He would put the needle ever so gently, and tooth extraction and placement of implant were done with minimal impact to the gum. Negative experience: One of the worst experiences we have gone through has been with Dinos Kountouras from Dental Implants & Aesthetics at South Port. To say the least we suffered a very traumatic experience, one in which my family member is still recovering from, physically and emotionally. What was initially an appointment for a consultation regarding one tooth causing pain, turned into the extraction of all the top teeth that took OVER 2.5 YEARS to come to a point where there is still pain and discomfort. We understand under some circumstances dental procedures can take time as everyone’s situation is different, however, we were back and forth from the clinic like a yoyo, only to have exactly the same procedure done on numerous occasions because notes were not put in the system correctly. For more than one year my family member was wearing a temporary denture, and on a soft food diet due to the inability to chew certain types of food and from the sheer pain of eating. At one stage the temporary denture fell out even while eating soft food because it was not placed correctly, that we had to make an emergency call to an on-call dentist to put it back in as it was the weekend. Over a year down the track of this emotionally traumatic experience, we were informed of misalignment issues as the top teeth are made straight and the bottom teeth will remain crooked. This is something that should definitely have been advised from the beginning in the consultation period, before all the promises were made, so we can make an informed decision to go ahead, and not when there is no return but to proceed as you have no teeth on the top of your mouth. We are now suffering from financial hardship due to the thousands we paid to have this done. We have no issues paying to receive the care and service we were initially promised, however, this could not have been further from what we ended up experiencing with Dinos. The extensive period that this took, with the lack of proper information that was provided of the circumstance we were in, made a very difficult and personal situation an extremely emotional and valuable one, causing long service leave from work. The situation got so ridiculous that we ended up with a written agreement with Dinos, that he signed, that provided a procedure plan in order to have this horrific experience come to some form of an end, and only then we finally, after 2.5 years, got out of there! Just be careful and be wise in order to make a proper decision. Thank you to Google Reviews to be able to honestly share our experiences, and help others make the right decision when it comes to their dental needs.
