Fantastic experience: Dr.Rachael has been nothing but absolute legend to our children. From check up to, treatment to plans, I am really impressed with the way she deal with her patient. So caring, loving and fun approach to our children and I am confident that my kids won’t have trauma like a lot of us experienced. I hate sharing my experience with public as I know she is one that is sort after already. But I could not help but to share this as parent’s perspective.

Negative experience: Haven't experienced the care, most reviews seem good. However, too expensive for a family if just for a 4 year olds dental checkup by itself (no extra teeth clean xray, etc required) was $114. Booked dental on Martyn which was half of that $70 and has great reviews too.

Fantastic experience: I have a fear of dentists but I found the dentist to be gentle and informative. I strongly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: The best dentist I have found so far in Cairns! Ok I don’t go often , my teeth aren’t bad. Dr Alex is just so professional , kind , attentive and empathetic. Calming nature and nice music too! His side kick Trisha is just so attentive! Of course Kayleigh and Sydney greet you with a genuine smile and have time to share a giggle Thank you so much for the last minute appointment and the painless filling! Price was very decent also! Fantastic experience: Alex has been are family dentist for years. His attention to detail and professionalism towards myself is always A1. I just received a treatment from Rachel could not be happier with the results. The staff are so friendly and understanding. MY TEETH HAVE NEVER BEEN BETTER!!! Genuinely appreciate all your efforts to get such a solid result for myself. Could not recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: Charlotte was amazing and helped me out at the last minute. Broke most of my front teeth and had to fly out the next day, she sorted me out and took care of pain relief, supported and then capped the teeth temporarily. I am very thankful and would quick to recommend Charlotte to anyone. Front desk is awesome also.

Negative experience: “No Smiles Here ☹️” I used to be a loyal customer at this dentistry for years until yesterday when I was treated poorly and unprofessionally by a counter staff lady yesterday. The lady was not helpful and did not provide me any information on a upcoming procedure making me feel like I was not being listened to at all and like she was doing something else more important. I really like the dentist there and most staff have been really nice except this one lady who decided to not care and showed a unprofessionalism, will most likely mean that I will never return. Visit at your own risk ⚠️

Negative experience: Friendly staff - great service Update: unfortunately I experienced an incompetent front counter staff today who could not provide me any important information for a filling procedure like how much out of pocket expense and which tooth etc details! I am considering not going back to any 1300 smiles dentists at this stage!

Fantastic experience: I lost a whole 4 tooth bridge while in holiday, 1300 saw me quickly and Alex cemented it back in for me. He warned it might only last a day but 3 days later it's still in place. He also gave me holiday tips for the time we had left. Filled in an insurance form without even having to ask. Totally recommend

Negative experience: Had an appointment for 11:30.I was told on arrival they are 20-30 minutes behind. That's fine, I waited patiently for 1/2 an hour, than 1 hour. Finally went up to politely asked how my 11:30 appointment is going. Was told stilll 20-30 minutes away. Thanks for nothing. It doesnt pay to be polite and patient here

Negative experience: I was supposed to be done this Wednesday. I was being told their system shut down when I got there at my appointment time. And they can NOT do anything ask me wait another week. BUT I already booked and waited two weeks. Then they recommend me go to the Smithfield shop. Then I went to there on Saturday. Trust me that one more horrible. Can you trust a dentist with his eye boogers when he do something for your teeth?? By the way, the Smithfield dentist spent 10mins cleaned my teeth. Of course it’s such a bad job he had done, then I went to another dental clinic after three days, this wonderful dentist spent around 40mins checked and cleaned all my teeth deeply.

Fantastic experience: Best experience I've ever had at a dentist by a long shot. Rachel is amazing and has an impeccable bedside manner and fantastic attitude. I've had three appointments there for fillings and she talked me through everything she was doing and took great care to ensure I was comfortable the whole time. She's always bubbly, caring, and empathetic. The reception staff are also very friendly, communicative, and accomodating with appointment scheduling. They're also literally next door to Medibank and are an approved partner, so if your insurance is with MBP and you need to work out costs you couldn't ask for better convenience. I cannot rate them highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Haven't been to the dentist in forever. I'm always afraid to go to hear bad news. Today I went in nervous AF but came out feeling at ease and soo much more confident to go again! Great staff! Rachel and Kabi made me feel so comfortable and at ease.

Negative experience: Dentist explained what was going on in depth well and answered my questions. But offered an xray without telling me it was going to be an extra $82. Left a sour taste in my mouth

Fantastic experience: This was easily the best Dentist I have been too. I have never felt so comfortable. My dentist was the bubbliest, incredibly knowledgeable women. She went out of her way to answer my questions and make sure I had everything needed to follow the appointment. I would recommend this practice as your go to family Dentist practice.

