Fantastic experience: How wonderful is Harper Dental in Ballarat ! I have had such a phobia with dentistry .Now thanks to the gentle informative approach of dental work by such professional and hospitable staff - including the dentists, I have a more positive attitude towards the care of my teeth and the health of my mouth . Thank you all at Harper Dental Ballarat !

Negative experience: Do NOT use this company. Complete fraud and will rip you off your super! After driving along distance to see one of there doctors in Ballerat almost ripped off $37,000.00 after being drop down to supposedly $23,000.00 DO NOT USE THEM HONESTLY! DONT SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU! And they never even messaged me back or anything. Like nothing AT ALL! Honest review of this company and I'm a military veteran who does qualify for the super release. DO NOT USE THEM... IF YOU DO... DONT SAY YOU WERE NOT WARNED! Disgusting!!! They didn't even get my name right on the quote, nothing. On the quote multiple cleans and heaps of extra stuff, added extra teeth to the quote and all i wanted was my teeth healthy. I supposedly qualified for $1000.00 dollar voucher and nothing, literally charged for everything and overcharged at that, they honestly tried to rip me off. Very proud for spotting this too. Staff VERY RUDE TOO. If you click on my stuff you can see i give credit were credit is due! Also this came from social media through another company called Dental Members Australia both companies have been submitted to the ato as well. I actually walked into this business and seen a supposed doctor too, so thats even more scary. Very glad to be away from them and back on the road! I told them how much I had in super just sitting there and you wouldn't believe it, thats how much the quote was for, except they would have left me with a couple of hundred. Almost bankrupt my super, VERY PROUD FOR SPOTTING THIS BEFORE HAND! If I could i would leave my email here but i cant sorry (cant even upload pics of the quote), to show you all the proof as this is just disgusting to do to someone! *****You WILL see below they have said no charge was added... that is correct but that is only because I did not go ahead with the super release with this company and it WAS MOST CERTAINLY ADDED TO THE QUOTE THAT WAS GOING TO BE SENT TO THE ATO FOR THE RELEASE OF FUNDS. So you would have definitely charged me for something I was supposed to have free. Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Also every single filling was extremely over priced judging by ither quotes receieved!

Negative experience: It has been 14 months and now i get a response. Its very rude to contact someone over a year later via text message after hours... tonight i just had a worker eliza text me offering me a $500 voucher.... Very unprofessional....

Negative experience: I went back five times in 1 year to fix my wire retainer and every time it broke again. I had had it for 20 years prior to this with no issues. I finally went to another dentist who replaced it and it has not broken. He said that Harper Dental had incorrectly positioned on the tooth. Go somewhere else for your orthodontics!!!! I attended this clinic under my married name and am located in Ballarat now so please ignore the below attempt to disregard my review

Fantastic experience: I've been a loyal customer at HD for around 5-6 years. The receptionists are consistently friendly, engaging in conversations and genuinely getting to know clients. As a regular, they address you by name, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Dr. Ian, my orthodontist since the start, has been dedicated, friendly, and accommodating. Unlike other orthodontists who might discourage certain procedures, Ian and his team have willingly adjusted to my needs. For instance, they removed my braces temporarily for an event to boost my confidence and promptly reinstalled them afterward without any hassle. Dr. Steven has also been fantastic with my little girl, who, at three, is still frightened to open her mouth to be examined, but Steven has always tried his best to encourage her by being fun and playful whilst in the exam rooms. We will keep trying I highly recommend HD for any of your dental needs.

I can't say enough about the level of care, patience and choice they've offered me as I start some fairly major dental work (because I left it too long!). Special shout out to Dr Steven Ting. His attention to detail, sense of humour, and patient-first approach is truly appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I have just begun my aligners journey and Dr. Ian Harper was a really good choice. He settled all my concerns about my teeth and gave great advice on how to best treat. Additionally, the service at the clinic was also great. The staff at the reception and those helping out with the procedure were all really kind and helpful.

The dentist are fantastic, I was terrified of the dentist chair but after coming to this dentist I happily sit in the chair with no problems! Negative experience: I found the staff at reception lovely. However I question the cost and diagnosis. I was quoted almost $4000 for treatment of two back teeth. One apparently needed a crown and a root canal ASAP. I explained to the dentist I could not afford this and asked if there were other options. I was told there wasn't. I then felt pressured to book several appointments in advance and take out a payment plan. I decided to get a second opinion. I am so glad I did. I had my treatment today at another dentist. No root canal or crown required! Two teeth done for $900. I really don't understand this.

Fantastic experience: The reception staff are always friendly. Gina is easy to talk to and very professional. No one enjoys going to the dentist, but the whole place makes the experience as good as it can possibly be. Well done to all the lovely people at Harper Dental.

Fantastic experience: 7 years ago, I fell and knocked one of my teeth out which required an implant. As my local dentist didn’t specialise in this area, Ian Harper and his team came highly recommended. A bone graft and an implant later, I haven’t looked back since and am very grateful to Ian for helping restore my smile. The professionalism and genuine care received at Harper Dental is second to none, which is why I now consider them my dentist of choice, and happily travel 2 hours down the road for all my general check-ups. Dr Ameer has been looking after me on my recent visits and I have been very impressed with his level of care, knowledge and experience. Such a pleasant demeanour and very thorough, highly recommend!

My neighbour recommended Harper's and once a toothache set in, I rang and was surprised to get an appt the next day. I found all staff to be so friendly, welcoming, calm and professional. Varun explained options and procedures well. The environment was relaxing and not rushed. First time I have had a follow up call to check how I was doing, very impressive. Thanks Harper team.

Fantastic experience: A great dentist, everyone from reception, to the nurses and the dentists are always friendly and accommodating.

Positive experience: My family and I attended Harper Dental for a few years and have now all left. I was happy initially but ultimately the high turn over of dentists meant that myself and/or my children were seeing a different dentist every visit which isn't ideal. One dentist in particular was quite rough with my daughter and left her afraid to go back (i believe she has now left). The incessant phone calls and contact by admin are also just too much. They will call multiple times about upcoming appointments asking if you can change the time, or offering other appointment times to you, sometimes these are five months in advance. This occurs for every appointment and isn't just a one off. I ended up asking them to not call me anymore because it became too much. While I am sure this is at request of someone higher up, i'd suggest a different approach because it is extremely frustrating. The admin staff were always lovely when we visited in person though.

Fantastic experience: Had a back tooth extracted by Mohammed. It was a seamless and painless experience. He had a lot of patience and was extremely caring, to make sure I was completely numb. The after-care was also of high quality.

Dr Steve is very thorough and takes the time to explain what is happening with your teeth and the options available. He invited questions and encourages you to voice any concerns you may have. Georgia is lovely and assists Mohamed so professionally and therefore I just ‘chill’ with my eyes closed or I watch the TV knowing I am in fabulous hands. How lucky is Ballarat to have Ian and Mohamed and their expertise and professional caring ways!
