Negative experience: Dentist herself is fantastic. Receptionists are very confusing and poorly explain pricing, gap and usage. No warnings for costs and what your insurance (I am with Bupa) covers provided leading to nasty surprises. Will be finding a new clinic (maybe I'll go back to noGaps) and maybe a new insurance provider as well, thousands given to Bupa a year and not much to show for it.

Negative experience: i recently visited Bupa Dental Martin Place for my orthodontic treatment, and while my experience with the doctor during appointments has generally been positive, I’ve been very disappointed with the delay in receiving my retainer. When I first saw the doctor, she told me it would take about one week for my retainer to be ready. However, it has now been three weeks, and I just got today actually i have been waiting for 3weeks. I understand that sometimes delays can happen, but I was hoping for more communication about the situation. I’ve had to follow up multiple times, and each time I’m met with vague responses or no updates at all. I hope Buda Dental can work on improving their communication and delivery times, as this has been a frustrating experience. I’d appreciate a more transparent approach, especially when patients are promised timelines that aren’t met.This review is polite yet clear about your frustrations, and it provides constructive feedback on the issues you’ve encountered. It also expresses your hopes for improvement, which may encourage a positive response from the practice.

Fantastic experience: Visited for usual bi-annual general check-up and clean. Decided to go with this clinic and specifically Dr Pallavi Shrestha after browsing reviews here. She was professional, gentle, and very communicative- always advising her next steps so I wouldn't be caught off guard or uncomfortable. She also explained my situation to me at the end of the clean in easy-to-understand terms and didn't rush to wrap up my appointment. Excellent experience overall.

Positive experience: Clean and efficient. Service and treatment was not as refined and smooth as other private practices in this price bracket but very capable clinicians. The cost of a checkup was fully covered by Bupa extras cover.

Fantastic experience: So far I have done my dental cleaning and checkups with Dr. Othilia and Dr. Pallavi and they were the nicest and most friendly dentists I have met. Normally I get anxious whenever I go to the dentist but my experience with both of them makes me feel less hesitant to go for a cleaning.

Negative experience: Very poor customer service from receptionist. Rude and unaccomodating. Will not attend this dental practice again.

Fantastic experience: Best dental experience ever!! Mark has the best bedside manner. Had a nice ice breaker chat to begin and then we addressed my concerns all before he looked at my teeth. He explained everything as he went along and there was no lecturing about flossing (as there normally is with me) but just good practical advice. If only all dentists were like this we wouldn’t be afraid to go!

Fantastic experience: I went for an emergency service with a terrible pain in my molar, they gave me an appointment in the following hour and the Doctor did a neat root canal on the go that just relief my pain super quick. He gave me all the explanation as was super professional. I can't be more thankful and happy with the service!

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Hayley James for my Invisalign and four veneers and she was excellent. She is skilful and was dedicated to making sure every detail was right. She checked in regularly to make sure everything was progressing well and I am so happy with the end result. I would definitely recommend Hayley.

Negative experience: TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH DR.RAYMOND LEE. I was planning to put on invisalign with him. So i have made several appointment for consult with him. Then do 3d scan in bupa and 2d scan in dental imaging as he refers. Waited for almost 3 months in total for the invisalign contract to come out and he is just suddenly cancel to take my cases. Wasted my money and TIME. The reasons why he cancel it bcs he cant commited to put my invisalign which takes 2 and a half years, but he already know this is going to be that long from the first appointment. He also made an excuses that he is still studying and very busy at the moment. If u cant commit to put invisalign to people, then stop taking patients. Detailed process : 3 Apr first appointment to consult whole invisalign process 12 Apr appointment for 3D Scan 1 May for consultation after 3D scan which is then he asked me another scan in other place. In this appointment he mentioned the this 2d scan is the last step, once i've done it i just need to wait so he will send me invisalign contract. 3 May for 2D Scan in dental imaging 15 May i call them to check bcs i havent receive email about the contracts. The front offices said they will check with dr.lee and get back to me which it never happen. 25 May i made another call. The answer is the same. They said they will get back to me asap and will let dr.lee to process it faster. 6 June i made my 3rd call to check. Which the answer is also the same. Finally on 9 June they call me back saying that dr.lee suddenly cant take the cases with all those excuses. And will refer me to another dentist. 13 June they called me for confirmation another dentist and also apologize. Also mentioned that Dr. Raymond Lee will personally call me at 5 p.m after work to apologize which it never happen. 15 June i decided to call them for refund money instead cause the referred dentist have a bad reviews as well from other people. Today 28 June im finally got all my refund back thanks to the lia and veronica who patiently assist me. The refunds itself has lots of another dramas which will be too much to tell.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for years! When I first arrived I needed a lot of dental work. Over the years they put me on a great plan and now I have the healthiest teeth and gums. Dr. James is an absolute legend who truely cares about her patients teeth and well-being.

