standard. Dentist/dental assistant didn't advise what care I need to prevent/promote for better after procedure apart from "Come for any issues"

Negative experience: The most dismissive and appalling experience!! I presented to this clinic to have my removable retainers made up as my previous ones had cracked. Dr Sari told me that my existing plastic ones should not have cracked that soon and he suggested the new ones be made with acrylic instead. I was told they would be slightly thicker and only ~$50 more than plastic ones. He reassured me that I would barely notice a difference and that they would last 10 years. Sounded amazing hence agreed to go ahead. I had to make another appt to have my digital scans taken. At the next appointment, I was told the acrylic retainers would cost $400 per arch, meaning $800 in total! I received an emailed quotation of this cost at 9.35am when my appt was at 10am. Clearly there was not enough notice period for my consideration. Dr Sari tells me he had called up the surrounding orthodontists who would make them for over $400 and that I would not get a better deal. Bear in mind a normal plastic removable retainer costs $150-$200. What happened to acrylic being just a tad more expensive? Going from $150 to $400 is more than DOUBLE the price. Hearing the benefits above had somehow convinced me to go ahead. I was on personal leave and had already spent 2 appts to be there just to be informed of the cost on the spot. The worst part is after receiving these acrylic removable retainers, Dr Sari had to yank and pull the “removable” retainers out of my teeth after he first fitted them on. He proceeded to grind and file down the retainer and there was no difference or ease to removing them. After at least 4 rounds of yanks and regrinding the retainers. I informed him that I cannot see myself using this as he is pushing against my lips to yank them out. It was painful and I do not feel ok using them!! He tells me I will be more gentle compared to him. What the heck!?!?! He then made me try taking them out and to no surprise, I could not remove these “removable” retainers. Dr Sari tells me I should give these a go for a solid 2-3 weeks and they will mould better. It looked like he had given up and did not agree with me when I expressed my concern and disappointment. After 3 weeks, I returned and told him I had hurt myself, chipped my nails trying to pry out these retainers and they are just not practical!! Having braces 9 years ago, I have used the hawley retainers and plastic removable retainers and none of them have ever required such distressful and long periods of yanking to pry out the retainers. I expressed that these are not practical and did not suit the initial purpose of it being a “removal” retainer. Dr Sari told me he could not give me a refund just because the retainers do not suit my lifestyle and I should consult an orthodontist. I have wasted 3 appt to get some simple removal retainers made up and have been clearly overcharged and came out hurting and so distressed. You may have tried to adjust and grind them, however, I came in for a product and trusted your opinion. Yet you refuse to refund for a product that both you and I cannot use. You struggled to get these darn retainers off me expect me to be ok with that!?! I was told they would email me by the end of the week but have not heard anything after 2 weeks. Absolutely disgraceful! Would not trust or recommend them for any simple or complex dental care given their dental negligence.

Fantastic experience: Ruby and Dr Raghed have been amazing in dealing with my case as a hypersensitive gag reflex patient needing some work done under General Anaesthetic. I was shown all of my images, everything was explained well and they answered all of my questions. Ruby is helping me with the paperwork for early release of super and has been very helpful. Haven’t even scheduled treatment in yet but I would already recommend Pure Dentistry to anyone needing dental work.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment with Dr. Sari Simawy yesterday and words cannot express the amazing experience I had. He was the nicest dentist I have ever met, he checked my teeth thoroughly and talked me through everything that needed to happen to move forward, such as fixing the issues I had, and also preventative measures. He treated the nurse with respect, like his equal (which I don't remember her name, but she was amazing too!!!). The respect towards staff I had never seen before, unlike other countless dentists I've been too, he wasn't barking orders, and the nurse clearly felt confident in her role. As someone who has adhd and autism, I felt completely comfortable and no judgement. He never cut me off when I was talking (which I tend to ramble), they actually listened to what I was saying and explained everything in a way that I think anyone would understand. I could honestly go on and on about the experience, but you just have to go there for yourself... I highly recommend this place, they clearly love and truly care about their jobs.

Positive experience: I approached Pure Dentist (PD) to see child dentist for my 4 yr old son teeth (cavities, filling, remove, crows etc) issues. It is mainly because the delay with public dental service and non-eligibility for Medicare dental benefit. Child dentist at PD is no doubt the best I have seen in terms of making the environment calm and welcoming for the kids and doing the job. When the PD advised on further treatment and early release super funds option for (costly) dental treatment it was very smooth managing this. However I was not 100% satisfied with the way the dental procedure treatment arrangement done. Mainly because it involve 3 parties - doctor, day-hospital, anaesthetist; to come and work together for the dental treatment. The communication with client about the dental procedure is not easy and confusing. I believe the coordination and communication management of this dental procedure assisting the client is required an improvement from the PD reception side.

I had to make an emergency visit and the lovely lady at reception bent over backwards to get me in for a consultation on a Saturday. After taking a look at the tooth, I was booked into a chair that afternoon with Dr Sari. He was gentle, efficient and got my problem sorted quickly. He is very patient and understanding of my husband who has Alzheimer’s Dementia and requires some extra considerations when having Dental procedures. Dr Sari has also shown his genuine care of his patients to me recently when I developed some issues over the Christmas holiday period. It is with a Big Thank you to him that I Highly recommend him to anyone who needs Dental care.
