Fantastic experience: It’s no exaggeration to say that this is the most amazing dental practice I’ve been to. I’d gotten veneers at another practice years ago on the advice of my dentist. Unfortunately they were just too big for me and leading to health problems. Dr Shawn noted the health impact straight away. I’m so grateful that he spoke to it and that I’ve had them replaced at The Dental Room. Both Dr Shawn and Chloe are exceptionally skilled at what they do and are thoughtful and generous with their approach, which I appreciated so much. Their receptionist Jessica is lovely and helpful. They all go above and beyond and very much deserve the wonderful reputation they have. For those specifically after veneers - I hope this helps: Dr Shawn and Chloe are an amazing team, so really, the toughest thing about the whole process can be to identify specifically what it is you want. For some it’s easy, but for those who have had significant issues with their teeth it can be difficult. If you find the idea of being able to recognise a suitable shade for yourself challenging, as I did, I recommend you voice that to Dr Shawn and Chloe from the outset. They’ll offer great advice throughout the process which is enormously helpful. Ultimately it’s your call though, so be sure to get as clear as you can from your side and if you need extra time or help to talk it through - voice that as early as you can. Chloe is such a skilled ceramist that even brighter shades can look beautifully natural with her work - something I did not expect. Both Dr Shawn and Chloe have an exceptional eye for detail, so you really are in the best hands at this practice.

Fantastic experience: I LOVE my new smile! I researched 50+ dental studios that do veneers and their before and after photos across mainly London Australia New York and LA and Dr Shawn and Chloe’s aesthetic was exactly what I wanted - as natural as possible. I travelled from London and I cannot thank Dr Shawn and Chloe (the veneer and smile gurus) for making my smile so perfect for me. I had a couple of chipped teeth and some strange dental work when I was a teenager that made the right side of my mouth drawn up and extremely unsymmetrical to the left. Dr Shawn was cautious and shared realistic expectations on what could be done while maintaining my bite and making everything work mechanically so that I don’t have issues down the line just because I wanted it to be perfectly a certain way. They truly exceeded expectations on all accounts - the smile, the color, the natural look, the bite perfection. really couldn’t be happier with the result! I would recommend Dental Room to anyone looking for a new smile that is perfectly you and natural.

Fantastic experience: My two children, aged 2 and 4, had their very first dental appointment recently, and it was a truly positive and memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, creating a calm and friendly atmosphere. The dentist was incredibly kind and patient, taking the time to ensure my children felt safe and comfortable throughout the appointment. I’m truly grateful that their introduction to dental care was such a pleasant one. We look forward to returning each year for their regular dental check-ups!

Fantastic experience: I am always apprehensive with visiting a new dentist and I must say from the first visit to now my third I was made to feel welcome, comfortable, and confident that I was in the right place. Fantastic experience: I made the trip down from Sydney to The Dental Room in Melbourne for a porcelain veneers smile makeover, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. From the moment I walked through the door, Jess at the front desk greeted me with a warm smile and instantly settled my nerves. I knew right then I was in good hands. Fantastic experience: Have been going to The Dental Room for the many years and cannot reccommend Dr Niusha highly enough. She is thorough and gentle and was amazing with my 3yr and 7yr old, especially my 3 yr old, who was shy and doesnt really like people.. she built a rapport with her immediately. They always follow up after major dental work to see how you are recovering and will always work to fit you in when you have a dental emergency.

Fantastic experience: The Dental Room is aesthetically lovely, immaculate and a relaxed friendly atmosphere! Right from my first appointment with Dr Shawn I felt relaxed and confident that he would be able to achieve what I wanted with my teeth. I don’t ordinarily write reviews but after the excellent experience I had at The Dental Room, I hope this is able to help others. Over the past year, I went through a rather difficult journey regarding veneers in Canberra and was willing to do whatever it took to find the right place to repair my teeth (and confidence). I spent weeks diligently researching all the “best” practices in Australia but was always drawn back to The Dental Room due to their detailed explanation of the process, excellent track record and, of course, great results. From the very moment I spoke to Dr Shawn and ceramist Chloe about my previous experiences and what I was hoping to achieve, I knew this was the right place for me. Everything was explained in great detail and they worked collaborative with me to ensure I was happy with all aspects of the design, feel and look. From the very beginning, Dr Shawn, Chloe and the team could not have been more accomodating, knowledgable, and professional - it truly did feel like a family! The service alone was worth coming up from Canberra, but I could not be more happy with the final results! Fantastic experience: The Dental Room is by far the best dentist I have been to. I started my journey with them around 1 and 1/2 years ago explaining that it was my dream to have perfect and healthy teeth again after a small accident. When I first met Dr Shawn Rama over virtual chat (I lived a few hours away), I knew straight away he and the team was going to achieve what I wanted. He has amazing attention to detail and was able to explain throughly about the ups and down, processes and more. Shawn emphasised from the beginning that the main goal is to preserve the tooth and that made me extremely happy! Shawn has a can do attitude and was always so positive! I came to my first in person appointment and felt so welcomed as I stepped through The Dental Room doors. I started with Invisalign and I was attended to by Shawn and Dominika. Each appointment I came to her a new retainer I was treated like family! They made sure I was educated on the process and gave me lots of take home information so that I wouldn’t be lost at home. After the Invisalign process was finished, I then started the process for porcelain veneers. This is where I first met ceramist Chloe Park. Chloe designed and created my veneers. Shawn and Chloe made sure to show me and consult with me throughly while creating my veneers. They listened to my wants, concerns and more. Chloe did some an amazing job hand crafting my veneers and made them look so perfectly natural. I was made to feel comfortable throughout the whole process and Chloe made sure the final results were exactly what I wanted. The colour, shape and width were all perfect! The whole team is bright, informative and bubbly. Dentists in general can be a place that appears daunting. But The Dental Room and it’s team are the exact opposite. I am sad that now my journey is over (but I LOVE MY TEETH) and I won’t get to visit them as often. But I look forward to my regular check ups. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for looking for general dental, veneers and more!

