Fantastic experience: I started treatment with Dr Kanowitz since March this year. I wanted to find someone extremely experienced, indeed I did! It was my first time going to a dental clinic at 24 years old, and I was a bit nervous about that as I had no solid idea of the state of my mouth. His team was so calming, reassuring and my concerns were lifted. I loved the sense of collaboration and harmony between them in the environment. To date, his team and him have removed all four wisdom teeth under IV sedation, performed single tooth extraction and cleaning/scaling. They healed phenomenally, no dry socket and the whole process was painless and I was back to my normal conscious self right after. I worried about a few things during the healing process and his team of receptionists were prompt to answer my inquiries. Jason, the clinic director - I could not thank enough for his endless support and dedication throughout a long, burdensome, bureaucratic process with my superfund for payment release. His constant insistence to see this through to completion really has made the difference to my dental journey. He has answered every question I could possibly have about my treatment and the clinic (god bless him I’m very meticulous), helped with inquiries to my superfund and even spent 3 hours on hold with them (on two phones) when I came in clinic. He shared the frustration and burden, and showed deep compassion and respect to my mother and I. I’ve just started on my clear aligner treatment a day ago now, and without his unwavering support I wouldn’t have made it easily to the end. He takes his role as clinic director seriously, and is extremely dedicated to the patient experience. There couldn’t be anyone better! The whole team has been just lovely. Negative experience: I had contacted their receptionist to find an orthodontist for my child’s cosmetic dental matter. My child already had a general dentist so I needed an orthodontist to review her teeth. I had asked the receptionist whether they had any orthodontists in their clinic as I did not want to only see a general dentist. She had confirmed that her principal dentist was an orthodontist, I double checked with her prior to the booking and she said yes. I attended the appointment with my child however upon arrival they had changed the dentist to a general dentist I had not booked with. Then she stated that none of their dentists are orthodontists, they’re all general dentists. I had asked why they had declared they have an orthodontist. I assumed your staff would know the difference between an orthodontist and a general dentist that provides orthodontic services. Wasn’t an honest thing to do.

The initial inquiry appears to have been made by your eldest daughter, which may explain some confusion; perhaps with another practice. At no point during the call did our staff state that we have a specialist orthodontist, nor was this question raised. You requested braces for your child, a service we provide through our experienced dentists who have a special interest in Orthodontics.
During your visit you raised your voice and did not allow our staff the opportunity to speak or resolve the situation calmly. We expect respectful communication at all times and cannot engage productively when this standard is not met.
We wish you the best in finding a provider that aligns with your expectations and preferences.

Fantastic experience: I had my tooth removed today and the experience was amazing. I was so nervous beforehand. When I got there, Dr Kanowitz and all staff was so friendly and reassuring. After injecting local anaesthetic, it was less than five minutes, my tooth was removed uneventfully. I was so surprised to be told that everything was done. I highly recommend Dr Kanowitz if you have to get your tooth removed!

Fantastic experience: Both Dr Kanowitz and Dr Ivar have been amazing in completing my dental treatment. Due to past anxieties with the dentist I had let a few issues grow. Dr Kanowitz was great at explaining everything and calming me down and the crown that was fitted was a smooth and calm procedure and the cost was very reasonable. Dr Ivar removed a tooth and the experience was absolutely pain free...he was an expert at talking me through every step and making me feel reassured and calm. Would recommend either dentist to anyone, particularly those with any anxiety or fears about seeing one!!! I also want to say that all the staff are so kind and compassionate to speak with too...you are greeted by name when you enter the clinic and every interaction is warm and genuine...you really feel very at ease from the moment you enter!

Fantastic experience: My implant is done perfectly. No issue and complaint after a year. The surgery went really well and it was painless. It helps that they have an interest free payment plan too. Fantastic experience: All the staff here are caring, understanding, and welcoming. They were all so catering to young babies, I went to all appointments with my 4month old. They helped to squeeze me in between appointments as I was in desperate need of treatment of teeth clenching and bruxism. It was so bad that I had constant headaches, back and neck pain and terrible sleep, which was worse with my 4 month old baby. Dr Colin fit me in and ordered fresh Botox which successfully treated my jaw muscles and relieved the pain I was experience and drastically improved my sleep and overall quality of life!

