Fantastic experience: I have dental anxiety but everyone was amazing.. they went above and beyond.. I had sleep dentistry and it was exactly that.. I fell asleep the procedure was done and I was woken up :)) nothing to fear .. don’t keep waiting if you need to go ..go!! They are all lovely .. I will definitely be back in the future .

Fantastic experience: I needed to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and visited a few different surgeons for quotes. I was really disappointed with Advanced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery — overpriced and long wait times. Then I found Dr. Hitashi Ghai at Burnside, and the experience was completely different. I got an appointment within a few days. The doctor was straightforward and made me feel much less stressed. He even suggested a better recovery option, but I chose the more affordable one without grafting. I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed under IV sedation, and what’s amazing is that the surgery and pharmacy are both in the same building — no need to go anywhere else. That made the whole process so much more comfortable and convenient. Booking was easy, rescheduling was no problem, and the clinic staff were super friendly and comforting. After surgery, they followed up several times. When I was worried about bleeding, they had me come in right away — I barely waited, and another dentist checked everything and gave me a rinse without charging me (which I really appreciated ). They also made sure I received a medical certificate and everything needed for aftercare. Parking was easy and available, which made the visits stress-free too. Honestly, this is the place to go. Great staff, experienced dentist, and most importantly — they care and don’t try to rip you off. I’ll definitely come back to this clinic if I need anything in the future.

I had my broken tooth extracted on short notice and they were very happy to accommodate me even though it was late afternoon. Fantastic experience: I was back at Burnside Dental, only a few weeks after my initial visit, procedure time. My biggest fear was that the professional operation i had seen only weeks before was really only professional actors and in reality i was to be spending the next 3 hours, hanging upside down like a bat, being asked how my week was going while I had someone's fist in my mouth. I was sitting in reception, the same smiling welcoming people, hmm I thought, let's just see what happens. Outcomes the dentist, the same one as before, so far so good. But I thought, as soon as I get in the chair watch this guy put his mask on and switch out for a grey haired old man that smells like nanna. NO !! he stayed. The young, confident guy i thought was a hand model was a dentist. All the modern equipment was real !, and I had my earpieces in listened to my podcast favourites and the 3 hours went so fast, I was amazed. Go to Burnside Dental, its a no brainer. If you choose not to then don't complain to me about pain and that scary sterile smell of a traditional museum grade dentist. Change now and be as surprised as I was.

I was offered Happy Gas which helped me immensely. The Dental Hygienist Parwin was compassionate and the Dentist Dr Ghai was pleasant and explained everything to me. Fantastic experience: I had been suffering with intense pain in a tooth for a few weeks. I contacted Burnside Dental and explained my situation. They got me in straight away. the dentist was so thorough and calming. Put me at ease which is incredible as I have a gigantic phobia to dentists. Explained the best plan of action to receive my pai . Even found another tooth which also had an infection which I didn't even know about. The following day I was booked in to have the teeth fixed (in my case extracted, by choice) under IV sedation. Can't thank them enough for all their help and assistance.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dental surgery offering expert advice and attentive aftercare services. As a dental hygienist, Lauren is awesome! Kudos to Dr Ghai, who is an exceptional dental surgeon - I had a tooth extraction in what is typically a traumatic experience, but after the operation, I have experienced none of the expected post operation discomforts, such as bruising, swelling and pain. I highly recommend him.

Negative experience: My appointment was scheduled for 4:15 PM, but despite arriving at 3:45 PM, I was not seen the dentist until 5:20 PM. During the consultation, which lasted approximately 10 minutes, I felt that the dentist was in a hurry and did not provide sufficient information or address my concerns regarding a quote for a teeth implant. Additionally, I was charged $700 for this brief consultation, which seems excessive given the limited interaction and lack of detailed information provided. Updated: the dentist was not 15 mins late. It’s more than an hour beyond appointment time. Updated updated: I don’t received this quote prior to this appointment. This was actually charged this in consultation appointment(and it’s delayed too much). I don’t even talked to Dr.Ghai before this. How can I receive his implant quote? Big liar and liar. Keep listing!!!