From having a clear understanding of my timeframe and desired outcome to the monthly appointments to make sure I was tracking along fine. 30 or so weeks later I went from very crowded bottom teeth to a wider perfect smile. Living on the Gold Coast I had many options to have them done near by, but after doing my research I knew it was worth travelling to Melbourne to see Dr Shaun and Chloe. My experience with getting porcelain veneers was second to none, I worked closely with Dr Shaun and their incredible in house ceramist Chloe until the very end, the both of them perfecting every single detail until we had the perfect end result. Fantastic experience: I had my veneers placed at the dental room 6 months ago. If you’re thinking about choosing/ trusting them with your smile - you can’t go wrong! Their amazing before and after results on Instagram are what caught my eyes to start with. The shapes, translucency and and attention to detail is like no other dentist. I’ve seen many other people with veneers that look bulky, too white or have un natural shapes - this is what you [won’t] be getting from the dental room. My two main concerns were the preparation (shaving) and the final outcome. Dr Shawn knew this and talked me through the process before, during and even after - showing me how little they actually ‘shave’ from your natural teeth. You will not be left with little ‘stumps’ if that’s what you’re worried about. I’m also a huge perfectionist, and loved the end result - especially after a month or so, when my gums completely settled. Many family and friends even told me they couldn’t see a huge difference compared to my previous teeth, which is EXACTLY what I wanted - my own teeth just better! Thank you to the dental room team for being patient with me, looking after me and listening to all my concerns. My life has truely changed as I now have my confidence back.

Fantastic experience: To get a smile makeover was a huge decision for me, and I’m excited to say “it is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made”. The whole experience with Dr. Shawn, Chloe, and his team exceeded my expectations. From start to finish they made me feel at ease and cared for. Within a week they completed the process, scheduling appointments that worked for us to be to finished in time for our travel dates. In total, I had 14 veneers and 5 crowns. I knew this was going to be a big procedure, especially with the condition my teeth were in. Dr Shawn guided me through the details of each stage of the procedure with confidence, skill and honesty. Chloe, the ceramist is a master at what she does. Together they make a phenomenal team, focusing on every little detail with the highest standards to their craft. Fantastic experience: I came to first visit Dr Shawn whilst he was doing Sydney consultations back in June with major concerns of the unnatural and discoloured look of my teeth which I had done from a previous Sydney Dentist (1 crown and 3 resin composites). I had been to multiple dentists in Sydney to try and fix the shape as I wanted that “perfect natural look” and was yet to succeed. I found Dr Shawn on Instagram and absolutely loved his work. What also set him apart from others was having Chloe ( on-site colour ceramist) as colour matching can be the hardest part. I flew down from Sydney twice with my 3 month old baby and Dr Shawn, Chloe, Grace and the team were all so accommodating especially having my baby there. I honestly couldn’t be happier with the end result of my 4 porcelain veneers! Was a risk travelling up and back from Sydney but it sure paid off!