Negative experience: Due to privacy concerns i choose not to use my real name. But i am extremely unhappy with their business model, asking people to leave reviews when they only have one or 2 reviews in their name and their surgeries they do that arent required. Mike Mew who is active on youtube is adamant that braces ruin the natural face of children in his highly regarded opinion.
“Gilbert Goldberg” we are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the so called “model”, what business model are you specifically referring to?
Furthermore, offering options such as Orthodontic treatment to patients of whom benefit significantly from such treatments is widely used amongst the globe.
If such services offered “ruins the natural face of children” then we urge you to contact the Australian Society of Orthodontics and the Dental Council, explaining that despite the last several decades of global practitioners providing treatment - you feel that practitioners should not provide orthodontic treatment. We work alongside leading global Orthodontists and perhaps you’d like to complain about “Orthodontic treatment”.
Every single patient that is seen, is made aware of all the pros and cons of treatment, and; they are given all options prior to even proceeding. If you had any concerns, then kindly advise why they were not addressed? Furthermore, by using one practitioner who has a differing point of view does not substantiate your comment in that “braces ruin the natural face of children”
In addition, you have used allegations to demonstrate to the public that we offer services to individuals which “ruins the faces of children”. Despite the fact that you have used an individual practitioner overseas to illustrate their opinion, your post is defamatory to our surgery, practitioners and staff, and as such; we do not take this lightly.
This will now be passed on to our legal team effective immediately, your IP address will be traced down along with your other reviews left at Harris Farm Markets, Thai Restaurant, Wilde Kitchen & IGA.
We urge you to remove your review with immediate affect or we will be pursuing this with our team of solicitors and barristers to the FULLEST extent and actionable by law. You will be liable for all legal costs including damages associated with this review.

When my daughter first needed braces for her cross bite, I called around to shop for the best price and the best treatment. Fantastic experience: I recently had a wisdom tooth surgery done taking out my bottom two at Dr. Kanowitz' practice. My teeth were pointing inwards so it was a complicated procedure, but they did a phenomenal job! The team was caring and attentive to my needs, both pre and post surgery. Above all, it was extremely reassuring to know that I was under reliable hands. It took about 2 weeks for me to heal, but no complications afterwards. If you are looking to get work done on your teeth I'd highly recommend visiting this clinic!

Negative experience: I choose this practice because of the great reviews and when I was there it was good service but my filling only lasted a week before falling out and they could not get me back in to fix it for 2 weeks which was longer than the filling lasted. Disappointed and needed it do properly I ended up paying someone else to fix and happy to say the filling has lasted longer than a week.

We saw you on the 19th of June and you would recall that we exclusively managed to shuffle something around to fit you in.
It was on the 26th of June (1 week later) whereby you left us a voicemail regarding your situation. One of our lovely reception staff called you back that same day and we scheduled you in for a time that would be mutually convenient, and; we note that you explicitly stated you were happy with that appointment time slot. We got a call a day prior to you coming back to see us, in which you cancelled your appointment. We provide nothing less than 7 star service to all our amazing patients, and if there was any concern of you wanting to come in sooner (and we were made aware of that) we would have bent over backwards to accomodate. We are sorry you cancelled your appointment, yet we would have looked after you (as explained on the phone) and rectified the filling.
All procedures carry some form or risk (which are presented throughly to all our patients) and; relating to your filling, we would have very gladly looked after you with no charge, which was presented to you on the phone.
All patients are part of a family we have built and continue to build and we are sorry that you had not given us the opportunity to assist you.

Fantastic experience: After visiting a couple of other practitioners I decided to get a third and final consultation. Dr Kanowitz is simply amazing with his empathetic approach and complete understanding in what I wanted. Fantastic experience: I was extremely terrified of the dentist due to bad past experiences with my childhood dentist. Recently I was having immense pain in my back tooth, it was very inflamed and I couldn't sleep properly because the pain would wake me up at night. I had to get a root canal on the infected tooth and was absolutely dreading the appointment leading up to it, crying and all. I thought the drilling on an infected tooth would be the death of me lol. Two sessions later with Dr Kanowitz, I didn't feel an ounce of pain (the numbing injection is literally a 1 second pinch - doesn't hurt that much!) and I can confidentially say I've gotten over my crippling fear of the dentist. I'm SO happy I've found Dr Kanowitz and his team. I'll never go anywhere else now. Thank you so much :)

Fantastic experience: Dr Kanowitz and the team have offered such a high quality service! They were so kind and friendly throughout my whole experience. I got a wisdom tooth extraction. Dr Kanowitz performed his surgery in way that I allows for speedy recovery. I was able to recover after surgery within 2-3 days. Which is truly amazing! Also during the healing process, I only experienced tenderness- didn’t find it necessary to take pain killers. Fantastic experience: This doctor did an amazing job for my Dad who got two wisdom teeth removed at the same time as was in pain for a number of months. Very minimal to no pain afterwards and quick healing. No swelling no bleeding. Excellent doctor my Dad wants to give him more than 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: There is a reason this surgery has a 5 star rating. Amazing customer service, genuine interest in you as a client and top notch care. It's great that Dr Kanowitz gives you explanations of what he is doing which is awesome. I had to get an emergency Crown made which would have taken three weeks, but I informed the Dr I needed to be filmed for my job the next week and he pulled all the strings so to say, and pushed it through in 1-week. You simply won't get that anywhere else. I highly recommend this surgery.
