Fantastic experience: The best experience at a dentist by far, my two girls ages 6 and 8 were kindly gently, kindly and so much time was taken so explain at home dental care to them in detail and we were sent on our way feeling more confident and with new tools and resources they can use for life. We did have to get a few fillings done but it was all without needles gas and pain. So very thankful we have come across smile care dentists geelong, we will be returning for all our dental needs well into the future. All staff are very kind and gentle, welcoming and knowledgeable. Fantastic experience: I was experiencing toothache and although my regular dentist is excellent she is booked up weeks in advance. I went onto the HotDoc app to see if I could find a dentist available on short notice. Luckily Dr Madan was available. The whole experience was excellent. He very quickly worked out the tooth needed to go but put me on antibiotics for a week to stabilise before removing. This practice is excellent with state of the art equipment and highly professional staff. The dental nurse had years of experience as well and when I returned to have the tooth removed the team performed exceptionally well and everything went well. I can highly recommend the services and professionalism of all in this practice. Thank you all.

Negative experience: I've never had a dentist ask me if I 'wanted' anaesthetic. Dr Madan didn't use any anaesthetic, just a numbing gel for the bottom fillings. Next appointment was fillings in top teeth and I've never been in so much pain at the dentist. If the patient is clearly struggling and in pain when you do the needle anaesthetic, then you need to stop, and provide more numbing gel. For whatever reason Dr Madan did not do this, I was clearly kicking my legs, flinching in pain, yet Dr Madan tries to justify to my partner (who is a dental assistant) why I'm in pain and says this is normal. Maybe he was trying to save money by not using any anaesthetic, but because of this I had the worst experience ever at a dentist. I won't bother going back. He was also quite rude and mean to his dental assistant. However, reception and dental assistants have been lovely to deal with and at least made me feel more pleasant about an experience that really should not be that painful.
We are extremely sorry to hear about your recent experience with us. Dental anesthetics are a personal choice and sometimes patients choose not to have them. Regardless of the use of a gel, a certain level of subjective discomfort may be experienced during dental anesthetics and some patients prefer not to have them. To respect individual preferences, all our dentists check with our patients prior to the use of any form of anaesthetic.

Negative experience: PARENTS BE AWARE! My daughter have been getting her teeth cleaned every 6 months since she was a toddler from somewhere else. We came here for first time as her dentist moved on to bigger things. Unfortunately my daughter was butchered and in agony. A simple cleaning had never given her pain but here she was crying in so much pain from the beginning to the end. Not only that, she was crying for 3hrs after and didnt eat dinner that night as he gums were so sore. I knew something were wrong during the cleaning coz she's making noises which he didn't stop and her feet were shaking and hands clenched. I felt so bad for taking her here. The next morning after brushing her teeth, 5 pieces of her gum came out. It's been 5 days and I can clearly see her gums have been cut around her teeth. It's still all red and raw. This is the worst experience I had to put my daughter through. Never going back here and don't take your kids here please. They will suffer tremendously

Please note, presence of tartar deposits especially if left for over a year as indicated by you in her new patient form can result in gum inflammation and redness. When this tartar is removed during a scale, the underlying gum can appear red and inflamed. This is explained in detail in the information and consent provided to you and also discussed in person before the scaling. Positive experience: Upon arriving no one was at reception finally someone came out, I advised them of my appointment time and my name and was then asked to sign a no disclosure liability form then I meet the dentist whom was pleasant enough and over all they where ok but the staff seemed a little unorganised maybe they will improve over time

Fantastic experience: Had a veneer breakage on the Sunday, made an online booking that night for the Monday afternoon, walked out with a temporary crown whilst waiting on the real deal to come back from the lab. All steps were described clearly by Dr Madan as well as costs beforehand so bill shock was not an issue. Treatment was carried out gently and professionally by Dr Madan and Rachel. Overall a great experience as far as dentists go! Would not hesitate to recommend Smile Care to one and all.

Fantastic experience: I have been here twice now for emergency extractions. The level of care I receive from these folk is above and beyond. This dental surgery has heart! I am treated and watched others be treated with dignity and respect by the dentists and nurses. The treatment themselves are excellent. The dentist has always explained every part of the procedure with me, any complications, and his rationale. All whilst holding such a warm demeanour. Fantastic experience: I have had procedures for my two fractured molars. The clinicians provided detailed advice for the procedures, were able to address my concerns and relieved my anxiety. Anesthesia was just and no unexpected/adverse effects experienced during/after the procedures. No prolonged procedures and wound complications experienced. The post surgical pain was negligible, and the bleeding was self-limiting within three days. The recommended time for suture removal is precise, when the wound has closed, and the suture was starting to tear one day before the scheduled appointment. Clinicians shows commitment to local orthodontic care and willing to build trust with patients by providing unambiguous medical advice and respecting the patient’s wishes, without unnecessary surcharges.

Negative experience: Just let people know that when I was in the dentist chair he told me it was going to cost around $390.00 when I got to the reception it cost $624.00 not happy

Importantly, the whole experience was calm, with no rush and plenty of slow detailed explanation of what procedures took place, the outcomes of those procedures, and the ongoing care plan decided upon by Dr Madan, with my input. My experiences to date definitely qualified, in my opinion, for the description of "Care" in the name of the business, as well as "excellent" which I noticed in some of the marketing material of the business. Fantastic experience: I come from Exmouth WA, and staying with a friend in Geelong, My 2 front middle teeth had broken badly, went in the morning to the Dentist clinic , told them what happened, I received an appointment straight away, the dentist xrayed the teeth and said he could remove them now as they were hurting my tongue, i found a another dental service in WA and they got the x ray sent to them, so i am very great full for the care and the explanations I received, would highly recommend them. thank to all staff there