Negative experience: We couldn't book our usual dentist so decided it to give Bupa dental a go since we are Bupa customers. My husband went for a general check up and clean. His teeth and gum have always been in good condition, he came home with sore and bleeding gums due to how aggressive and rush his dentist was. He got charged over $400 for a 15 minute job. We usually paid less than $400 to have a 40 to 45 minute session with our usual dentist. I also got quoted over $500 for my teeth cleaning. I didnt go ahead and went to No Gaps Dental Wynyard and i paid less than $300 for a 40 minute session.

Fantastic experience: I have been treated by Dr Hayley James for a number of years now and the service provided is always of the highest quality. She is always gentle and informative and I would recommend her to anyone. The other staff are always very friendly and accomodating.

Negative experience: Bupa dental is literally the Monday of my life. This happened on my Monday as well. 30min new patient check up and clean with this pricy bill $400+ including additional mandatory item (exclusive to Bupa dental Marin Place dental clinic for new patient). 1. If it’s gap dental, it's accountable for Bupa to clarify it by giving “Bupa no gap dental”subject to Bupa dental clinic. Because my friend had same first check up and clean up in Broadway with Bupa as new patient and wasn't required for 3rd X-ray and records (last 2 items) 2. The booking was made on the previous Friday around 15:40pm and the email was received 5 hours ahead of my appointment on busy work Monday, with choice of either big bill or $50 cancellation/reschedule. It doesn’t sounds giving a choice freedom. Just in terms of clean or check, generally not much difference from other dental clinics, but it’s not the place I like to return but if you after other dental service they might be good at, there will be another story and you might get what you paid.

I was experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort, resulting in a tooth needing to be extracted. Fantastic experience: I'm a nervy dental patient and I cannot recommend Bupa Dental enough. They are proactive with your dental health and are very attentive. When combined with Bupa health insurance, the costs are reasonable, especially for the level of service you receive. Front staff are very warm and welcoming, too, which is not to be understated!

Negative experience: Went a few weeks ago to do check up. The dentist said she would send the referral to the oral surgeon. A few weeks passed by and I chased up twice as my wisdom teeth is now in pain. The receptionists said they will ask the dentist to send the email that day but never happened. So unprofessional.

The other branch is giving me a hard time until the reception lady from MP branch called the other branch and within minutes the scans was forward to my email. The branch is very convenient as well as it is very close to my work. I can get my dental appointments done during my lunch break. How convenient.

My dentist, Dr Alun Cheng explained everything to me in such a methodical way of what my procedure is going to be and explained both the benefits and risks and the proper procedure for after care so as to facilitate the healing process quicker and without complications! Jason Nguyen (Oral Health Therapist) and Othilia Tan (Dentist) are brilliant, they are calm, careful and concise, explaining what is being done as well as what needs to be done. Pinpointing problem areas and accurately diagnosing and treating. Bupa Dental Martin Place has definitely won me over, I would rate them 10 stars if possible! So easy to get here and Dr Lee is so helpful and has kept my treatment in progress. Fantastic experience: This is by far the best dental clinic I have been to in my 20+ years living in sydney... and i have been to a few. The clinic is hidden away in a small entrance but i was very surprised with the high tech and clean spacious clinic once you are on 1st floor. ( they have 4+ consulting room and a special xray or OGP image thing room). The best part was the service (dr sinclair) explained everything in detail and was very careful and gental in his approach. Price was pretty good. I was with BUPA essential and only paid $146. I would recommend this dentist.