Negative experience: Today my partner went & saw Dr Hitesh Ghai to find out what’s causing his tooth pain. Dr Ghai stated he’s not sure what’s causing the pain & recommended a root canal. He became very defensive & rude after my partner simply asked for re-explanation of something he did not understand (keeping in mind my partner himself is a doctor & far from stupid) & Dr Ghai stated “my 10 year old daughter would understand this if I explained it to her”. Extremely unprofessional & rude, we’re both quite shocked & upset. Will be finding another practitioner to help him from now! Edit: in response to the comment left by Dr Ghai. 45mins was not spent entirely on explanation of my partner’s confusion. As a medical professional it is your job to help your patients seek clarification on anything they are not understanding, especially when your solution (which you yourself aren’t even confident in) involves an invasive, risky & very expensive procedure. My partner & I never showed any rudeness towards you, I’m sorry you felt otherwise. My partner expressed his confusion through facial expression (not to mention his immense pain as well), there was no rude language or tone of voice, nor did I even say a word or show any facial expression etc before you dropped your bundle… so to be honest we’re not sure why you felt this way. At the end of the day, if your patient is still not understanding something, that is absolutely not a reason to intimidate & humiliate your patient, especially in the way that you did. I hate to imagine how someone of a low health literacy would be spoken to. I sincerely hope this situation drives you to improve your communication with future patients. Ego should absolutely not exist in healthcare.

All the staff are superb. They look after what is left of my teeth and offer great advice. My health insurance means I dont pay a big out of pocket expense either The practice is very clean and modern too

Fantastic experience: Absolutely happy with the care taken and how comfortable I was through the whole process.

Negative experience: My partner went to visit the clinic becuase the developed very strong pain in his tooth the night before. We booked an appointment online with a dentist, selected the reason for appointment was toothache for first thing next morning. He stayed up whole night due to the pain and hoped to relieve it after the appointment. Next day my partner went in, it was a different dentist to the one we booked online. We are not dentists but my partner was just hoping maybe she could do something to the tooth, like kill the nerves similar in the root canal process to save him from the pain. The dentist said there was no point of doing that and she couldn't carry out extraction either, then told him he needed to come back later the day so someone MIGHT be able to remove the tooth for him, but he would also risk developing dry socket becuase of the infection. So basically there was no effective treatment apart from subscription of pain killers and antibiotics, and a bunch of suggestions which didn't help at all. We ended at booking an appointment at ANOTHER dental center that afternoon and problem was solved.

Fantastic experience: I recently had an emergency visit to Burnside Dental Practice at Hazelwood Park because of an aching tooth that needed to be checked out prior to going on holiday. I was able to go online and book and get an appointment the very next morning. I was seen by Dr Hitesh Ghai who was able to identify my issue and also treat me that very same morning. The process was very professional from all staff and I felt very cared for and informed through the whole process. It was wonderful, given I had a tooth extracted, to feel that I could trust in Dr Ghai and his staff to really take care of me at this time. Also the after care has been superb. Fantastic experience: I had a tooth with a crown that was about to fall out. Tried another dentist who was going to see me in two weeks. I was desperate and rang Burnside Dentist practice. They fitted me in (on Saturday). The tooth fell out in the surgery and the dentist fixed it temporarily. He will complete the task in a few days. So happy I found this dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr Suresh (Dentist) and Dr Dennis (Anesthesiologist) were 10/10 amazing. My anxiety was through the roof yesterday after two attempts of a stage 1 root canal with a hot tooth (at other dental practices) I was terrified and a high flight risk, but Dr Dennis calmed me down and made me feel safe. When Dr Suresh introduced himself I immediately got welcoming and friendly vibes from him. I don't think I've ever felt that level of support in a dental surgery before. The admin team at the front were amazing about explaining what I needed to do and even cracked some jokes with me on the morning of the procedure to help calm me. I feel amazing today and can now enjoy Christmas knowing the thing that has caused me immense pain, physically and emotionally, has dissipated. Thank you all so much ❤️