From the get-go, I knew he was the right person for the job, so I travelled from Sydney for veneers. Fantastic experience: My journey started this year when a dentist in NZ told me my teeth were crumbling and I needed veneers. So after being told this I panicked and got the veneers, as soon as they were put on I new they weren’t right and I was very self conscious. I stumbled across the dental room on Instagram and started looking into their process, start away I knew what I had put on wasn’t right and I needed to fix my teeth so we made a consult over zoom, straight away from the zoom consult I felt a caring and warm energy from Shawn and he told me he could fix them. We made our app and booked a holiday to Melbourne. The whole process was so smooth and Chloe’s and Shawn actually listened to me and worked with me to come up with a result we would all be happy with. He told me I needed to look past the “bulkiness” of the temporary’s but I had to laugh because my temporary’s were night and day from what I had before and I was already 1000 times happier than I had been at the start of the year. I felt like me again and I wasn’t worried about opening my mouth. A week later my new smile was ready to be put in. I honestly cried with happiness, I couldn’t recommend Shawn and Chloe enough, they’re so kind and empathetic and just want the best for you. The only thing I’m sad about is that Shawn is in Mel and I live in New Zealand otherwise I would make him my permanent dentist. My bottom teeth had always been a little crooked but over the past few years they had become noticeably worse and I felt it was time to do something to straighten them. Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend The Dental Room enough! Had 10 veneers placed elsewhere and they were painful for months and just esthetically not right. Re-doing them is frustrating and expensive so I did a LOT of research before choosing a new clinic. Trust me when I saw Dr Shawn & Chloe do the best, most high quality veneers in Australia. They’re so good I flew in from overseas to have them done as I don’t live in Australia. And making them on-site means they can do them faster than other places (and you don’t want to be in your temporaries for longer than you absolutely have to). This also allows a much more interactive process where you can really be sure you’re happy. Dr Shawn & Chloe are so caring and lovely to work with and worked very hard to get the result I was looking for (and even more importantly to ensure my veneers were finally comfortable). I came across the Dental Room through more research, booked in a consult and I honestly would never look back. From my first appointment to my last, not only has the whole team been so warm and welcoming, I have felt confident with the process every step of the way. Dr Shawn, is phenomenal. From being super transparent and realistic with my result expectations (in which were exceeded!!) to always having a calm, humble and positive attitude at every appointment. Thank you! Chloe (aka the magician) is a true artist! My veneers were custom and suited to me. The shape, colour, length, everything about them is so perfectly natural, whilst still having a wow factor, I can’t thank you enough. Having a ceramist on site allowed me to truly have the ability to customise my smile and Chloe was there every step of the way. No other place offers this and it’s honestly a game changer! To Caitlin, Hien, Chloe and Dr Shawn, you have all made my veneer experience so much more than I ever imagined it to be. I could not recommend the dental room any higher if I tried.

Negative experience: About 3 years ago I attended this clinic (because of the 5 star reviews) to get my teeth whitened. I was advised that because I have calcium spots on my teeth (yep they are still there) that it would be best for me to undergo a micro abrasion of my enamel to get rid of those marks and it would make the whitening much better. However- it was NOT explained to me the damage that this would cause to my teeth or to my enamel, I was told it was safe and of course, not being a dentist myself I relied on the advice of the “professional”. Instantly, my teeth turned grey, they are now translucent because of the damage caused to my enamel and in the process of the abrasion they even managed chip my front tooth. I contacted them and they did not offer any reassurance, I posted a review of my experience and they called me right away telling me they would give me a full refund of $750 (yep- twice the price of most teeth whitening services) provided I took down my experience as the most important thing for this company is their 5 star reviews so that they can get more people like me to go to the clinic. I wonder how many other complaints have been paid off. 3 years later and a lawyer myself who deals with countless cases of medical negligence and I refuse to allow this to happen to anyone else. They have caused me extreme sensitivity where I now need to by expensive toothpaste to prevent the pain from eating, my teeth which were beautiful are now grey and translucent in some areas and the enamel has been irreversibly damaged, I will NEVER get my healthy teeth back again. I will need to undergo dentistry in the future to have my teeth looking healthy and preventing further enamel damage, the only real “treatment” is veneers which you guessed it, is $20k plus. You NEED to research everything before letting anyone touch your teeth. You will never get them back once they are destroyed. I was 20 and naive abs taken advantage of, and I don’t want that to happen to any of you.

Absolutely overwhelmed with the caring reception staff, and with in 20 mins had analgesia and appointment made for extraction within an hour and a half. Fantastic experience: I flew from Sydney to visit the dental room, after seeing the various natural looking veneers that they showcase on Instagram, I knew I wanted to upgrade from my bulky bonding. From day 1 the staff were so kind and accomodating. Chloe the in-house ceramist is AMAZING, I wanted a particular tooth shape; square, and wider then my existing teeth, she was realistic about my expectations, yet exceeded my expectations. After wearing the temporary veneers for 3 days there were a few changes I wanted made, I wanted the teeth to be a little wider, so I came in on a Sunday when Chloe was creating my new teeth and we took some photos and discussed where and what I wanted changed. Then I had the permanent veneers put on by Dr Shawn ( whose also amazing) and I am sooo happy with my teeth, the overall process only took 5 days, where I was able to enjoy Melbourne in the interim.