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately for me I had a sudden onset of terrible dental pain. I searched high and low for somewhere that could see me as soon as possible and nowhere could until I found Sydney CBD Dental. They saw me within 4 hours of me calling as an emergency appointment which I was super thankful for. Dr Mark Sinclair took me through my options clearly and concisely and helped resolve the pain there and then and we came up with a plan. Subsequent visits have been great, all team members I have seen or spoken to have been so lovely and take the time to explain everything for me to an appropriate level of detail. Timely appointments mean that I can make an appointment for my lunch break and be back right on time, which is a miracle! The overall positive experience is something I have never encountered in a dentist before and I have recommended to all my colleagues and have definitely found my go to dentist, no more putting off appointments for me!!

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. Dr Karen Gealis treated me. She exaggerated my conditions and try to con me into having two crowns at $8000 just makes me noxious. Luckily I insisted for check and clean only and went to another dentist for a second opinion.and turns out that I only need fillings. All I can say is beware of what she tells you. Think twice and maybe seek a second opinion. Karen is very persuasive. Needless to say, I won't come here again.

Fantastic experience: Can I give more stars?? Karen is THE best dentist I have ever been to. That's no exaggeration. Very gentle, thorough and mindful of her patient's needs or concerns. I would highly recommend her in a heartbeat.

Fantastic experience: I found Sydney CBD dental through the Bula website over 3 years ago and haven't looked back. I'm so impressed with the high level of customer service, the reception team (Natalie & Monica) my dentist Abhishek, and detail hygienist Lisa are all impressive. I recently moved interstate however maintain & travel to my appointments with Sydney CBD Dental. Highly recommend to anyone looking at switching.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with Dr Abhishek and his team. Was referred to him by a friend for Invisalign treatment last year and I am super happy with the result. Had previously been to another practice on Pitt St who were were very pushy and it seemed the doctor was only in the room for 2 minutes before being palmed off to one of his assistants. Dr Abhishek always took the time to explain each step from the start, and never seemed to be in a rush whenever I had questions. Payment plans options were also a bonus at this practice, which made the scary process of paying the bill more affordable. My only gripe is that it can be hard to get an appointment straight away as he is booked weeks in advance but if you book far ahead enough its not an issue. Have the confidence to smile now thanks to Dr Abhishek and his hygienist, and would definitely recommend him.

Fantastic experience: I did my braces and regular cleanings here. Dr. Aggarwal is extremely professional and friendly, as well as the nurses there! Never get disappointed or stressed there. You know how important the feeling is when seeing a dentist!

Negative experience: Warning: I got scammed out of money for additional services I didn't agree to, the staff at reception is incredibly incompetent. When I made my appointment, I asked twice whether my insurance would cover the treatment. I was reassured twice by reception staff that I was fully covered. When I arrived and gave my insurance information, they did not let me know they had been wrong. Only after the treatment, during which the dentist had performed additional, unnecessary services (a quick 5 minute clean that was no professional cleaning by far, and some fluoride for my teeth) the staff let me know I would have to pay in full, because dental was not covered. While I would have still done the check up for 60 dollars, the additional services for 130 dollars were neither worth the money nor would I have agreed to get them, if staff hadn't reassured me they would be covered by insurance. I have luckily never been treated like this anywhere else (usually, additional costs are disclosed before treatment) and will certainly never use this practice again. I'm writing the whole story down so hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Fantastic experience: Impeccable service offered by Dr Abhishek Aggarwal & team. Upon inspection the facilities are very modern and clean!! During the x-rays my enthusiastic gag reflex would kick in and the team smiled and patiently allowed me to take my time and assured me everything was okay. Dr Aggarwal kept me updated throughout the check-up (including translating all the technical dentist “buzz words” to colloquial terms) allowing me to keep at ease. After the check-up he reiterated all the work done showing me the before and after pics (which really opened my eyes!) followed by questions & advice. Sydney CBD Dental is a very client centric Practice who I would recommend to everyone! Keep up the great work.