Positive experience: The bill for a check up and X-ray at cairns central, about 30-40 min for $214. The front desk staff didn’t mention anything about 10% discount if you are RACQ member. Over $200 still a big money. Not happy with the front desk service. They said they have flyer there. But definitely not at the reception desk area. I asked them to give the credit for the next appointment. They said they cannot. I only can use it from next appt.

Negative experience: DO NOT RECOMMEND! Highly overpriced and the dentist I saw named Paul did not do a very good job on my fillings. Seems like he just rushed it and now my front tooth doesn't even look normal.. had to book in to see another dentist else where so they can fix his mistake... could've just gotten free dental from JCU student who probably would have done a better job.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars, I would have. Front staff absolutely incompetent, they rescheduled my dentist appointment 3 times and the dentists’ work was very poor as well. My retainers glue fell off after only 3 days. Absolute waste of money! I recommend this dentist to no one

The staffs were so easy to talk to in regards to what I was wanting and my concerns, I had multiple appointments made and they took the time to make sure it suited me. Dr Alex took the time to explain the steps and talked me through everything being done, it was a completely pain free and smooth process and he is very much focused on his patients and their comfort. Positive experience: I'm not sure why a dental surgery would advertise themselves as taking 'emergencies' and not actually take dental emergencies. Gave my husband a pretty rude answer when he called to ask for an emergency appointment. Sharon and Gary's teeth whitening appointment was much more important in their eyes.

Negative experience: Pulled 5 teeth in onetime given no script for pain relief which dentists will give u? Absolute not smiling wife went there & was under pain then they give her script for antibiotics no pain relief $240 for nothing no clean nothing waste money!

Fantastic experience: All the staff member is friendly and professional. Especially Dr. Rachel is very kind and the greatest dentist I have ever seen! She takes time and explain each process to my son. Her treatment is gentle with care. My son loves to see her everytime. She is the best pediatric dentist! Highly recommended Dr. Rachel!

Positive experience: Really lovely staff just very overpriced for an X-ray and dental review within 10-15 minutes, to then be told to go to a specialist.so after paying $150 I now have to go to a specialist and pay the fee to see them to then do the dental work, wish I had gone straight to the specialist. Nice group of people but don’t think I would go back in a hurry.

Negative experience: This is a place you can do a free clean if you're insured with BUPA but I wouldn't trust this place to do anything else. It was my 2nd time getting a clean there and my last. The 2 stars are going to friendly efficient professional looking receptionists at the front doing their job right. The dentist & his assistant are simply LAZY with little care to improve the practice because it's run by a corporation and they are there for a pay-check clocking the hours. During Corona Virus you'd expect some more effort for hygiene not just some QR code to scan. It's very hot in Cairns so you'd expect some protector on the dentist chair & a disposable cover changed for every customer. Not here... and they said they never heard of any dentist that does it... wow... It was more shocking to know that they don't systematically do it since it's common around the world even to wear protective plastic bags around shoes before they even let you inside a clinic. I had to sit bare skin directly on an unprotected chair and was hot and sticking onto it and it didn't seem it has been sanitised in any way before the previous customer. The room didn't seem to have an air con altogether but I remember there was an old fan unplugged in the corner and bunch of tangled wires on a floor that hasn't been vacuumed. During the clean a lot of liquid got outside my mouth and went along my neck straight onto the unprotected chair (gross) and had the back of my dress all wet afterward. Maybe you're the person who'd be sitting in that chair with all body fluids spilled on it on a daily basis. All equipment is so outdated like they invested the bare minimum in the 90s. The assistant seemed not very proactive what so ever anticipating that you might need water already filled up in your cup or tissues at hands reach to wipe your face. If you love mediocrity then you might be pleased with this type of below-average service. But if you've ever been to any high-end 5-star private clinic that take pride in their work, invests in brand new tech, understands your needs as a customer you'd be running out the door dissatisfied and will never return. Having better quality doesn't even necessarily mean more expensive. It's just some private dentists care more about their brand than others.

Fantastic experience: I had gone to see Dr Paul for getting a tooth filled. I am generally nervous about visiting dentists but Dr Paul and his team were very warm and friendly and put me to ease. I was told of the situation and , they fixed my tooth with minimal discomfort. Will definitely recommend 1300 Smiles.

Fantastic experience: Reachel is absolutely amazing with kids and so confident and full of knowlage. I was very worried about taking my son zaiden who is 7 hrs old and has autism to his appointment. We have had to have him put to sleep to have procedures done before but she managed to happily encourage him to get as far as even taking pictures of his teeth a clean and a few other thin gas. So very happy!
