Negative experience: I've been with Doctor Sham for over 20 years, now, after a conversation with the receptionist there I was informed that the practice is happy to transfer my records to a new dentist. Clearly, the receptionist is happy to lose patients and doesnt seen to care that being pompous and putting blame on customers isn't acceptable behaviour. If you cancel an appointment that you shouldn't have, the least you can do is just apologies, rebook it, and not try and tell the customer it's there own fault. So I guess I'll be looking for a new dentist, which is a great shame.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I had a bad experience here at Anchorage dental, as someone who has terrible anxiety around dentists this left me more anxious and untrusting than ever. At the end of last year I had a routine checkup with Ivy Wu, I was told I needed 2x small easy fillings so I went ahead and got these done. Weeks later I felt pain and abnormal sensations in both teeth so went back for a check up, I was told everything appeared fine. The pain settled a little however never completely went away so I went to another dentist I trusted and he ended up redoing one of the fillings, the other one I still experience pain and will most likely need to have re done too. I’m disappointed with my experience here as I walked in with no issues / pain and ended up leaving with just that. To this day I can’t eat properly on one side which impacts my day to day, unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend Ivy Wu at Anchorage dental.

Fantastic experience: This is the most friendly and professional Team I have been too in years. It is hard to put your trust in a dentist and assistant when you do not expect what will happen in the chair. I was warmly received by reception and then the dentist and his assistant were kind and gentle. No surprises because I was talked through every moment of what was happening. Personalised calls from reception and even photos send to my mobile to help me make decisions for implants. I cannot recommend this Dentist highly enough. Thank you to each of you.

Fantastic experience: After a very long and traumatic experience with another practice, I was referred to Dr Shams by my mother in law. I can not speak highly enough of this dentist. He is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, gentle and kind. His bedside manner is second to none. He was able to address the issue on the very first visit and relive me of the constant pain I had been suffering. His dental assistant Lucy is fantastic as well, as are all the reception staff. Dr. Ben and his nurse Lucy made me very comfortable throughout the process and were always transparent with procedures, expectations and costs involved. The reception staff managed to move around other patients to fit me in for the wisdom teeth extractions that afternoon.
