Fantastic experience: Absolutely could not recommend enough. All staff are so lovely and have been so easy to work with. Want to say special thanks to Brooke, one of the receptionists who was able to help me when I was running late with traffic and managed to move my appointment back 30 mins, so I could get there in time and have a full appointment. Really appreciate her kindness and ability to solve that problem for me. Have been seeing Karli and Dr Shereen who have also been both absolutely fantastic and so accommodating, really personalising my health journey with discovering I have a lip and tongue tie. Karli is who I see regularly and has been so flexible and understanding of my background, chronic health problems and her confidence in me doing my tongue exercises has helped tremendously. Could not recommend this clinic enough! Have not had a single hiccup or bad experience since going there

Fantastic experience: My baby had her tongue tie release with Dr Shereen at 9 weeks, and now at 5 months she’s thriving. The staff at Sparkle Dental were amazing from the first phone call, getting us in for an earlier appointment, making me a cuppa while waiting (something a new mum always needs), lovely dental nurses explaining after care instructions and of course Shereen was very warm and professional and put me at ease. Follow up care was fantastic too. I have recommended friends to attend here also.

Fantastic experience: My little boy nearly 1 year had his tongue and lip tie cut with Dr Lim. I have struggled with issues feeding (breast/bottle/solids), behavioural, sleep, weight, mouth breathing and tongue coordination since birth with no Guidance from our GP, community nurse, paediatrician, midwives or lactation consultants. This had cause extreme stress, feeling like I was a bad mother and at times issues bonding with my son. After a suggestion through a friend we explored the possibility of tongue tie and with a diagnosis from Brenda at the Gentle Villiage we made contact with Sparkle dental. We fly down from the Kimberley and had the procedures done. The whole team were fantastic, very understanding, supportive, gentle with my little one. Dr Lim gave us a fantastic consult prior to the procedure and we looked at everything we had in front of us, and I made the decision to go ahead. We are only day two post surgery and I am already seeing a change in his oral function and use of sounds. I didn’t know my boy had such a big smile!! Fingers crossed we will Keep seeing improvements but for now I am very happy with this decision.

Negative experience: Edited - PS If the dentist was half nice of below reply to us on the day then I wouldn't take my time to write this review. We saw a private lactation consultant and she recommended Sparkle Dental for being thorough and taking a holistic approach in treating tongue tie for babies. So we booked an appointment (4 weeks in advance) to release my baby's tongue tie with Dr Shereen Lim. Sadly all those 5 star reviews on Google are opposite to what we experienced. When we met Dr Shereen, she asked our nationality and her face changed as soon as we answered. She doesn't show any interest or care in treating my baby rather rushing in typing about medical history and advised to come back after getting more bodywork done saying baby is not ready. We already went to bodyworker prior to seeing Dr Shereen and even bodyworker said it is more effective to do extra bodywork once the procedure is done. Hence, we are very confused between those different professional advices. If you are specialised in releasing tongue tie, why don't you release it instead of turning away patient who came all the away to Joondalup just for this procedure. We would understand if she takes her time and explain properly at the consultation. Additionally, she wasn't patient and kind to baby at all. In the end we decided to leave the practice ASAP and cancelled the upcoming appointment since I don't want my baby to go through the treatment under this dentist. Finally we looked for another place and found the paediatric surgeon who is very good and kind to baby. Plus his consultation fee is cheaper than Sparkle Dental. I like to recommend future parents to take your time and do research prior any procedure done so you don't have to go through what we had.

Fantastic experience: Where to begin with this amazing practice! From the moment i walked in the door with my 9 week old baby (who was there to have a tongue tie release) i was greeted by 3 bubbly polite receptionist, all of which introduced themselves and offered us tea and coffee. We then consulted with Dr Lim and the great service continued. This practise is a well oiled machine and i can’t fault one single aspect of their care with my 9 week old. Kind, Caring and so professional. If there were 6 stars, they would get it!

She was happy to spend time going through the different options and likely outcomes. Couldn't recommend Sparkle Dental enough.

Fantastic experience: Dr Lim answered our SOS, performing our son’s lip and tongue tie release when he was 5 weeks old. We were beyond happy with the care from the whole team on the day, and with all of his after care and follow up. We are so very fortunate to have such an incredibly skilled and knowledgeable practitioner like her in Perth. Shereen’s knowledge and expertise is world class! I have also had a tongue tie release performed by Shereen, after having myofunctional therapy to prepare with the amazing Karli, with exceptional results beyond my expectations! My wife and I now also see Dr Simon for our routine dental care, and are more than happy to drive the distance to Joondalup, as it’s more than worth it!

Fantastic experience: We live down south of the river, and we were very happy to drive to one of the best dental practices for my son. My son is anxious whenever we go to a dentist, but for once, he wasn't! The ladies at the reception were very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. To top it all, we met with the bèautiful dentist, Anaelle, who was very nice and gentle with my son. She showed him her pet wall, which I personally think this had made my son very comfortable as my son is an animal lover. She explained in detail what needed to be done, and as the mother, I had heaps of questions , and she took the time to answer all of my questions. Anaelle kept checking on my son while cleaning his teeth and other things she did, which was very reassuring to my son and myself. Thank you for the amazing experience. Fantastic experience: For a person that had a fear of Dentists I felt so at ease. The staff are so friendly and caring. Would recommend this Dental practice.

Negative experience: After being recommended by a private midwife to seek a tongue tie laser procedure from Dr Lim I came out very disappointed. Firstly, I booked a consultation/procedure appointment 5/6 weeks in advance as this was advised by the private midwife. I was quoted $250 and a $100 deposit for the appointment which I paid over the phone. I then received an email 1/2 weeks prior to the appointment that the consultation fee increased to $320. I would have thought they would honour the quoted price as I was already booked in and if you were to increase your consultation fees I would think common sense would be to charge new clients booking in, but after leaving the consultation I now know this is all to make more money. Now I attended the appointment with a hungry baby who was not in the best mood however this was because I was told to feed my baby after the procedure took place so I held off. When we were in the consultation room we were advised it was not recommended to have the tongue tie release as my baby was not ready due to my baby gagging too much. Now a baby gagging is a very good reflex to have. I was advised to go back to the private midwife for advice and more oral exercises and then come back. Whilst in the consultation room photos were taken of the mouth and an observation was done by the dentist. I found the dentist rushing the photos and had no patience for my baby. Which is fine however the dentist practice prides themselves on being very good at baby/children’s tongue ties so I would have thought there would be more care and patience. We left the dentist more confused than we did going in, so I booked a consultation with another dentist who specialises in tongue ties. The new dentist confirmed my baby has not only a tongue tie but a lip tie aswell!!! This was completely missed by the private midwife and the dentist and it is very obvious when you look in the mouth. My baby is now booked in for a few weeks time for both releases and no oral exercises are needed. I highly recommend other parents to get a second opinion and be weary of who recommends who as I am starting to think all these consultation I am having fork out for are to make more money. This review is only half with what I was disappointed in as the full list would be too long.

I’m someone who has severe anxiety when I go to the dentist and they make me feel so relaxed and safe DR ALEX DEVELLEREZ Is the best dentist i have ever been too in my 50 odd years of life !

Fantastic experience: I can't praise Sparkle Dental, Joondalup and Dr Alex Devellerez enough. As someone who becomes extremely stressed and panicked when any dental equipment is placed in my mouth I tend to avoid dental treatments. However, when I fractured a tooth, I had no choice but to seek treatment. The badly fractured tooth needed to be capped. On the day of the procedure, Dr. Alex provided very caring assurance that my phobia was not unique and that he would work with me through the process. To my surprise, the procedure was not the ordeal I had anticipated. Dr. Alex was supportive and comforting throughout, allowing me to stop at any time, sit up, and even once removed the equipment while I caught my breath. His patience and professionalism made a significant difference. Apart from caring for me during the procedure, I now have a fourth cap that Dr. Alex has fitted, and like the other three, it feels and functions just like any of my natural teeth. While I still won't be volunteering for dental procedures, my experience with Dr. Alex has made me much less apprehensive about any future dental work. I highly recommend Dr. Alex and the rest of Sparkle Dental Team for their outstanding care understanding and excellent dental work. Thank you, Dr. Alex!

Fantastic experience: Alex attended to me at short notice when I broke a crown just a few days before Christmas 2023. Since then he has replaced my broken crown with a brand new one and the fit and bite are both perfect. All staff at Sparkle Dental are very caring, extremely polite and very professional. Fantastic experience: Over the last couple of years I have had a number of very old fillings replaced by crowns by Dr Alex. These have literarily given my teeth a new lease on life! Alex used the latest dental tools and 3D technology, and has provided me with perfectly fitting crowns each time. Also, the regular inspection and clean with Michelle is really top notch, and the entire team is very professional.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for the last 2 years getting Invisalign. I have had a really great experience the whole way through. The Sparkle dental team have all been so lovely and have made me feel comfortable every visit. They were able to arrange my appointments around my work and travel which was greatly appreciated. Fantastic experience: I have been extremely happy with the overall service at Sparkle Dental. The attentiveness and efficiency of all the staff is absolutely exceptional. My children are both very comfortable visiting the clinic and adore all the staff. The work Dr Shareen is doing for airway health in children is absolutely vital and I honestly, CANNOT RECOMMEND HIGHLY ENOUGH her work and the amazing team at her clinic.

Negative experience: Furious My family and I have been going to Sparkle Dental for about 12 years I guess now. As indicated on their booking system there is a fee if you want to change an appointment within a 48- hour period (you are not told the fee). Today I found out that was $50. I rang about 30 hours prior to the scheduled appointment to move it to another day as my work had shifted gears and I was called into a high-level incident that required my attention that next day. I wanted to change the appointment, not cancel it, but Lauren at reception informed me that she was going to charge me $50 as a cancellation fee to this particular appointment. I didn’t cancel, I rescheduled due to an unexpected change in my work commitments thinking the fee would be a deposit toward the next appointment which I was happy to pay. I know that on previous occasions I have had to change within 48 hours and have not been charged. Now, you might also want to know that Lauren informed me that she couldn’t reschedule my appointment until October (2 months from now) and I could go on the waiting list for an earlier one. So, my appointment scheduled for 30 hours from now surely had a waiting list too. Double dipping if you will. I was so infuriated after finishing my conversation that I called back to cancel the rescheduled appointment and we will go elsewhere. She didn’t seem concerned by that at all and made me feel quite an idiot. It is very apparent that the overheads in the clinic are exorbitant as when you enter you are greeted by 3-4 receptionists and there is only 3.5 dentists, each not working every day, so I don't imagine I am particularly important to the bottom line. My guess is that the clinic is making an extremely robust profit. Good on them. The kids (now young adults) and I will miss Simon Frame - he is a great dentist and the only reason we went there.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had her tongue tie release done at the age of 16 at Sparkle and has had some truly amazing results! Absolutely worth it, and definitely NOT just a cosmetic procedure (as I was told when she was born). She gets better sleep, has better overall mood and no mouth pain when eating. I highly recommend Shereen and the team for kids of any age!

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience with all the fantastic team at Sparkle dental . The reception team are so warm and welcoming they make you feel like you’re walking into a close friends house ! Alex and the lovely dental assistants have made all my treatment experiences relaxing and comfortable even offering blankets during longer procedures for extra comfort. They explain the process along the way and make sure you are happy with everything. We also ended up bringing my 5month old boy along for tongue tie with Shereen who was so professional and thorough with both of us making sure I was comfortable with the procedure providing clear instructions for aftercare and thorough check up post procedure! Thank you team Sparkle I’ve recommended you to any of my family and friends seeking dental care and will continue to do so !

Fantastic experience: The service I’ve received from Sparkle Dental has been next to none. I decided to undergo a Tongue Tie release after discovering and researching the many (possible) benefits adults can receive after completing the procedure - which I found surprising as I didn’t think it was an option past childhood. Karli has been great from start to finish - throughout the Myotherapy sessions pre & post-release, as well as adapting to my long distance from the practice by holding sessions over Zoom where possible, which I really appreciate. I’ve been impressed and felt supported in the hands of Dr. Shereen and the rest of the team throughout the whole experience too. I’ve found several benefits following the procedure and I’d recommend anyone to look into it as a result: I had struggled with my posture and back pain for several years - which have practically dissolved post-release, as well as noticing other lifestyle changes like more well rested sleep and breathing on a consistent basis. Our whole family see Dr Simon and Michelle for our cleans and every time we leave, it feels like we've been pampered due to their caring approach. Dr Simon and Michelle are both very gentle and almost approach their work like an artist does to a masterpiece. They're precise and take alot of pride in their work.

Fantastic experience: What an exceptional experience we had at Sparkle Dental. The receptionists and team led by Dr Shareen were very friendly and professional; they made my 2 year old felt so comfortable and special that she keeps asking to go back to the dentist! They were great at diagnosing my daughters tongue tie and tongue tone/strength and in recommending a range of exercises and resources to use to help us combat this. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: This was my first time seeing a dentist in over 7 years as I'm terrified of dentists. Since i broke a tooth last week my wife persuaded me to go see Simon at Sparkle as this is her dentist. So reluctantly I gave it a go. From the ladies on the reception to Simon and his assistant, everyone was superb. No pain, they made me feel at ease and a few times I felt myself relaxing in the chair so job done as far as I'm concerned. I said to my wife outside I would happily go for regular checks and cleans if it were always this easy.

Fantastic experience: I have been petrified of going to the dentist since I was 8 years old. When I first walked into Sparkle I automatically felt at home. I was greeted by friendly staff, who made me feel welcome straight away. I had my consultation with Alex and informed him of my fears and reasons why.
